Honestly, when i started this show, I had high expectations but it is not the same anymore. Also, they brought the marriage track way too soon. The focus from music is gone aswell. It is going to be about Nisha, Shaleen, Avanti, Raj,Sujoy vs the newly married couple. 15 minutes of plotting and 5 minutes for couple scenes.

The only thing that is keeping me glued is Rahul's character.That's about it because everything else that excited me is now nowhere to be seen. If Mala doesn't speaks the truth, Manvi is going to blame Rahul for everything which will be a drag but i love sad scenes so when Rahul will be by himself, all sad and crying, that is what i am looking for ward too.

Now that I look back to it, I think you were lucky you never watched that show. It came with so much promise and left us all completely baffled and frustrated. The show that began and the show that ended were like two completely different concepts. That's mainly how Ekta functions with her shows. Yes I remember Kasturi. Actually, this show is similar to many other Ekta shows, but Kaisa Yeh Pyaar Hai is closest because some scenes and story lines are almost copied from it directly.

I always knew the focus from music will be lost soon. Happened with the other shows as well. The thing that bothered me most was that the music angle was never taken seriously at all in the first place because there is absolutely no originality there. No original title song, not even an original background score. Which just goes to show how for granted the makers are taking this all.

Ekta has definitely done it again. And no doubt, will continue to do so 😆

If you'd have read it, you would have known my post wasn't dedicated to Kritika, KMH, or Karan's previous role at all. But I appreciate that you took the time to reply and present your opinion. And I read it all without skipping anything 😛

As I said, I am not familiar with KMH, but having heard of it and watching a VM, I could see why the lead pair was so loved. But I agree with you on Rahul being too annoyingly good. Being a famous rockstar, you'd expect at least a bit of a rebellious streak in him, something even remotely close to being naughty. And we get a little miss goody two shoes instead. Though I like that they have taken a different route than the typical norm of famous people always being bad boys, I don't like the fact that Rahul is being portrayed as a pushover. Manvi is continuously dumping shit on him and he taken it without any complaint. He needs to stand up for himself and think about what he wants for a change. Everybody else is controlling his life. He needs to buckle up and take some control back.

I might just give it a try seeing your enthusiasm for it 😆 . I just hope the misunderstanding tracks there are not as dragged as in this show, otherwise I won't be able to take it.

I never said Karan isn't giving it his best shot. Read what I wrote again. I said that he doesn't seem to be as involved in the romantic scenes as he should be. He should be Rahul at that time. completely, but it seems as if he's holding himself back from completely feeling like a love struck Rahul. I am unfamiliar with both Karan and Sanvi's acting. For me, they are both newbies as I am watching them for the first time so I can't be partial towards one or the other. I'm watching this show with an open mind and just going with the flow of things. Yes somewhere Sanvi is holding herself back too, but I don't think she's that bad an actress. They both each have their flaws and plus points. No actor is perfect. Sanvi's main issue is her weak dialogue delivery, otherwise she's pretty good with expressing her emotions onscreen. There is chemistry between the two, they look good together onscreen. Which is why it bothers me that even though there's some obvious spark between the two, that zing that could burn your screens is severely missing. And anyway, a good actor can make his/her chemistry work with any co-star. It is never limited to just one person/actor, no matter how memorable.

I became Ekta's victim after Kaisa yeh Pyaar hai. That was my first Indian show I watched. This show more looks like that except the marriage sequence. Even I am not a Karan fan nor a sanvi fan. Buy the intense is missing between the leads. Even that background music or songs which they are using for leads sucks. Ekta promoted show something and giving something. This is nothing new from her, I don't even know why I am complaining as i told I am a shameless victim.

Likewise. Kaisa Yeh Pyaar Hai basically wounded me the way it was basically flushed down the toilet 😆 . Agreed. The intensity is so obviously missing. What makes it worse that you can sense the chemistry brewing between the two but they are failing to portray it onscreen. Ekta has a knack for cheating her audience. She never delivers what she promises. She even misguides them through promos. Showing proper lip locks and then editing them in the episode. Cheap tactics to lure the audience in under false pretenses. If people think that the time slot is the issue behind not airing actually kissing scenes, then what about the promos? They air basically throughout the day which means at one point or the other, people have watched it. So why not show it in the episode to those who were desperately waiting for it? I couldn't care less about kissing scenes, but I'm against misguiding the audience so shamelessly!

yup I m feeling cheated too because its nothing like I expected... nothing new same old storyline and twists.. yeah Rahul is quite stupid in the serial and Manvi total brainless. Rahul is also very nice guy which is okay but this much niceless is too much, think for everyone's sake and all you get is hatred, it reminded me little bit of Anurag. Love story not even started n this much MUs, sudden marriage now god knows what will happen to the music concept, as we will going to have those same love hate marriage.

