@Avni-Hi avni, call me samira or sam😊Thanks for explaining TN's character to me i cant understand him because i just cant relate to him.Even i think he has distaced himself from his kids ,he just gives instructions to sudha regarding the kids and just expects her to do all the work.Cant help but feel a little sorry for him must be a very lonely existence in his world.
Even i have doubts regarding abeer wanting to become a lawyer.I think he just doing it because everyone expects him to be a lawyer.

Sam, you can call me Anvi 😊.

Ok, to help you relate to TN, have you seen Taare Zameen Par. Ishaan's father's character, Mr. Awasti, is kind of similar to TN's character. Though Abheer is not like Ishaan, but Awasti's personality and treatment towards Ishaan is the same as TN. They do not try to understand their kids, they just scold them when they are wrong.

The sad part is that TN does not realize the consequences of distancing himself from his children that he is depriving himself of the joyful experience of seeing his children grow. He does not even realize the tension he is giving to Sudha. He and his mom are extremely similar in thinking. They do not realize or feel that their words might be hurting the other person. They think, what they are doing and saying is right, the rest are wrong. Sudha or the children are not allowed to express their opinion. They must only follow the orders.

@ Samira - Lovely analysis of the episode. Agree with you ... me too .. loved the scene where Mathur forgives Abeer. The way Abeer came upto Mathur and said sorry, was just too cute .. so genuine and straight from the heart. And ofcourse, Mathur's reaction and hug was equally sweet .. Both are such sweethearts 😳
My most favourite part though .. was the AbHer scene! When Leher sees Abeer in her room and flips out .. loved how Abeer .. so calmly .. explained her the whole situation .. AND DIDN'T LOOK UP AT HER EVEN ONCE!! 😃 His eyes were lowered the whole time he was speaking with her .. and then he quietly walks out. That was soo soo sweet! Just goes to show the respect has come in for Leher .. and how much he has taken her word 😳 Loved it!!
@ Anvi - Simply looooooved your analysis of TN's character!! Brilliant!!! 👏 Word to everything you said! And for exactly what you said about TN .. even though his thinking and actions are annoying to say the least ... there is yet something about him that doesn't you can't hate him .. coz you look at him like a father. Not a perfect father .. but a father nonetheless. Beneath his hard exterior .. am sure lies a soft heart. He only doesn't show it.. But yeah, feel sad for Sudha and all that she would go through once the AbHer love story is out in the open.
Also .. agree that Abeer & Mathur are so similar. Loved how you said that looks like Mathur's present will be Abeer's future. I can totally imagine Abeer soooo lovey dovey with Leher at that age! 😃 😳

samira: GREAT analysis, i watch the show rarely but thanks to ur analysis have an idea where it is heading..

anvi: Brilliant summation on TN...The first couple of episodes i saw him i had the same impression too, he is not technically negative, he has been brought up and drilled on the importance of tradition, sanskaars, blah, blah...

Maybe his own dad was just like how TN is today with abeer strict and all..so he thinks he is doing the right thing for his family and abeer by being a more authoritative figure..

as in real life when u control someone too much u can expect a revolt of sorts...

That is what will happen in abeer's case too...

he will start questioning his own dad and his interaction with mathur as a father figure would be instrumental in the maturing process of abeer..

that is my guess here..

i think shukla aunty is going to use this to counter TN...when he comments on Madhav..that his own son was eating on a table which had non veg dishes on it...
