What is greater? Love or Friendship?

'I hate Ronit' - says Pooja. Ronit overhears this and is very sad. Mandy feels that someone is outside the room listening to Pooja and her. She goes out to check and finds no one. Ronit goes away from there. He is sad, almost in tears. He runs away in the hospital corridor, bangs with a nurse and falls down. He gets up again, and bangs again with Akash. Apna Akash was coming with ekdum josh aur chehre par haasi liye huey aur Ronit bhai ne takkar maar di. Ronit hugs Akash and tells him that 'He loves Pooja'. Akash ka toh ekdum dil hi toot gaya hoga. He controls his emotions though and listens to Ronit. Ronit tells him that he loves Pooja very much but is very sad to hear that she hates him. Ronit says that he loves her so much that if she can't be his, he would prefer to die. Akash consoles him and tell him not to think like that. Ronit asks Akash for help. Tragedy - dilemma - for Akash. He tells Akash that if he is his true friend, he will help him get Pooja. He requests Akash to help him achieve his love and he would tell Pooja about how much Ronit loves her. Ronit asks Akash to give him a promise that he would help him and Pooja unite. With the necklace he got for Pooja still in his hands, Akash hugs Ronit and promises Ronit. Akash is in tears as well.

Back at Akash's home, her mom prays to god and asks Bhagwan to help his son to be successful in his love. She thinks that till date, Akash has lost more than he has got and she would be really happy if he gets Pooja, the one whom he loves. Akash comes in then. His mom asks him about what happened - Akash tells that Pooja accepted the necklace, but she said that she needs time to think since this has come as a shock to her. Akash's mom is fine with it and tells Akash that she thinks Pooja will say yes to him eventually and asks him to cheer up and enjoy. Akash feels bad to have lied to his mom.

It is Pooja's and Mandy's birthday. KS, Reema and Mandy are the first visitors. KS gets a bouquet and some gift for Mandy. Milind comes in too with a bouquet of orchids. Pooja asks for Akash. Reema tries to call Ronit, but he doesn't pick up. Later, Sudhaben, Grandpa, Pooja's younger brother (finally he's made an entry - after so many episodes - chalo koi baat nahin, bahen ki yaad toh aayi ;)) and Mandy's mom come in. Pooja asks for Rasikbhai - Sudhaben replies that he was not feeling well and hence he has not come. Well, we are surprised too with his absence. Maybe, because he is busy shooting something else. I hope they don't change him as well. Sudhaben Pooja ji aarti utarti hai aur usey aashirwaad deti hai. Pooja asks about the idol of Lord Ganesh - Sudhaben replies that it is Akash who's got this for Pooja from his house temple and she continues saying that Akash has done so much for her. Mandy gets a cake and asks Pooja to cut it. Pooja asks her to wait for Akash.

At Ronit's home, he is very sad and cannot stop thinking about Pooja. Maya Gujral comes in looking for him when Rosie says he is not at home. Mrs. Gujral sees Pooja's photos with Ronit all over a wall and is very angry. She pulls the photos and tears them all. Annie comes in at that moment. FYI, she has listened to us all and changed her hairstyle. She tells Maya not to get excited and is surprised to see her helpless like this. Annie suggests that it is high time she thought and took some decisions soon. Going by the looks of Maya, it sees she will take one soon, maybe in the next episode.

Ronit and Akash meet up at on the rocks besides a sea. The camera angle at which there talks are shot are good - especially the one where the camera is almost in level with the water and Akash and Ronit are shown from a perspective view. Anyways, Ronit pours his heart out and tells Akash that he has changed. He has, for the first time realised that what true love is. He can see happiness and light everywhere in love and feels very sad to learn that the person whom he loves more than anything in this world - hates him. He cannot bear that and think he cannot live if Pooja disagrees and ignores him. Akash tells him that he understands that (c'mon, we know what he must be passing thru'). Akash tells him that he will make sure that Pooja gets to know the new Ronit now. He will go and tell Pooja that Ronit has changed for real and how much he loves him. He asks him to come to the hospital as it is Pooja's birthday. Ronit refuses saying he does not want to spoil Pooja's mood on her birthday and asks Akash to go instead.

