Hello everyone,

Since ArMu have been showering us with mind blowing scenes the past couple of days, I decided to tap into their chemistry to come up with something romantic for them. Some of you may know me from other forums and if you do, you might know that romance is typically my forte. But its been sooo long since I've written something like this that I found my writing very rusty to be honest and I am not happy with the outcome myself. So if it does not meet up to your expectations, I apologize in advance.

I am not putting in an age disclaimer but I will warn you that there is some mature content in the OS so read it at your own discretion. I've tried to keep it as age friendly as possible but if you are 10 years old this isn't the kind of stuff you should be reading. Khair, hopefully, ArMu keep inspiring me and I get to shake the rust off of my writing and come up with more romantic stuff for your guys.

As always, let me know how you like it/hate it.

Cheers,

Neet

P.S - C0raline, this is the story I promised you. I hope you like it! And Zarq meri jaan, I wrote in Hindi just for you!

||ArMu OS Forever||

He hesitated outside the door to their room. He smiled as he realized how easily the thought had come that it was no longer just his bedroom but theirs. Ever since Aru had stepped into his life, his heart, his mind, his thoughts had no longer been his own, then what was a room of four walls? He smiled. He'd been doing that more often too. Smiling, laughing, finding and enjoying the lighter side of life. But tonight, he needed his wits about him. And that was something he found increasingly difficult because he was so smitten by her her eyes, her smile, her charm, her honesty, the way she teased him. Ever since their return from Ahmedabad, where she'd assured him that she wouldn't let go of her dreams being with him, that she'd work towards her dreams from Amboli, she seemed to have unleashed the full force of her charm on him. Just today, she'd literally knocked the breath out of his chest by dressing up in a saree for the Navratri celebration in the village. Neither the function, nor the people gathered around him had gotten a single ounce of his attention. Despite his repeated attempts not to do so, his eyes had constantly sought her out in the crowds, his ears seemed attuned only to the sound of her laughter, her bangles and her anklets even amidst the noisy crowd. And when she smiled at him, he could feel his heart rise up and lodge adamantly in his throat, rendering him both breathless and speechless.

He couldn't let that happen to himself again. She had in all honesty and sincerity declared her love for him over and over again but he hadn't yet found the right words to tell her how he felt about her. How did one put into words the rhythm of one's heartbeat? What measure could he use to let her know how much a part of his soul she'd become? How did one explain each breath they took? Every thought in their head? How did one put into words the overpowering emotions he felt every time he saw her? A man like him, who had long given up hope of ever being in love, was now experiencing the throes of love like a giddy youngster, swept away in its strong tides, unable to put up even a modicum of resistance. Were there words that could aptly explain all of this to her? But he owed it to her, to give her those words she'd been waiting to hear. Taking a deep breath, he pushed open the door but stopped in his tracks.

The whole room glowed in the soft golden aura of colorful diyas. Aru was sitting by the bedside, lighting a diya, her face awash in the warm glow. He could just stand there and watch her all his life, he realized, and never tire of the sight. She looked ethereal, divine, fragile, beautiful and innocent.

"Arey Mukhiji! Aap aa gaye? Kaisa laga yeh sab? Aru asked, looking around the room. But Mukhi's eyes were fixed on her as he replied, "Bahut khoobsurat. "Woh maine socha, yeh hamari pehli Navratri hai na saath mein? Tho kyun na isse achche se manayein? Poora ghar diyon se sajayein, garba karein, khushiyan manayein.. she said happily as she twirled. When she stopped, she saw Mukhi looking at her with a certain intensity in his eyes. Was he angry with her? She wondered. "Dekhiye, main jaanthi hoon ki aapko yeh sab thaam jhaam, jashn sab nahi pasand. Par mere liye, please?

"Arey nahi nahi! Main naraaz nahi hoon. Tu ne sach mein bahut achchi taiyaari ki hai. Woh main tho bas.. Mukhi trailed off. "Aap tho bas kya? Aru asked, turning away from him and lighting a diya that had blown off. He took in a deep breath, "Aru.. She stopped what she was doing midway as her breath caught in her lungs. Every time he called her Aru, it did something to her insides. Maybe it was the husky masculine tone of his voice, or just the way her name sounded from his lips. There was something different about his tone and his voice when he called her Aru. She could never not respond to the way he said her name. "Woh.. Main.. Tujhse.. Woh main kehna chahtha tha.. he fumbled with the words trying to get them to come out right.

