Sudha might have felt so disgusted seeing how her mother-in-law was behaving. I wonder when will she gather the courage to speak up, in private, not in front of all. I seriously want TN in the picture now. Was he around when dadi was insulting the Majumdars? He needs to see how his mom is behaving and do something about it. I know according to him Madhav did wrong by wanting to marry a Bengali, but that does not jusify dadi's treatment towards the Majumdhars. If one person does wrong once, it does not give rights to the other person to do wrong forever. I really want TN to interfere now for good.

Anvi, I doubt if he will. I think that as far as the creatives plotting the story goes - this entire Madhav-Rashmi track is in the natue of being a worst case scenario for all parties concerned. By another couple's example, everybody - Abeer, Lehar as well as their respective families are going to see exactly what the repercussions are of this kind of behaviour. Although TN said very grandly that he would 'bedakhal' his son if he ever did something like this - he will now see for himself how catastrophic such a stance would be. I think this track will allow ALL the main characters in their stories to make course corrections - Sudha will know exactly how far her MIL can go, TN will understand how he will feel if his son really walks out, Mathurs will understand how severe the reaction from the Brahmin family is likely to be.

Seriously, even I wonder, what will it take for the Majumdars to cancel the wedding. How much more insult can they tolerate.

This is what I like about the creatives, just due to trps, they are not compromising with the story line. This is what I want. Stick to the story. It take guts to not show the leads through out the episode. From your analysis it seems like there were no Abheer or Lehar scenes, neither together nor separately. I have no complains about it. 😊
Me neither 😊 - I want the story to be fleshed out properly. And although we may starve for romance 😳 it is best that it comes when it is the right time rather than all the time.

i actually liked the guy and his character but yest he was very disappointing,I even had a thought that Sudha might just end up saying something but she didn't I guess she couldn't oppose Boodha no matter how much she wanted to from within...

Thanks, Hina. As I was saying to Anvi, I don't think either TN or Sudha are going to say very much at this time. First they (or at least, Sudha) are constrained by a sense of decorum - this is not their family. Secondly, much more important than what they say is what impressions they form in their minds about the whole thing.

Sudha - it is very clear. She hates the whole situation. She is embarassed, deeply upset at this display of bad manners and inhumane attitude. She cannot say very much - it is not her personality to leap in and interfere. She has a long history of discreet battles with her mother in law but she is always very respectful. But Sudha who might keep quiet now, will certainly not keep quiet if her mother in law tries to ruin HER Lalla's life like this. I think Sudha will pick her battles and speak up later.

TN is more ambiguous.
  • At the base he disapproves of Madhav's decision to marry outside his community.
  • He also thought at the beginning that the Shuklas were being very soft by agreeing.
  • He also has a superiority complex and tries to lecture anyone who he thinks he can influence.
BUT BUT BUT, in SPITE of this background, I think TN is a better man than he himself knows. I think that even he is shocked by the ill manners, the discourtesy being shown in his own house to a family merely because they are from another community. If this Madhav-Rashmi thing escalates and the wedding is called off, TN will see for himself exactly what will happen if he takes up the same attitude that the Shuklas have done.
Only Mr and Mrs Shukla and Daadi think that they are coming off very victorious in this matter. Everyone else - even their own relatives - are looking shocked and embarassed at how the Majumdars are being treated. Of course, they will realise only later how utterly they have ruined their own reputations by behaving like this!
😡
I really hope they SUFFER.

great ! u kinda helped me find the missing goodness in TN ,i didn't think of him in this perspective and yes this entire scenario is creating a platform to witness the upcoming story of Abeer and Leher

whereas Sudha ,I agree will revolt when it comes to her own son,for now she's keeping out as required and is best for everyone...she isn't the kind to interfere !
