Hello folks, 🤗
I had always known about this show ever since YHM went off-air but never paid much attention to it since I was busy in life otherwise. When I got the chance, I started watching during the Bunty-Bubbles wedding track. I loved the banter that RuSha had and I loved the cutie pie Saaransh (Vidhaan). The way that RuSha came together (the forced wedding in jail) was poorly written but I let that slide and continued to focus only on their post-marriage life. After they returned home from Bunty-Bubbles wedding, RuShaNsh really started growing together as a family unit. For instance, when RuSha were working together to get Saaransh admitted in school, when Preesha had to be Rudra's voice during his interview, and then during the Holi episodes. The show was then paused due to the lockdown but it stopped at a place that kept me attached and wanting to come back for more when the show restarted. I wanted to witness how RuSha grew closer, how they began trusting each other, and then gradually fell in love. It didn't go exactly the way I had anticipated but nonetheless, the episodes post the lockdown were a treat to watch. RuSha grew together as companions and co-parents, and then Rudra fell in love (and simultaneously Preesha too). In my opinion, they fell in love waaayyy too quickly, but then again, I'm not the one writing the show. Abrar and Sargun had amazing chemistry together and their scenes during the Chat with Chetna interview, the boxing match, Onam, Pree's license getting cancelled, the party and the award function were magnificent! The misunderstanding track, although it showed unneccesary manhandling, had enough backstory and justification. Later, Rudra confessed and Preesha too had an outburst and both their emotions were addressed. Rudra was redeemed appropriately and both RuSha entered the honeymoon phase of their relationship. All of it, I could digest.
What kept me attached to this show was that at their core, Rudra and Preesha were still the same people I knew since the beginning. Even with the OTT drama, their emotions and feelings were being addressed and any misunderstandings were being properly resolved. For instance, their outburst in the rain after Rudra found out the truth from Rahul in the hospital. But this track has proven wrong my decision to stick with this show. Our beloved characters Preesha and Rudraksh (and the overall show itself) has been utterly ruined in this track by the CVs. It started with the horrific insult of medicine and mental health and dead Mahima's return, and now they've butchered the only saving grace of the show: RuSha. Preesha has been reduced to a doormat who only watches from the sidelines, and Rudra has become an infuriating husband/father who thinks of himself before his kid and spews venom on his wife that he claims to love so much. His redemption where he touched Pree's feet and asked for forgiveness in front of both families has now been rendered hollow and insincere. I cannot go through with this show anymore. I was very deeply attached to the parent show YHM, and when it went downhill, it felt like a personal loss for me to see so many great characters and such an endearing story go to waste. YHC is on the same path now and I have to quit the show for my own peace of mind. I guess this is another lesson for me to never get attached to an Ekta show.
I only joined India Forums a few months ago and I have loved having discussions with you guys in this forum, but I need to distance myself from YHC and purge myself of the nonsense the writers have fed us. I hope to see you guys again maybe in another forum discussing another show, but regardless of whether we speak again or not, please know that it has been a pleasure discussing RuSha, RuShaNsh, and YHC with you guys.
Love and stay blessed,
Aditii ❤️