At the hospital, more visitors in the form of the St. Martin's principal, Miss Resham and some students pour in. Principal wishes Pooja and asks her to cut the cake. Pooja and Mandy do so and everyone sings 'Happy Birthday' for them. Akash comes in there as well. Pooja tells him that she knows how much he's done for her and offers her the largest piece of cake. Akash tells that one more person deserves this large piece and that is Ronit. Pooja is shocked to listen this.

Ab kya hoga? Will Ronit come in and talk to Pooja? Will Pooja ever listen anything about Ronit now? How will Akash make sure that Pooja starts liking Ronit again? A tragedy of events today. Akash shows that he has a golden heart. He sacrifices his love for his friendship. How much he values his friendship? Would someone of you would have done the same thing? What is more important to you? Love or friendship. Let me know.

Ronit says NO to engagement with Annie

Unfortunately, today I missed some early few minutes. I'll write from where I saw the episode.

Rasikbhai and Sudhaben are talking to Milind's parents. They talk about the engagement of Poornima and Milind when Milind's parents says that why are they talking about engagement. Rasikbhai and Sudhaben are shocked to hear this, but the very next moment they are relieved when they come to know that they are talking about wedding. Milind's mom says that they think it would be a waste of money to organise an engagement and would want the wedding soon. Rasikbhai asks for some time since he has to arrange for some money and he's going out of town for his work. Milind's dad says that he can take his own time and the wedding can be arranged at his convenience. Rasikbhai and Sudhaben are happy and sab apna mooh mitha kartey hai. At times, I wonder whatever progress the society makes, parents of a girl always goes to the guy's place and talk about the wedding. They act so humble that at times, we feel they are asking for a favour more than anything else. But, I guess there has been a progress to this now. Unlike earlier, people have started understanding that both the guy and the girl are treated as equal and they mutually talk about all the important issues. Par, I guess ek pita hi samajh sakta hai beti ka vyah - Saw Rasikbhai, how happy he was when Milind's parents agreed.

Earlier in the episode, it seems that Annie has spoken quite some things to Pooja, the reason she has fainted in her college. Yes, she has started to come at St. Martin's again. KS comes in and calls Akash, Ronit and Reema and tells them about Pooja. Everyone rushes in to meet Pooja, while KS tells that Annie said something to Pooja and she fainted. Ronit is really angry and wants to talk to Annie about it. Akash offers Pooja to drop her home. Even, Ms. Resham asks Pooja to go home since she was not ekdum perfect. Ronit meets Annie and shouts at him. Lot of the colleagues from the college see the whole tamasha. Ronit warns Annie not to speak to Pooja. Annie tells him that she did it because she was upset how Ronit behaved with her. Ronit insults Annie in front of everyone. Annie asks him not to - to which Ronit says that she didn't care about Pooja's izzat when she taunted her and now she is worried about her. Ronit warns Annie and tells her that is she tells anything to Pooja anymore, he will not like it at all. Pooja listens to this. She has come out with Akash holding her and Reema and Mandy alongside her. Pooja is still upset and tells Akash to tell Ronit that there is no reason to fight with anyone for her. Annie feels too insulted and vows that she will have to take a different route to trouble Pooja and guess, who she is thinking about - Mandy. She leaves from there fuming.

Kushan is shown receiving a call in the morning still from his bed. The caller is a girl and is asking to meet Kushan. He denies saying he is not well and switches on his answer machine to listen to all message - they are all of girls wanting to meet Kushan and spend time together. Kushan wonders why so many girls are after him. He then hears a message from Annie. He reaches her place before Annie comes in. He then calls Annie and explains her the Mahabharata theory. He tells him that if someone known is attacking her, then she has to attack them as well. And now, since he is here, he will make sure that everything falls in place for Annie. Kushan and Annie join in for fight against Pooja.

