its true, but Sony's all recent female leads have this somewhat progressive mindset and therefore, Sony shows never work. 😆

bt yaahan pe to ML bhi progressive hai while keeping the "Indian/South Asian" values intact. so I guess such bold step should work.

As Sony caters to urban audience, it wants to stick with love story-thriller-comedy genres I guess.

Since long I haven't seen a (regressive) social drama on Sony. 😳

Agree! And that is the reason the shows never have made it big in rural centres.

Even the TRP might be less but they do not show the stupid stuff like people turning in Macchar and that sort of drama.

To give them due credit, they always did give a different drama. Which other channel can boast they tried to show us serials like "Mahi Way" or "Rishta.com" or "Seven"

Even when they started they showed us stuff like "Alpviram" during the period when Star was showing "Kyon ki"

Generally I skim through all Hindi channels and watch out for new interesting love stories, try thm all for a few epis and pick one..

and I observed.. I always ended up with a Sony show.

Oh! I loved Mahi Way. Sadly, YRF shows didn't work. Thy were sooo sooo good!

SP attempted to change with its "Nayi Soch", got toppled down the TRP ladder by "More Regressive" Colors. Hence reverted back to original "nayi soch"

Now all its nayi soch is in terms of naye kapde, naye sets, nayi nayi saas and naye naye bahus...

C its most innovative serials POW and Durga aren't working... 😳 Its earlier supposedly path breaking show "Maryada" also didn't work... so brought in Gul.😆

Whereas Suhani... went on for like ages... 😆 and there is no reason or logic to these hit shows. 😆 😆 😆


Zee is sticking with clean shows.. the barjatiya types.. bt is still targeting the Rural and North Indian demographic and tier II-III cities.

If you observe carefully, thrs a pattern of certain types of serial at certain hours.

Thy know who will watch Ishbaaz and who will watch Tere Angne mein..

so like tht Balika Vadhu Maker said its all abt research and hits and misses.. and Sony always seems to miss bcoz its mainly for younger audiences and urban demograph. 😳

Bt, I think.. he was already a criminal and was absconding for 4 years and spreading terror around Amboli village..

The girl shown as mishri playing with Mukhi in first epi was quite young may b around 3-4 years old.

So Mukhi might've adopted her later on. or thrs a possibility he too doesn't know that Mishri is Rami's daughter. Bt I think he knows it and has adopted Mishri for that reason only.

My prediction is that there has to be some drama around Mukhi's stepping down as Mukhi. Only a real strong reason enuf, such as betrayal or a deep secret or not compromising on his ethics, can make him forsake his Amboli Village. 😳

I m sure uprooting Mukhi from Amboli village wudnt b an easy task. Also Rami plans to become Mukhiyani.. so she is going to trap Mukhi in a Catch 22 situation. With his dhal ARu not around, he will fall.

U think Kissan is Kailash's son? He might be Rami's illegitimate son with Laalji..Mishri being Rami's daughter? Errmm never thought that way.. could be possible..

Yeah.. thrs a possibility tht Kissan might Rami-Lalji's son. But she is not bothered abt Kisan as much as she is abt Lalji, she is not possessive over her son's rights against that of Mishri, which makes it less likely.

Patience my dear, .. all romance and no villiangiri wud make a show such bore..

--------Somehow I don't c any problem in Mukhi hiding this secret. He is human. He can err. And frankly, IMO, it doesn't really raise fingers on his integrity. His character is show to be somewhat authoritarian. He does right things for right reason, whatever b the consequences.

----------I don't think villagers would provide marry or die option. Here a child is involved. So it wud b either to name the father of the child and marry him or abort the child. I think somehow Mukhi came up with a different soln altogether which obviously didn't involve Rami marrying Lalji.

-------I thought abt this plot of Lalji kidnapping Rami's kid. But there were two problems. If Rami gives birth to Lalji's child, he wud rather keep it alive and bargain his life against it from Mukhi.

Lalji wud benefit by keeping the child alive and naming and proclaiming it to b his child.


The later part of the plot is only a probability if Lalji actually went ahead and did so, put mishri as ransom. But Mukhi didn't give in. Lalji tried to kill the kid, but was miraculously saved by Mukhi. Lalji absconded for four years. Mukhi took Mishri in his custody.

Rami being unaware of the proceedings had already married Kailash under panchayat pressure.

So thus Mukhi cud hide the fact from world for Mishri's safety.

------As mentioned above, the only reason Lalji wud kill his daughter is to use her as leverage. I don't think Mukhis has "avowed" never to marry. He was jst too busy and somehow felt responsible for both Mishri and Rami's situation. He jst dedicated his life to Amboli village.
