A girl with spine and a guy with heart

The episodes in this week established some interesting things. Mukhi learnt to see Aru as someone who has self respect and is ready to work hard. And Aru learnt that the guy had a heart of gold.

It is often shown that Indian Television heroines keep on preaching about self-respect all the time but their behavior does not show an ounce of it but Aru does not talk about it but has a real spine. I am glad to see this heroine.

And unlike the current trend, Mukhi is not your usual heartless monster who is supposed to have a heart which cares only for his family member or his love ( after insulting her enough of course)

Great post!

I love Aru's attitude, her never give up nature. And Mukhi is love! The way he hints the wrongs and the rights..

Now the story will shift to Mukhi's village. I am looking forward to it.

So true. Aru is, in true sense of the word, a heroine. She is not some girl-next-door type female lead who'll give lectures on self-respect and family and what not only to end up being emotionally (and sometimes physically) manhandled by the male lead. She works, takes care of her family and is loyal both personally and professionally.

Mukhi's character is the much needed male lead on hindi telly series. Like you said, unlike the horde of other MLs who are - rich, arrogant and manhandles the female lead, Mukhi is a stark contrast to that. He respects people (not just the elders in his or others family) but everyone - despite of age or class gap. He is strong but calm. He doesn't get riled up easily. His thoughts are modern and the best thing I love about the character is the small life lessons he keeps giving with a smile. He doesn't force his views on anyone.

The thing that makes Mukhi a class apart is that unlike other Male leads who are very young and very very successful (which is unbelievable), Mukhi is exactly what a normal 40 year old is. His character is well rounded, rich, mature and totally believable for that age. Not reaching from zero to infinity within a few years and becoming the businessman of the year while still in their 20s. 😲.
Aru on the other hand is actually shown struggling with her daily hand to mouth life. She manages it all very cheerfully and juggles so many roles with a smile. She is totally endearing and we all are routing for her to come out of the mess that her family is in. The scene with her turning away from Mukhi, not wanting to be seen crying/weak... that is the perfect snapshot of her character 👏- proud, selfless, loyal, hard working, soft hearted. We just feel like reaching out and giving her a big hug.

Take a bow Ejaz and Niyati, you've taken Mukhi and Aru right into our hearts and we're loving every bit.

Thank u for this post

Seriously mukhi and aru. Are the change which TV needed badly.

Specially mukhi has change the perspective of the so called telly hero
With a body full of muscles rich shot uterly rude and a literally women hated maniac .Mukhi is just so human thank god and pH for that..and eijaz god this man has just given life to the character..

Aru i cannot thank ph for enough to give a charater who is transperant both in terms of action and words a human not a typical devi type..self sacrifising goat..whose action and words never go same

Both aru and mukhi has flaws that to real flaws not so called a bad past . bad childhood majboori and all but flaws that are natural..

Both eijaz and niyati a big shout and claps for both 👏

I love the way he calls her "gaurani"... and I am sure he will call her the same after marriage.

Yes, it is a saying that "Sher ko dekhna hai to jungle me dekho"

Even though he is a man of every season, Mukhi is like a fish out of water in city. It will be fun to watch him in his domain.

Good post.
I really hope they don't ruin these two characters. Characters of ArMu are like breath of fresh air.
