Okay, I am liking the show so far, though I am pretty much on the verge of pulling my hair out because of the pace.😕
Too slow, I agreed. And now the fast forwarding...maybe to have the face off today?The leads haven't even met yet! Still, I hope the inevitable happens in today's episode.😊The only thing I have a problem with is that I am not able to identify with the heroine so far. Maanvi, the character, is too damn self-righteous. She thinks way too high of herself and her talent, and feels she's always right. 🥱 Typical Ekta heroine. 😆Even her dad is way too shrieky sometimes and makes you want to root for Rahul's dad😆Music teachers are like that. My mom also learnt music and the gentleman would burst into a song at the drop of the hat, forgetting where he was. Even on the railway platform, for instance! And way detached from reality...I understand the core conflict being presented b/w art and commercialism, b/w staying true to one's artistic ideals and pandering to the masses, b/w "high" art and "low" art. I am a person who generally feels that art musn't be subsumed to outside considerations, but Maanvi and her dad's attitude is so irritating that I am actually rooting for Rahul's dad now🥱 Not that I like him, but he seems to be the saner one of the two.😆Are kis baat ka attitude? are you so way detached from reality that Daal ka bhav nahi maloom? at least fish ka to maloom hona chahiye na?Rahul's dad is another extreme. He wouldnt mind Rahul quit living the ethical way if it suits his business interests. His only weak point is his son! Maybe he may not turn out to be his biological son in future...I am just putting a likely future scenario.And b/w Rahul and Maanvi, need I even say whom I prefer😳 He's perfect in every way- a gentleman who respects women, is talented, and has a huge heart.So far...thats what projected. But he doesnt have the guts to revolt against his father.Another case in point- what Maanvi's friend Roopa did was utterly stupid. How dare she blame Rahul for the mess? He didn't know about her engagement, but she did. She is the one who went to attend an audition on the eve of her engagement.😡 She is an adult who knew the possible repercussions of her actions- she made a choice, she has to deal with the fallout. That, my friend, is what being an adult is all about. 🤔😡Roopa is utterly foolish. If you appear in an exam and dont clear it, would you blame the paper setter? thats to be done at the Prep school level...humne to achha padhai kiya tha, magar paper itna tough set kiya ki hum fail ho gaye!And her parents? swallowed the Hong Kong trip story hook, line and sinker? Bewakoof Khandaan!Waiting for the story to unfold, and their first meeting today (fingers crossed!) I am waiting to see how Maanvi's prejudices, which so far makes her a female Arnav Singh Raizada/ Asad Ahmad Khan, are dealt with by a gentle and compassionate hero. Yayy for the role reversal⭐️It does seem like Maanvi becomes a chorus singer, judging from the famous promo of the show.😳Fingers crossed for future! And what happened to Sujoy? when will he get exposed?One thing to be fixed ASAP- A BGM for the couple, pleej. They can really get over the Kal Ho Na Haa BGM or the Jodha Akbar one🥱Yes, seriously. Get some better Background music please!