The story is moving as lot of you guys have predicted. Kushan's looks has been changed, but he still looks the same. ;) Pooja saw one good part of Ronit when he was fighting with Annie over the problems Annie gave to Pooja. I guess she will see a couple of more good episodes wherein Ronit ka kuch accha bataya jaayega and then she will understand how much Ronit has done for her. Ab, Kushan aur Annie kya gool khilayenge? What do you think there plan will be? Ronit talks about destroying the foundation while Annie is happy that he thinks the same as she did. Will they put Mandy in trouble? If yes, then there is going to be a big trouble. Your views please.

Pooja is stubborn

Pooja still is not ready to accept what Ronit has done for her. Even after Mandy tells her that she has seen Ronit as well and he has changed, Pooja does want to talk about it. I guess she is being a bit more harsh. Anyways, Mandy leaves after talking to Pooja since she had to go for shopping with her mom. She and her mom go to a supposedly large mall even while Mandy is thinking that it must be quite expensive. Just after they enter the mall, a known voice asks the guard over there if he wants to earn some extra money.

Ronit talks to Akash that Pooja still thinks him wrong and does not want to talk to him. Akash tells him that he thinks he should talk to Pooja directly and tell her dil ki baat. Ronit calls Pooja but could not speak with her. Mr. Gujral wants to talk to Ronit. He tells Ronit that he understands that his mom had been a bit harsh when she fixed up his engagement with Annie even without asking him. Mrs. Gujral is sitting close by and listening to all this. Mr. Gujral says that whatever has happened has happened and asks him to forget about it. He tells him that he knows that Ronit and his mom don't even speak to each other properly. But he is there to talk to Ronit about Pooja. Ronit is happy and smiles. Mr. Gujral tells Ronit that if he does not want to get married to Annie, it's fine but at the same time, he cannot get married to Pooja. Ronit asks why and he tells that there might not be any problem with Pooja, but the problem is with her status. Ronit disagrees and tells his dad that he loves her so much and that Pyaar toh bus ho jaata hai - status nahin dekha jata. He continues saying that he really loves Pooja very much and would definitely want to get married to her. Mrs. Gujral comes in and tells Ronit that she is her mother and knows best for her child - Ronit asks her that why achanak woh maa honey ka adhikaar jata rahi hai - Ronit's dad shout at him and asks him to behave properly with his mom. Ronit goes away saying that he does not want to talk about this topic anymore. Maya Gujral tells him that he will one day realise when that middle class girl wont even value him for what he has done or what he will do.

Back at the mall, the unknown voice was Kushan. He bribes that guard there to spoil the happiness of Mandy and her mom. The guard comes in and asks for the shopping bags from Mandy's mom. Mandy is not there and is shopping at some other section of the mall. The guard asks for the bill of the things she has shopped and drops in a diamond necklace inside her bag. He then asks her for the bill (invoice for the American's - as in check and not as in money) of that necklace. Mandy's mom said that she hasn't bought that and does not know how that landed into her bag. The guard acts and says that she will have to come to the police station and accuses her of stealing. Kushan, the saviour (?) comes in and shows the guard the bill and claims the necklace - Mandy's mom tells him that she does not know how it came in her bag and Kushan acts as if he believes and leaves from there.

Pooja overhears Grandpa and Sudhaben talking about how Ronit had helped them with money without which it would have been very difficult to save Pooja. But as Pooja is now, she thinks all the wrong things. She calls Ronit and tells him thanks in a sarcastic tone and tells Ronit that she will return back all his money. She had called to tell him that just because he has given the money for her treatment does not mean she has bought her - aur woh kuch galat fahmi mein na rahey. Ronit is shocked and tries to explain that he doesn't even think about the money - but Pooja thinks otherwise and hangs up. This is real bad.

