Rexy, I think TN is not negative. He is just a person who follows rules and man-made traditions religiously. For him, emotions and feelings dont exist. As long as you follow what he says, he has no problem with you. The thing is, I feel he does not give enough space for Abheer to breath. Had Abheer followed everything TN says, he would be depressed by now. Abheer barely ever listens to TN, he just follows his heart. TN is more like an emotionless person, when it comes to his interaction with his kids. I dont think so Abheer has received any affection from TN, which he will soon start receiving from Mathur. Instead of imparting good sanskars to his kids as a father, TN believes in giving dhamkis, scolding, and leaves everything to Sudha to make sure that the kids never falter. Its like, he has distanced himself from his children. They are more scared of him, than respect him from their heart.
You know, sometimes when I see fathers like TN, i feel they are doing some sought of business with their children, instead of loving them and imparting life principles to them. Today he said, if Abheer goes against the tradition, he will throw him out of the house. Its like you listen to me, you are in, or else out. Same way in business, you give money, u take the product, or else not. As a father, you teach your children the right path, you dont make them be scared of you. If Abheer ever has a doubt or is in a problem, he will never approach his dad for the solution. I understand that sometimes children makes mistakes, but there is a way to explain to them what is right and wrong. You can be strict with your children when needed, but not every time you interact with them. It is parents' duty to teach their children life's principles, and then you just have to trust your child. You cannot impose your thoughts on them. But to TN, he believes he is doing the right thing by imposing his thoughts on Abheer. I wonder if Abheer wanted to be a lawyer himself or is just doing it because his father wants him to. I am pretty sure, TN has never sat down with Abheer and imparted his knowledge to him. He has left all this to Sudha. And ofcourse, if Abheer falters, it is Sudha's fault, never his. TN type fathers will scold you for your weakness, but will never help you get rid of your weakness or understand your weakness and help you rise above it. To him, traditions and what society thinks are more important than his childrens' happiness. TN type people dont judge people by heart, but by caste. You can be the bestest person, but if you are not a Brahmin, then you are not worth talking to. And you can be the worst person, but if you are a Brahmin, you are his friend. They judge high and low by caste, not by deeds and sanskars.
Therefore, I dont think so he is negative. Like he does not wish bad for anyone or intentionally does bad to anyone. He just has a personality (his thinking process and his attitude towards life), which is completely opposite from Mathur's lovable personality.
LOL, Mathur home as Abheer second home, definitely waiting to see this. You are right, there is plenty of time for Lehar and her mom to be impressed by Abheer. After all, the marriage celebrations have not even started. 😉 Abhi toh only preparations are going on.
Yes definitely, there are alot of similarities between Mathur and Abheer. In fact I can very well see, Mathur's present as Abheer's future. Both are very similar in nature. Abheer will actually see a father-like image in Brij, and by being more with Brij, he will realize what he has missed from his own father. And again, Brij is a very rational being, who would put love and happiness of people much above man-made traditions.
