Hello folks, 🤗

I had always known about this show ever since YHM went off-air but never paid much attention to it since I was busy in life otherwise. When I got the chance, I started watching during the Bunty-Bubbles wedding track. I loved the banter that RuSha had and I loved the cutie pie Saaransh (Vidhaan). The way that RuSha came together (the forced wedding in jail) was poorly written but I let that slide and continued to focus only on their post-marriage life. After they returned home from Bunty-Bubbles wedding, RuShaNsh really started growing together as a family unit. For instance, when RuSha were working together to get Saaransh admitted in school, when Preesha had to be Rudra's voice during his interview, and then during the Holi episodes. The show was then paused due to the lockdown but it stopped at a place that kept me attached and wanting to come back for more when the show restarted. I wanted to witness how RuSha grew closer, how they began trusting each other, and then gradually fell in love. It didn't go exactly the way I had anticipated but nonetheless, the episodes post the lockdown were a treat to watch. RuSha grew together as companions and co-parents, and then Rudra fell in love (and simultaneously Preesha too). In my opinion, they fell in love waaayyy too quickly, but then again, I'm not the one writing the show. Abrar and Sargun had amazing chemistry together and their scenes during the Chat with Chetna interview, the boxing match, Onam, Pree's license getting cancelled, the party and the award function were magnificent! The misunderstanding track, although it showed unneccesary manhandling, had enough backstory and justification. Later, Rudra confessed and Preesha too had an outburst and both their emotions were addressed. Rudra was redeemed appropriately and both RuSha entered the honeymoon phase of their relationship. All of it, I could digest.

What kept me attached to this show was that at their core, Rudra and Preesha were still the same people I knew since the beginning. Even with the OTT drama, their emotions and feelings were being addressed and any misunderstandings were being properly resolved. For instance, their outburst in the rain after Rudra found out the truth from Rahul in the hospital. But this track has proven wrong my decision to stick with this show. Our beloved characters Preesha and Rudraksh (and the overall show itself) has been utterly ruined in this track by the CVs. It started with the horrific insult of medicine and mental health and dead Mahima's return, and now they've butchered the only saving grace of the show: RuSha. Preesha has been reduced to a doormat who only watches from the sidelines, and Rudra has become an infuriating husband/father who thinks of himself before his kid and spews venom on his wife that he claims to love so much. His redemption where he touched Pree's feet and asked for forgiveness in front of both families has now been rendered hollow and insincere. I cannot go through with this show anymore. I was very deeply attached to the parent show YHM, and when it went downhill, it felt like a personal loss for me to see so many great characters and such an endearing story go to waste. YHC is on the same path now and I have to quit the show for my own peace of mind. I guess this is another lesson for me to never get attached to an Ekta show.

I only joined India Forums a few months ago and I have loved having discussions with you guys in this forum, but I need to distance myself from YHC and purge myself of the nonsense the writers have fed us. I hope to see you guys again maybe in another forum discussing another show, but regardless of whether we speak again or not, please know that it has been a pleasure discussing RuSha, RuShaNsh, and YHC with you guys.

Love and stay blessed,

Aditii ❤️

I would have to disagree in some areas but I completely respect your opinion. Do I think the meaning behind Rudra falling at her feet is lost? Honestly NO. It isn’t. Was Saransh always going to be above for him or at least till now? YES. And maybe rightfully so?? It’s his brothers last part that’s still alive through Saransh. His brother was the only person Rudra had. The only constant in his life. To lose him was like losing his everything but the moment he found out Saransh exists and Rudra saw his brother in Saransh it was like he had a part of his brother with him again. Is the way he is reacting with Preesha at the moment ok? Hell to the NO! It’s impulsive and crazy. But is this constant with the person Rudra is? To an extent YES. Rudraksh has always been impulsive which is one of the qualities I hate about him. He thinks only after he acts and we saw this multiple times even during the MU track. I can see a bit from both Rudra and Preesha’s side at the moment. Preesha is torn between both Rudra and Mahima. Her only wish is to find some kind of a truce and not separate any of them from Saransh. However, that plan clearly isn’t working out. It certainly is frustrating seeing her not do anything and just be emotional all the time but then again that’s just how FLs are unfortunately at times.