Poojaji, jaraa thandey dimag se kuch socho aur jisney apka bhala kiya uska accha bolo. I mean this is not even manners - someone who is instrumental in saving your life does not deserve like this. I guess someone should give Pooja a tight slap and make her realise that how Ronit is at the moment and how much he feels for her. Pooja - Don't ever do like this to anyone. Ronit is sad. Akash at his home is writing his diary when his mom asks about Pooja again. Akash says that he has not been able to talk to Pooja as yet. He knows he is lying but does not want to break his mom's heart. The doorbell rings and Ronit comes to his house. He tells Akash that Pooja is going on misunderstanding him and he is feeling bad about the whole thing. He fails to understand why she is not willing to learn that how much he loves her. Ronit says that he cannot stay with such feelings and feels miserable. Akash agrees that Ronit has changed for good and sees the love in his eyes. He promises Ronit - what - that he will make sure that Pooja will be hers. No matter what he had to do for that, he promises him. And you know what, who is at the door when Akash tells this - Apni Pooji. Pooja listens to this and has thoda-sa-paani in her eyes.

God knows what she is thinking - but we can hope that this time she is not misunderstanding anything. Well, it would be good if Pooja understands Ronit fast. This will not give any chance to Kushan and Annie as well and all will be well. But we know what will happen to the serial then. So, guess these are the twists. Anyways, what is Pooja thinking now? Any guesses.

Mandy gives Pooja a piece of her mind

Pooja is surprised to see Rasikbhai back. Rasikbhai is happy seeing Pooja. Sudhaben tells him that Akash and Ronit have been invited for dinner tonight. Rasikbhai is glad to know that and praises both of them for the efforts they put in when Pooja was not well. Mandy is upset about what has happened between Pooja and her. She thinks that Pooja should call her to say sorry and why does she have to go everytime and tell sorry first to Pooja. Dosti mein choti-si darar. Actually, nahin. Aisa toh kabhi kabhi ho jata hai. Hai na?

Kushan calls up Mandy's place and wants to talk to her mom. Mandy picks up the phone and is surprised to hear Kushan on the other end. Kushan tells her that he wants to change his behaviour. He probably makes up a story and says that his father has expired and he has realised that all that he did earlier was not very correct. He wants to change and asks for support from Mandy. Mandy is not sure but she cannot say no somehow and accepts Kushan's invitation of going out to a restaurant to have a cup of coffee with him.

Sudhaben calls up Ronit on his cellphone and asks him about the time they are coming home for dinner. Ronit is surprised as he does not know anything about this. He passes the phone to Akash and he speaks with Sudhaben. She asks him 'When are you both coming home for dinner'? Akash refuses and says that today they have some urgent work and cannot come. Akash's mom hears this and asks Akash to go - Akash agrees and tells Sudhaben that he and Ronit will soon be there. They both go to Pooja's house. Ronit gives a bouquet to Poornima and congratulates her. Pooja and Ronit aankh bhi tikh se nahin mila rahey aur poorey watawaran bhaari lag raha hai. Sudhaben asks them to have food and then they can relax and talk.

At the restaurant, Kushan thanks Mandy and says that he is happy that she trusted him. Mandy refuses and says that it'll take time for her to change her views about him and trust him because of his past. Kushan plays dirty and acts as if he really wants to change and has already changed somewhat. Sample this, he orders cow's milk at the restuarant. He eventually succeeds in making Mandy believe him with his stupid stories. Aur apni Mandy kaisi hai aap sab jaantey hai - she is so bholi usey toh koi bhi kuch bhi keh sakta hai aur woh maan leti hai. BTW, the less said about Kushan's eyes, the better.

