@ Gaayu I just googled for the meaning..it means restrainer, the CVs have named the characters very sensibly me thinks...if Abeer is colorful and liberated then Yami gives him the stability he needs...complimenting each other....
Hope my interpretation is not way off...😆...sorry actually I am way off, she is not Yami in the serial...signs of craziness showing off...

Am impressed with you ya... It didn't occur to me to google at all! Yami is a Hindu/Hindi name? Never heard before...

You are not way off actually. Gaurav means pride right? Yami means restraint? Then they sound fine together😉

Yami is actually the female form of Yama (so says the google)
Since we were discussing about the hairdos for Yami...

Do you think Yami looks pretty in straightened hair or the one she has now with curls at the end ?(I think that's stupid question, sorry couldn't think of anything better😆)

I loved wake up sid from 2009
and someone on Parul's fb asked her about Leher's hair ,so she vaguely replied that she wears a wig,i was a little unsure of the info but thot I'd mention it since we'e discussing the hair and I do think that the curls add to her strong persona...

umm do u think Yami would look better in western outfits ?

Yami is the female version of Yama? Gosh... she must be the only person in the whole of India with that name!😲 Are we sure this is her official name? Or is this her telly name?

She wears a wig? Even more gosh...😲😲 Why? She seems to have nice hair! Or have we only seen her with the wig? She would look nice with curls I think...

Yami would look great in western outfits also I guess... she is tall and has a nice figure.

To break down caste barriers, would you like to see Abeer turn to eating meat/egg/fish? Or would you prefer him to remain vegetarian on principles other than that of caste?

i don't know as i have not seen her in western outfits but i think she will look good in shalwar kameez, churidar, lehnga, sarees, etc.