Aru closed her eyes. "Main jaanthi hoon Mukhiji aap kya kehne ki koshish kar rahe hain, she said. Mukhi looked at her surprised. Of course, she knew by know that he loved her but how did she know that at this moment, he was trying to express his feelings for her? "Aap mujhse phir se Ahmedabad waali baat karna chahthe hain na? she asked dejected. They had this conversation so many times, she had lost count, Aru thought as she went back to putting oil in the diyas and lighting them, not seeing Mukhi shaking his head to say no. "Main jaanthi hoon, main samajhthi hoon ki aap kyun hamare iss rishthe ko apnane se hichkicha rahe hain. Aapko lagtha hai ki meri khushiyan, mere sapne, sab Ahmedabad se jude hain. Aapko yeh bhi problem hai ki aap mujhse umr mein itne bade hain. Aapko lagta hai ki aapke saath rehkar mujhe kuch nahi milega. Mere sapnon ki udaan ek alag aasmaan mein hai. Aapse door. She finished lighting the diyas and turned towards him.

"Par dekhiye na, mere sapnon ki udaan tho yahan Amboli mein bhi ho rahi hai. Yahan pe bhi maine apne dupatton ka kaam shuru kiya hai. Hamara masala factory ab sirf masala factory nahi raha, ab tho maine wahan achar, papad aur namkeen bhi banvana shuru kar diya. Aur mere jitne Ahmedabad mein contacts hain, un sab se hamare yahan ke kaam ke liya humme achche clients bhi mil rahe hain. Mere sapne tho abhi bhi sachch ho rahe hain Mukhiji. Aur apne inhi sapnon se aaj mujhe aur bhi khushi mil rahi hai, kyunki aap mere saath hain. Meri iss udaan ko hawa aap de rahe hain. Mere inn sapnon pe pyaar ka rang chadha hua hai, hamare pyar ka, she hugged him tight. "Ab batayiye ki main aur kya karoon Mukhiji ki aapko mere pyaar par yakeen ho jaaye? she asked him, her eyes brimming with unshed tears. "Batayiye, main aisa kya karoon ki aapko mere yakeen par yakeen ho jaaye?

Mukhi cupped her face in his hands and wiped away the moisture in the corner of her eyes. "Aisa nahi hai Aru. Mujhe tere pyar par, tere yakeen par bharosa hai. Main tho bas.. It was their absolute moment of truth, he realized as he looked into her eyes. Her wide eyed innocence reflected the depth of her feelings for him. She had proven to him that all his fears were unfounded. She had accepted him and his ways, beyond the outer bearings of a middle aged, gruff, uncouth villager. She'd accepted the village life with a grace and maturity beyond her years, slipping smoothly and effortlessly into the role of a Mukhiyani who the villagers loved, adored and respected in equal measure. She had woven together his dream of working for Amboli's progress into the fabric of her dreams and worked tirelessly and passionately towards achieving it. How could he not fall head over heels in love with her?

Thank you ho ya sorry, keh ke nahi, kar ke bolna chahiye Mukhiji. Her words that she so often said to him twirled around in his mind. Surely he could extend that to saying I love you too? His hands still cupping her face, he brought her closer to him and placed a gentle kiss on her forehead. "Mukhiji.. Aap.. she started to speak again. Oh God! If she started talking again, he would never get a chance to speak. He did the only thing he could think of to stop her. He gently lifted her face towards him and kissed her.

The breath she'd just drawn in never made it out as his lips covered hers. The sensations that hit her in that instant were so overwhelming, she went numb. Then slowly, her mind registered the gentleness of the kiss, the prickling of his moustache and beard against her cheek, the way his hands moved from her cheek into her hair and she felt herself melt into a puddle.

She tasted like honey and sunshine, he thought as his lips moved slowly over hers. Every fiber in his being wanted to deepen the kiss but he stopped himself. He couldn't, wouldn't go ahead without knowing if she was ready. Even though she was now hugging him, he needed to know that she was okay.