At Pooja's home, Akash, Ronit and Rasikbhai sit for dinner. Again, no one is speaking. Sudhaben asks them if they didn't like the food - Akash says it is good while Ronit says it is not good, it is very good. And he is having Gujarati Thali for the first time. Rasikbhai thanks both of them again and tells them that because of them he has started to trust humanity again. Touching. He asks Pooja and Poornima to join in. Pooja is almost forced to sit besides Ronit to have food. After having dinner, Akash and Ronit leave from there. On her parents say, Pooja goes to drop Akash and Ronit. Ronit moves ahead and says that he will get the car. Pooja asks Akash about his mom to which he replies 'She is fine'. Pooja asks Akash to say something - Akash says 'Pooja has already told him so much that he has nothing to say now'. He tells Pooja that she may be right in what she said, but even he was right in what he told. Akash tells her that he has always wished good for her. Pooja apologises saying that she might have over reacted. She tells Akash that Ronit has done so much bad for her. Akash tells her that she is talking about the earlier Ronit. After Pooja's accident, Ronit has changed completely and he has been a witness to it. Akash tells her that he loves her very much. Surprisingly, not much reactions on Pooja's face. Pooja asks Akash if they can be friends again and offers her hand. Akash shakes hand with her and accepts the friendship again. Ronit is sitting in his car and sees this. He smiles and seems to be happy that Akash and Pooja have patched up. Akash and Ronit leave from there.

Kushan comes to drop Mandy as she is late for her home. While Pooja is standing down thinking that she has got one of her friends back and now she wants to go to Mandy and talk with her, she sees a car coming in. Mandy comes out of the car and like a girl in love, rests her hands on the open window of the car and talks to Kushan. Pooja sees Mandy and wonders where she had been all this time and who has come to drop her at this moment. Kushan has probably seen Pooja and acts in front of her. Asks Mandy to come closer giving a look to someone who is watching far away as if he is kissing someone. Pooja sees this and wonders who has come with Mandy. Episode ends.

Kushan is successful in achieving what he wanted to. Mandy is shown in poor form and a girl who is so bholi that almost anyone can make a fool out of her. Akash has patched with Pooja but Pooja is still not talking to Ronit. I guess she will start talking soon. The worse part next week will be the problems between Pooja and Mandy. It seems the writers of YMLH have run out of ideas and are resorting to almost what happens in every other serial. Hope they bring some originality as earlier and make us enjoy watching this serial. Else, this will become like every other serial coming on air. What do you guys have to say?

Indian Weddings and Broken Hand

First here are some comments: Ronit was really good in the acting
department today. Ekta Kapoor, if you need a lead actor for your next
K-creation, here is an actor you should keep out for...LOL. My
prediction is (going by the dialogue and happens in the show) that if
Ronit and Pooja are bound to get married sometime soon (which is
where the show seems to be heading with all the family drama,
marriage and love talk by Ronit) then Ronit will surely leave his
house and marry Pooja in a K3G style (you know, where SRK comes to
Kajal's house and marries her own the spot) and the story will go on
the 'Saathiya' path where Ronit and Pooja will still go to college
(because the main story, hopefully, is still about Pooja's dream)
while trying to make ends meet in their married life. Just a
prediction.

Here is the update, not as great as Nirav's, but has all the details:

The episode starts with Sudha, Rasik, Pooja arriving at the 'Gujral
villa' From a scene similar to the film 'Taal' the security guard
outside the house assumes Rasik is there to apply for the position of
a security guard. After clearing up matters, he lets the three go
inside. Ronit meanwhile finishes signing the papers (looking very
good too in a red shirt and black jacket- looks like the directors
finally got him new clothes to wear) and in asked to sign a few more
papers, but says no more business for today. He is elated at going home and seeing Pooja and her family.

