(Scene continues from the previous episode)
Akshay goes over to Manjari and gently turns her towards him. Guilt & regret are etched on his face as he wipes off her tears and strokes her hair.
Pacifyingly, he says, "Control yourself... Whatever you did was absolutely the right thing to do. I know that everything cannot be divided into truth & lies... Your intentions were pure... & you acted as such so that Anushka's feelings don't get hurt. If the truth had been told, it might have hurt her even more."
Manjari shakes her head, denying this with a firm no. She tells him that the situation has indeed gotten worse. Akshay becomes silent, his eyes bowing down. Manjari reiterates & agrees to the fact that he had been right, that to prove a single lie wrong another lie had to be told.
"That SMS from Kabir's phone---', she says before Akshay cuts her off by telling her that whatever has happened, has happened & to forget it. Manjari is still depressed, his words no comfort to her. She wonders why she keeps giving other people sadness when all that she desires is to simply see them happy.
Akshay disagrees & touches her cheek gently, looking into her eyes. "You haven't given me any sorrow. Even what you did for Anushka, perhaps no one else would have." He walks away, musing some more. "You took the blame of the pregnancy on yourself, even left the job for her. Manjari, good people like you are very rare in this world."
To this, she goes over to him, questioningly. "Then why have I become so terrible in your eyes? Why have I gotten distanced from those who are my own, while bringing others closer?"
They both look at each other with love, fresh tears flowing down her face, he determined to comfort her again. She touches his hand as she asks him why her truth has become a lie to him, along with her real lies; why he has gone away from her. He holds her in his arms as she weeps..
(Ranbir's office)
Mallika walks purposefully into the office, mad joy in her eyes. She greets her friend who is angry for being called into office early in the morning. Mallike explains that the reason for this is that Ranbir is an early-comer, who is going to enter the office & see that numerous people are waiting to meet Akshay when he himself isn't present. They both are overjoyed at this thought, about to commence with their plan.
Just then, a girl with flashy shoes & fashionable clothes walks into the office. She grabs a file someone drops, to which the villainesses wonder who she is upon seeing her. The 3 girls exchange hellos, the girl confirming that she is there to meet Akshay. Turns out that she is the interior designer (ID). The villainesses mislead her into believing that Akshay is an early morning person and tell her to wait in his cabin.
(Back at the house)
Waves crash on the shore on a bright sunny day as Akshay & Manjari slowly wake up. They had fallen asleep on the couch with Manjari's head resting on Akshay's shoulder. He opens his eyes to see a peaceful Manjari and gently tries to lay her there when she gets up with a jolt, surprised. She attempts to apologise but Akshay stops her to which she says that she can thank him afterall, since he had said something nice referring to her after all these days. Akshay is not as accomodating as he was the previous night, telling her slightly brusquely that it would be better if the moments of last night were left there. He leaves as he is getting late for office.
(At the office)
Mallika & her side-kick stand near the reception with celebratory looks waiting for Ranbir to show up so that they can witness Akshay's humiliation. Just then, Ranbir walks in confused as to why so many people are there. The situation is explained to him & he is both baffled and angry, baffled that Akshay had made so many appointments back-to-back and that for a very little time, angry that he is showing irresponsibility. Mallika makes an attempt at fueling the fire by mentioning Manjari but Ranbir tells her to mind her own business & act like the RJ she is.
Akshay walks in at that moment with a pleasant smile & says good morning but all eyes are on him as he gets targeted by Ranbir's rapid-fire inquiries. Ranbir insists that one's professional & personal life should be kept separate to which Akshay is still bewildered, saying that he just now came from a meeting, so how is it possible that he could have had all these people to meet. Some people then start to admit that the meeting times had been unexpectedly changed. The situation resolves without further disagreement.
Akshay goes to his office & sees the new girl standing on a chair, moving some frames about on the wall. He surprises her with his entry & question as to who she is, where she loses her balance on her high heels, falling down. Akshay just barely manages to catch her. They look at each other for a moment before breaking away awkwardly.
After a moment of silence, both identify each other simultaneously & laugh it off. She tries to justify her touching his things by saying that it's in her nature as she is an interior designer. Akshay has no problems with this any further. They both exchange good comments & the ID unknowingly compliments the designer of the room but Akshay brushes this off. He seems to think that their characters are similar & is impressed with her. They head out together while a spying Mallika & GC watch them, beaming.
(At Anushka's house)
Anushka tries to call Kabir who is not answering the phone. Exasperated, she storms out of her room searching for Manjari who hurriedly hides Kabir's phone. Anushka shows her distress but Manjari changes the subject & leaves quickly.
(Akshay's cafe)
Akshay & the ID go over the cafe plans. Meanwhile, Manjari tries to call him & fails due to the fact that the phone is away. She calls GC to find Akshay, who tells her that Akshay has left with a gorgeous girl. Manjari wants to know who the girl is & where they went but upon understanding the fact that the conversation is going nowhere with the irritating GC intent on insulting her, she hangs up the phone.
She reaches the cafe where the girl is flirting with Akshay & wiping off something on the lapel of his coat. He catches Manjari looking on at them, her eyes sad & worried; he, on the other hand, is amused.
Manjari rushes in & clears her throat expectingly. Akshay introduces them & tells the ID that she is the woman responsible for his cabin's decor & is his friend. To Manjari, he says that the girl with him is Raashi, his ID. Manjari is not interested, making it clear that what she wants is to talk to him. A moment of hilarity passes where both women try to fight over who gets the most time to speak with him.
Ultimately, Raashi gives in & walks towards the door but Akshay stops her, offering to walk her outside & end their discussion in the meantime. Manjari is livid, then melancholic as she watches the 2 laughingly converse.
Precap:
Ranbir angrily asks Mallika whether the pregnancy report with Manjari's name was fake. Mallika stutters that there has been a misunderstanding, that she found it out later but Ranbir will have none of it. Akshay stands alongside Manjari, taunting Mallika about how busy she has been, & asks her whether she thought no one would know that she altered his appointment timings to degrade him.
My notes:
I really wanted to add my own thoughts at every single point, especially my elation at the beginning scene. The reason why I didn't was that some of the scenes were so good that I didn't want to break the flow. I will be sure to add them next time if anyone wants me to.
The 1st scene is a MUST-WATCH for all who love Akshari. They were so incredible here that I truly felt for them, Manjari in her pained state & Akshay torn between logic & love. Such a beautiful thing love is.😊
Again, I HATE Mallika & GC. & now I have a new person on my hate list. Let me just say that it was EXTREMELY hard for me to write about how Raashi fawned over Akshay without prejudice or hatred. Extremely hard. Although the new turn is intriguing me, it seems like Akshay is going to use her at his convenience to make Manjari jealous! Tauba tauba! 😆
My sincere apologies to those who find too much reading tedious for making this such a lengthy update but neverthless, I hope that you all liked reading this as much as it was a pleasure for me to write it. 😊
P.S. IF I happen to write another WU, I promise that I will provide a shorter, more concise update along with the long one, for those who want to get to the point.