about KMH... according to me it was best serial of ekta, KYPH was also nice but Ekta ruined it after few months and same goes with other serials, kmh had a passionate story and they maintained the concept of music and love till the end. it runs 9 months and ended when leads got married. 5 years passed but no other love story after them impressed me like kmh.

well hv no words about Sanvi's acting because honest opinions get take as bashing by some people but truth is truth which everyone already knows. just wanna say one thing I gave up on her and no expectation of improvement. Karan is definitely giving his best but yeah he is restrict somewhere maybe coz leads don't share any friendship n chemistry off screen too because I feel two people really needs to be comfortable with each other for giving these kind of scenes.

PS. watching it just because of Karan, I m also one of the ekta victim and decided not to watch any of her serial anymore... if he ever leaves the show I will run away from this serial in rocket speed, then I will hv no reason to tolerate this nonsense 😆

Yes I noticed. But some things are completely copied from KYPH which makes it to the top of the list of where it's adapted from. Like Kartik and Shaleen's role. It is basically the same. And Mishty and Avanthi's entry scene. There are probably many other such examples. I just can't remember them all.

True. Rahul's goodness is like that of the bahus in Indian shows. Unrealistic and impractical. He acts like a doormat sometimes and has the patience of a saint when it comes to Manvi. He's a famous rockstar yet still his father controls his life. Oh yes. The music concept is already lost in 40 episodes. Which sucks. It's all going to be about kitchen politics and misunderstandings in their married life now.

I feel Sanvi has potential to improve. As I said earlier in a reply, I am unfamiliar with both Karan and Sanvi as actors and to me, they are both newbies. Sanvi definitely needs to work harder on her dialogue delivery. But I'll give credit where it's due. She's good with emotional scenes and expressions but the dialogue delivery just falls flat. It's so monotone, as if a robot is talking. She might improve with time, who knows. I didn't know they had issues off screen. But I don't think two actors need to be comfortable with each other or share a good rapport for it to reflect on their performance onscreen. It's called acting for a reason. I have heard of many such actors who don't share even a slightly cordial relationship with each other in real life but are able to create magic onscreen with their passionate chemistry. That's professionalism which every actor needs to survive in this industry.

I agree the chemistry has a little lack of zing. But the chemistry is still really good. It feels more restrained and maybe that suits the story as well. But some of their intense scenes were quite passionate and even that kiss promo was hot. I actually found the dream scene where he comes to her door and kisses her very hot! Even the dream dance was quite steamy! They are defenitly capable of creating good chemistry. Just hope more opportunities present itself in the script in future, and no matter what issues they have between them, they do justice to those scenes. It does help if you have a good rapport off screen I guess. Even I have seen VM's of Kiteni Mohobat Hain and the chemistry in that is excellent. I also followed Kritika's show Reporters and loved her chemistry with Rajeev which was really good! So it proves you can create great chemistry with numerous co stars not just one. But sometimes some are better than others!

I do like the show very much and still invested in it. But even I expected "More". WHAT that more is even I don't know how to explain. But all I know is I expected more than what I have got to date! So it's a bit disappointing. The love story just needs to hit the spot more! Some of the scenes and build up was. really good. Like the hits and misses were good. The Intense scenes between the leads were good. The self confession was good. But somewhere after that with this Shaadi business it all got lost. I want it found again. How I wish they had worked together a lot longer before any marriage happened. It would have been a lot better. But let's see how they handle it from this point! But I agree. I am also a bit let down!

You're right. It's probably coming off a bit restrained because the love and passion is all from Rahul's side only at the moment. Manvi isn't reciprocating right now since she hates him. That could definitely be the reason. And I agree again, the dream scenes are far more passionate, especially that doorstep kiss. Definitely, a good actor can share a great chemistry with anyone. It might not be at par with others, but it's still there.

The marriage track has been introduced way too soon. It's going to be so saas bahu type now.

Something is definitely missing and it's not good for the show it it wants to survive. All I know is that because of that, I won't be up in knots if I miss out on a few episodes or quit watching the show altogether. That's how involved I am with it even though I like some elements.

This is the first time I'm following Karan's show so it's all quite new to me. I like him so far, but the show needs more than one actor to work. If there isn't a good story to back it up, there's no point in all the efforts the actors are making.

I knew what I was getting myself into when I started watching this show, yet still here I am 😆 . I guess we never learn. I don't mind a revenge story. That's actually a brilliant concept to work with if handled properly. But this show isn't about revenge, all they are giving us is one misunderstanding after another.

Yeah well some people never change. Too bad for us.