Back at the villa (lol), Rasik asks about the children and Maya tells
them Ronit had some business and Reema is away at Delhi for a
wedding. Inder asks Rasik what he does for a living. He tells Maya
and him that he has a clothing shop. Inder says 'Oh you're in the
garment business'. Inder gets a call and excuses himself from there.
Rasik gets up, and offers the engagement/wedding card to Maya. She
first just stares at him and asks him what that is. He says it's an
invitation. Maya is 'oh' and gets up to get her checkbook. She asks
Rasik how much he wants and he gets confused and says we are just
inviting you, and we expect nothing else. Maya says its a wedding, so
you are most likely expecting a gift. Pooja intervenes and tells Maya
to be quiet and says she is very poor etc. Pooja tells Maya she wish
she could give her a little humanity because she has none. Sudha,
Rasik, Pooja leave from there. At the same time, an overly-excited
Ronit arrives, with a bunch of gifts in his hands, and sees the three come out. He asks Rasik why he's leaving without
having seeing him and says we will all have lunch together. Rasik
says his stomach is full already (from Maya's words) Ronit wonders
what has happened and Pooja gives Ronit a face and says your mother
told us enough, so go ask her. They leave and Ronit looks depressed.

Maya complains to Inder about how rude Pooja's family was to her and
Inder tells her to not worry, and that they are gone. Ronit comes in
and says some words to Maya (great acting by Ronit here) about how
one is supposed to act in front of guests etc. He tells his dad that
he expected this from 'mom' but not him. Ronit continues by saying he
knows that 'in business that everyone lies' so he must have thought
it okay to lie to his son.

Milind comes to meet Poornima and the two share some cute moments. He
shows her the ring he brought for her engagement. Rasik, Sudha, Pooja
arrive at the same time with long faces. Poornima and Milind look
worried. Milind tries to cheer them up by showing the ring and also
asks Rasik to speak to his father reg the banquet hall and catering.
Rasik says he will do whatever he can and if he can't, then he hopes
they will forgive him. He goes into his room, and closes the door
right in front of Pooja. Mandy calls Pooja (probably to clear their
misunderstandings) but Pooja says she can't talk now and hangs up.
Mandy gets a bit upset, thinking Pooja is still upset about their fight. Mandy is like fine and thinks that she has other friends (oh no,
Kushan) that she can talk to.

Maya is with Annie, who congratulates her on her behavior with the
Methas. She says the 'chawl' people may not have enough in terms of
money, but their 'izzat' is everything to them, which Maya put down
when they came to their house. Maya says that is all great and dandy,
but she is worried about Ronit- what if Ronit leaves the house. Annie
consoles her, saying Ronit would have left the day he rejected the
engagement, but did not. However, Annie adds that she is afraid Ronit
may bow down to Pooja and her family.

Pooja opens the door and assumes it is Milind, but when she looks up,
it is Ronit. She tries to close the door, but Ronit pushes it opened
and says 'I cannot undo what happened, but I can try to make up for
it' Pooja says your mother said enough and tries to close the door
again, but Ronit opens it again. He goes up to Rasik and drops down
at his feet. He apologizes for his mother and father's actions etc.
Rasik pulls Ronit up, and asks him that he cannot do anything. Rasik
continues saying they are 'simple people' and that if anyone else
sees Ronit here, it could start rumors and goes back into his room.
Ronit then tells Pooja 'I don't know about anyone else, but I promise
that my parents will come here themselves and ask your parents for
forgiveness in 24 hours. If this does not happen, you will never see my face
again' (!!!!) Pooja is really shocked at his words (probably the last
few ones) and the episode ends.


Final comments: Okay, Maya will never bow down to anyone, so we can
forget about her coming and asking for forgiveness. Now, here is the
interesting part- Ronit promises to never show his face to Pooja, but
Pooja cannot will realize that she loves Ronit and cannot live
without him (making Bikram Roy's prediction way back true) and she'll
admit her love etc. Now, where does this leave Akash? I have no clue,
maybe he will get depressed and drunk like Devdas or something (??)
or maybe his and Reema's love story will start. Let me know what you
all think. And Nirav, I hope your hand gets better buddy and have a great time at the weddings!
