I’ve always thought male leads get more of a leeway than female leads by fans and it seems like this show is no different.

When Rudra was manhandling Preesha, I saw plenty of justification for it and even I tried to understand his mindset (who wouldn’t be aggressive against the murderer of their loved one?). We said this is how Rudra is, his love and hate are a part of him.

But Preesha? Just because she’s not realising her love, her character doesn’t get the same understanding? We are forgetting that despite her not questioning her feelings, she is still WITH Rudra. After what he did in the past 1-2 weeks, she could’ve left him but she doesn’t want to. In fact she said she will never leave him. She was hurt by his closeness with Keerti, made that aware to him too. She cried when he hurt himself. The last few episodes she did everything to save Rudra. Why are we forgetting that she has NOT seen the side of Yuvraj we all have? Has she seen what he says and does behind the scenes? Only we have. Even then she doesn’t give a crap about him but let’s not forget she was meant to marry him, yet ended up with Rudra. Yuvraj keeps coming to her and saying I still love you, I will always be there with you. There must be some guilt in her that she doesn’t feel the same hate as we do (we know so much more as an audience!) If everything happens now, how do we expect the show to have longevity?

Does Preesha become that frustrating only because she’s not questioning her feelings? Despite the fact she’s doing everything a girl in love would do. If Rudra doesn’t believe anything she says, what is she meant to do? First she was quiet but now she’s giving it back to him.

These are the things you have to expect in Ekta shows especially in the MU tracks because ultimately when the good times come, they are so worth it.

All I’m saying is: cut Preesha some slack. Just because she’s not realising her feelings, doesn’t make her a butchered character. She too has her flaws as Rudra does but we seem to find excuses for the latter more easily. It’s a love story, misunderstandings will be there and not everything can according to our wish. Just because we want her to realise her feelings now, doesn’t mean the writers have planned it that way.

This is so beautifully written and couldn’t agree more!

Also, coming to Yuvraj. I know he is an idiot. Why even Preesha knows what a jerk he is. But she doesn’t know about his murders yet. The worst thing according to her he has done is kill Rajeev ACCIDENTALLY and cause a misunderstanding between Rusha. This isn’t super bad to her because one the killing Rajeev thing was a mere accident and two she believes the misunderstanding can be solved. Yes, she should stop talking to Yuvraj but it’s not like she is trusting him or something. She is just telling him what a jerk he is and that she should have told on him. I do see why she saved Yuvraj though. Coming back to my childhood friend example, even if I thought my childhood friend had done those things (causing an accident or a misunderstanding between me and my spouse) I still wouldn’t want them to go to jail and would to an extent protect them. The story would obviously be different to me if I found out they MURDERED someone but here Preesha doesn’t know that. They have grown up together and so for that sake she is still putting up with him. Plus, he did help her in knowing about Kirti’s intentions.

Everything aside we are going a bit rough on Preesha. Her realizing her feelings will indeed come soon! Until then these MU are bound to happen. It will only lead to happy moments and Rusha’s relationships strengthening in the end. So let’s remain calm and enjoy the episodes that are yet to come :)

Look, no one's really asking for her love realization feelings at this point. We know that's gonna take some (make that a lot) of time and we are here to watch her character make that journey. We are more concerned about the other feelings, her motivations behind her actions, her POV, et al along those lines so that we better understand where she is coming from - why despite going on about 'main jhooth nahi bolti' she chose to lie? why despite knowing Yuvraj is ghatiya, matlabi, capable of murder she chose not to out him? why despite being a judge's daughter she saw no wrong in someone doing evidence tampering? Maybe she has valid reasons behind all these, but not having her POV during these moments makes it difficult to connect with her and it just feels like there has been no growth in character despite 160-odd episodes of storytelling.

Exactly, she’s not aware of how evil Yuvraj is. She thinks he’s good for nothing and always trying to interfere. She tells him to back off each time but he doesn’t listen.

Someone like Preesha wouldn’t push anyone under the bus like that. We know that it’s not in her character to do that. There’s so much more to come with RuSha, we really should enjoy what we are getting with them. The bigger romantic sequences between them will feel so satisfying after all this.

@bold: I’m sorry but that’s literally the biggest complaint people have here from Preesha. She’s not realising or having self-talks about her feelings for Rudraksh.

What other feelings? She’s very clear about what family means to her. She stands up for herself, she stands up for Rudra. She chose to lie to save Rudra because obviously he means something for her in order to make her lie. I’m not sure why it’s such a bad thing? She lied to save him.

Regarding Yuvraj, again I’m reiterating: she does not know what Yuvraj has done unlike we do. The audience knows far more than what Preesha does. He’s her childhood friend so she probably wants to give him the benefit of doubt. Has she not repeatedly told him to butt out? Not once but so many times but he comes at the wrong time. Has she ever called Yuvraj intentionally? It’s not like she wants him to come and for Rudra to misunderstand. Yuvraj appears out of nowhere, what is she meant to do?

you know yuvraj gave video recording to ahana ..and preesha knows this ..and still she is trusting him and remember the party night he entered into her room etc..most importantly she was ready to be hanged so that yuvraj's job is secured which is totally illogical n unjustified she didnt think even about saraansh for once(how ever she realised after a while) but still its not justified as per story line..and last but not the least ..the way she prescribed medicine during neerja n baby track was the point to be mentioned like red one ,green one ..i mean a name would have been mention atleast to make sense...

no body wants preesha to accept her feeling specially after this over possessive rudra scenerio..we all wanted her to take time...

by the way nice post 😊

Well, isn't that the norm? The male lead is seldom, if never completely in the wrong. My thinking is that given the amount of crap Rudra has pulled owing to his misunderstanding, the same leeway should be given to Preesha. Yuvraj is a jerk and a vile murderer but the extent of his depravity is not known to her. Yes, she should figure it out but considering all the shit she is going through, it's no wonder that she hasn't.

It was the same for the parent show - the male lead was given ample chances to be the hero, but the female lead was reduced to being "mahan" and called names for it, at least till the time I watched it. Don't know what happened after a certain leap. And it mostly happens on all shows. I just hope all the realizations happen sooner rather than later because the truth about Yuvraj is not going to be revealed soon.

Thank you for putting some light on pree POV...feed up of continuous backslash her character is getting ...the writers are portraying her character in that way ...now coming to lying and saving yuvraj ...cant all remember what yuvraj said ..if she is going to tell about him to police , he will back out and say preesha is lying and taking his name for saving her husband ..then again he would bribe the watchman to say lie... already she was hit with mental health clinic pactka ...

lets wait for the episode ...i m sure she will say to rudra that yuvi had threatened her for revealing his name to police
