👏👏 Thanks for this lovely post dedicated especially to the acting skill of Eijaz. But where is Eijaz??? I do not see him here in MMKD...all I see is Mukhi...all over, there is not a bit of Eijaz there. Usually when any actor plays a characted they carry on with their signature gesture but Eijaz has demoulded himself and put on Mukhi so well that we see only a village guy with his own damn-care attitude towards people who would laugh at the way he dresses or speaks. He has carved a niche for himself and is at par with the biggest names in the industry.

Agreed that Eijaz is carving a niche for himself with his depiction of Mukhi...I don't see Eijaz when I look at him anymore. Each scene, each nuance is well taken care of him.

I want to appreciate Niyati specifically here...Eijaz is an awesome and established , seasoned actor who knows how to hold himself with people around. Niyati is young , new, talented and very very grounded. Its so easy for her to be overwhelmed with acting a couple with a guy who is really 20 years her senior in all aspects. She can get bullied easily but she holds her own and brings her unique blend of charm, innocence, maturity and grace in the show. The bamboo scene must not have been easy for her, want to give my special kudos to her for it.
From scene one , day one, her chirpiness and lovely acting along with Mukhi's mukhiness for the lack of better words have made us fall for ArMu!!

Hi I can't resist to add with your post about his acting!! He is so real and so into his character omg!! The other day I am telling my husband about him and my husband saw one episode with me (who never care about any kind of Hindi serials )!even said he is really good !! Specially his Gujarati accent ,villagers like tone and body language, his sitting and walking style just so Mukhi!! So yes he is really talented and hard him saying in one interview that he always try to his best to the character do that's why he went a village and stay there and stay in a panchayat to see how do they do all kinds things there and he learn little little words which he uses in the show wow!!! Thanks for your lovely writing about Eijaz!!
BTW I am very very fussy about Hindi shows first if I don't like the story and the acting the character they are going has to be good so that's why this my show only !!

This thread made me so happy.. I am an Eijaz fan and use every opportunity to write about his work and how much I appreciate him as actor..

All the posts made in this thread made me so happy.. and I so so agree with this one by malkasub -

Eijaz has also totally spoiled us. I am unable to watch any other superficial hero on screen

This is absolutely true..

True that. Yes kudos to Niyati too and she has always been in character from day one.I was not taking away from her just was and have been so overwhelmed by that extra length Eijaz always goes to that felt compelled to make a post on this. His voice also that he uses as an acting tool floored me completely. I have known very few actors do that including in Bollywood.

Bold above: Precisely!! I totally agree to that. Yes, Niyati has held on her own in the towering presence of senior actors and that is extremely commendable...but particularly with Mukhi's character there are several aspects...the Gujarati accent/diction, the walk, the body language, inhabiting a character that is just so 'rural, so unlike you'..and is very specific to a culture is what makes playing Mukhi challenging and adds complex layers to the portrayal. I can easily relate to Aru...a girl wearing kurtas, educated, working, living in a city, she is just so a girl next door...someone whom we all must have met. I am like her in some ways, so basically, in terms of acting, Aru can have a lot of reference points, the challenge is to keep her believable yet different and Niyati is doing a fine job in that regard...But for Mukhi...it requires a deeper process of internalisation...and the use of voice particularly is a very useful tool here...Maari vaat sambhad the way he says that...the way he talks to Mastana or Dhingli is not a caricaturish version of a Kutchi villager...it is real...the way he brushes his teeth..using daatun, or small things like the way he welcomes Mishri's in-laws or gives life lessons to Deep-Mishri...is just fine acting on display. The approach, preparation and involvement has to be complete and of a very superior quality...he just cannot go wrong at any of those places...that is precisely where, he shines and sparkles bright. So, yes, I celebrate this character and applaud Eijaz for his solid work.👏👏👏

Agreed ladies, Mukhi character pans a huge diorama and has several layers..nuances, dialect, and shades in personality...and Eijaz is nailing it.
Niyati's role and acting as chirpy next door girl complements Mukhi perfectly.
The makers made a very wise decision by choosing actors in the same age as the characters...which id bringing out thd best combination..experience in Eijaz and bubbly freshness in Niyati.

There isn't an iota of doubt that by far Mukhi is the fascinating Indian ML I've come across. Credit definitely goes to Eijaz for breathing life into Mukhi. Kudos to his wonderful acting skills.