When he started to pull away, she found herself missing the intimate proximity and tightened her hold on him, trying to stop him. Surprised at her own reaction, Aru's eyes flew open. He was looking at her with an intense hooded gaze that sent blood rushing through her veins. She could feel the heated crawl of a blush over her skin and unable to meet his gaze, she looked away.

The silence between them was so thick with tension that he deliberately chose a route of humor to ease things between them. "Kitni badbad karti hai tu. She still refused to meet his gaze, "Aap.. Aap.. Woh.. Main.. she struggled to think straight. "Lagtha hai tujhe chup karane ka tareeka mil gaya, he teased her.

She looked at him surprised. He was flirting with her? Teasing her over this sensual moment they'd just shared? She hid her face in his chest out of embarrassment and he immediately hugged her. There was a strange sense of contentment that she felt only when he hugged her. Like he completed her, filled a void in her that she did not know existed.

"Aru..

Oh the way he said her name, her stupid heart was doing cartwheels in her chest. She raised her eyes to look at him and his eyes spoke to her with an intensity that had her skin tingling, in excitement, in anticipation. "Tu galath soch rahi thi, he cupped her face again as he spoke. "Main tujhse Ahmedabad jaane ke baare mein baath karne nahi aaya tha. Main tujhe yeh bathane ki koshish kar raha tha ki.. His heart was pounding so hard in his chest, he was sure she could hear it too. But Aru was trying to calm the reckless thundering of her own heartbeats so she could hear what he was saying. "Main tujhe jaane nahi de saktha.. Kabhi nahi.. Kahin nahi.. Kyunki main tere bina nahi jee paoonga. Yaad hai tu ne mujhse poochha tha ki Mishri ke jaane ke baad main kiska chehera dekhke uthoonga? Aur maine tujhse vaada kiya tha ki jab koi aisa chehera dikh jaayega tho main tujhe zaroor bataoonga? Woh chehera tera hai Aru. Main.. A single tear rolled down her eye and he wiped it away. "Main tujhse pyaar karta hoon Aru. Nahi jee sakta tere bina, he said and a tear slid out the corner of his eye. Aru raised herself on tip toe and kissed his tear away. "Aap nahi jaanthe, she said, her voice choking with emotions, "main.. He placed a finger on her lips, "Phir se badbad? This time, she met his gaze and held it as she said, "Tho phir se chup kara dijiye na?

She couldn't believe she'd said that to him aloud. But the truth was, she loved him, with every breath, with every heartbeat and now knowing he felt the same way about her, hearing him say those words, she couldn't bear another moment of not being his.

He pulled her into his arms in response and hugged her as if he wanted to absorb her into his very being. And she responded with equal intensity. His face was buried in her hair and he slowly traced a path from her shoulder, up the column of her neck, over her cheeks before his lips once again found hers. His fingers traced over the curve of her hips to holder her tighter and she gasped in response, giving him the perfect opening to deepen the kiss. Emboldened by love, her hands reached up to thread into his hair as she pressed closer. In one swift move, he picked her up in his arms and carried her over to the bed. He gently laid her down and tucked a wayward lock of hair away from her face as he slid in next to her.

She evoked such a plethora of feelings in him that he couldn't think straight anymore. Part of him wanted nothing more than to make her his, to take their love, their relationship to being husband and wife in the truest sense but part of him had such strong protective, caring instincts towards her that he felt he'd rather die than ever hurt her. So he forced himself to slow down, get her comfortable. The way she responded to him with artless abandon, however, made it increasingly difficult for him to hold on to whatever little sanity was left in him.

The sensations coursing through her as he kissed every inch of her were exhilarating and terrifying at the same time. She felt as though she were perched at the very edge of a cliff and with each touch of his, each caress, each kiss, she was being nudged over the precipice. So she held onto him for dear life as she let him guide her through the storm of sensations.

Lost in each other, they traversed the rugged terrains of passion hand in hand, and when the moment came, when he claimed her as his forever, they came together in a blinding intensity of white light and shattered into a million colorful fragments in each other's arms. He kissed away the lone tear at the corner of her eye as he asked her, his voice still husky with passion, "tu theek hai? All she could do was nod her head before she buried her head in his chest and he gathered her in his arms, keeping her close to his heart, where he intended to keep her forever.