My concluding remarks- Is what Rudra doing right now correct? NO. Is this in align with his character? YES. He is an incredibly possessive and impulsive person with two people- Preesha and Saransh. Whether we like it or not Saransh is more important to him than Preesha. Should it be like that? No. They should be equal to him and by the end of this track he will learn they are which is why those type of dialogues from Rudra are put in not once but multiple times. They aren’t just being uttered for no reason. It will come back to him and come back to him BIG time.

Anyways it was good seeing you around this forum! Here’s hoping you find an ITV show where the characters haven’t been ruined time to time according to writers convenience which does seem incredibly rare these days from what I have seen. 😆

New here! Created this account today. 😂 But I agree with all that you said! Rudra was and is impulsive and like you said like it or not Saransh is the most important thing to him even more than Rudra himself. Rudra loves Preesha no doubt but when it comes between Saransh and Preesha it’s saransh for rudra. At least in that part he is being honest. I think it’s reasonable for him to feel that and I don’t think Rudra’s confession is invalid now. Think about it. When you are proposing to someone you say so many things like one popular one being I will make sure you never cry because of me. I know my husband promised this. Has he made me cry before? Definitely. Have I made him cry before? More than definitely. 🤣 That doesn’t change the fact that I still love my hubby very much. We say stuff in anger and with both of us being short tempered it’s more often than not. If anything I think YHC is showing things pretty realistic. Obviously the breaking of the glass bottle was not. But other than that I think the rest of the things coming out of Rudra’s mouth is reasonable. Preesha is his oxygen. Yes. But the promise he made to his dead brother is greater than even his own life. What would Rudra do living with Preesha as his oxygen if Saransh isn’t there with him? Right now all that he is doing is because he is being impulsive. He has little time. He knows he is going to lose his kid. He doesn’t even have time to think. Right now all that he is doing is because of the possessiveness he has over Saransh and nothing can come close to that!

Also, can I just say a lot of people are acting like they have never said or done stuff out of impulsiveness. Or maybe my family is abnormal and just filled with impulsive people. I know for a fact I have done stupid stuff all the time and even said some terrible things regretting it the next day. 😬

I see your guys' point and I'm glad that you're able to connect to the show still. But unfortunately, I can't. I hope the track gets better so loyal viewers like you can enjoy the show. Other than that, this will be the end of watching YHC for me. No hard feelings though. 😊

Totally agree! It’s expected when you sign up to watch an ITV show that characters will be misaligned here and there even though I still think both Rudra and Preesha are true their characters. I guess character progression will take some time for them but it will happen! Like you said. I wish she had given some time considering the amazing tracks we had gotten in Season 2 and the show still has so much to explore and offer. Anyways I respect her choice and opinion. 😊

Thank you for being kind and considerate guys. I know every show and every on-screen couple has ups and downs, and usually, I would follow through even during a track that I do not like as long as I connect to the story and it stimulates my mind in a positive way. But my problem here (and with most ITV shows in general) is that things are taken to the extreme just for drama without enough thought about its ramifications.

Mahima could have easily been given a reentry with a somewhat palatable explanation. Rudra can still be shown as impulsive and short-tempered without going to the extreme of him threatening Preesha with a glass bottle. Mahima and Saaransh can be shown bonding and coming close but only in due time. Preesha can be shown being conflicted and torn between relationships, but her emotional stance needs to be justified. Basically what I'm trying to say is that conflict and hard times can be shown in a TV series without bringing in extreme abuse and illogical sequences. Characters can (and should) have flaws without antagonizing them to the utmost end. All it requires is some forethought and perspective on the writers' part.

But instead, the writers made a mockery of psychiatry and psychology, made Rudraksh a borderline abusive husband, and Preesha a passive and almost brainless "doctor." They took everything to the extreme which makes it not only unrelatable, but also dangerous if it gets imprinted onto young, malleable minds. I say this because I used to be a teenager watching ITV shows in high school and many times equated the unhealthy tendencies of main leads and side characters with real romance and epitome of relationships. As I entered college and expanded my horizons with different shows and movies (mainly English), and educated myself on relationships, mental health, and overall human psychology/character (through psychology courses and seminars), I understood how wrong these ITV shows were.

Even when other shows that I used to follow started going downhill by taking things to the extreme for drama (e.g., YHM, YRKKH, YRHPK), I quit watching despite being deeply attached to them previously. When a show becomes a cause of frustation for me instead of a source of entertainment and/or intellectual stimulation, it means it's time for me to redirect my energies elsewhere. I think I just have different standards for my source(s) of entertainment, be it movies, TV shows, or web series.
