He just wants to climb up the ladder and he knows he can do it all by himself.

Knowing how sid hides his true emotions , i think he did this "let's start afresh" thing because he got to know anushka and his dad always discussed him .

I would say he is kind of disappointed with the latest piece of info on prabhakar's past and how he lost a case for government and that made him feel his father has no values etcetera but somewhere he feels connected to his dad through anushka.

In this show the actions of two people have a deeper meaning than what meets the eye. 1. Sid 2. Kk . Both are similar yet different. Both are not exactly straight forward.

And yes, this "new" friendship will ultimately lead sid to the past and he will somehow rectify all the mistakes he made. The next 6 months of this show will be sid's journey. So i am expecting robbie to turn up thereby leading towards a lot of things that were left incomplete to their closure
