As long as she continues giving practical responses to Rudra (like today's episode), will cut her some slack, even if, for the sake of extra melodrama, she also has to give up her brain at times when it comes to Yuvraj.

When Rudra was manhandling Preesha, I saw plenty of justification for it and even I tried to understand his mindset (who wouldn’t be aggressive against the murderer of their loved one?). We said this is how Rudra is, his love and hate are a part of him.

But Preesha? Just because she’s not realising her love, her character doesn’t get the same understanding? We are forgetting that despite her not questioning her feelings, she is still WITH Rudra. After what he did in the past 1-2 weeks, she could’ve left him but she doesn’t want to. In fact she said she will never leave him. She was hurt by his closeness with Keerti, made that aware to him too. She cried when he hurt himself. The last few episodes she did everything to save Rudra. Why are we forgetting that she has NOT seen the side of Yuvraj we all have? Has she seen what he says and does behind the scenes? Only we have. Even then she doesn’t give a crap about him but let’s not forget she was meant to marry him, yet ended up with Rudra. Yuvraj keeps coming to her and saying I still love you, I will always be there with you. There must be some guilt in her that she doesn’t feel the same hate as we do (we know so much more as an audience!) If everything happens now, how do we expect the show to have longevity?

Does Preesha become that frustrating only because she’s not questioning her feelings? Despite the fact she’s doing everything a girl in love would do. If Rudra doesn’t believe anything she says, what is she meant to do? First she was quiet but now she’s giving it back to him.

These are the things you have to expect in Ekta shows especially in the MU tracks because ultimately when the good times come, they are so worth it.

All I’m saying is: cut Preesha some slack. Just because she’s not realising her feelings, doesn’t make her a butchered character. She too has her flaws as Rudra does but we seem to find excuses for the latter more easily. It’s a love story, misunderstandings will be there and not everything can according to our wish. Just because we want her to realise her feelings now, doesn’t mean the writers have planned it that way.

I don’t think there is as much concerns over her realising her feels. It is going to be slow, everyone has accepted that fact. But preesha herself accused Yuvraj of murder, she said he is matlabi and ghatiya, he has tried to touch her in a way that made her uncomfortable...that is sexual harassment. Then he tried to malign her character and made it as though she is having affair with her in front of her family. That is defamation, pree knows this. The anger is over her letting him take advantage of her after admitting this aloud. Guilt or no guilt over his love....sexual harassment and everything she feels for him now..should mean that if nothing else she shouldn’t cover up for him and his actions. This is not about Rudra. This is about her.

She can take ages to realise her feelings,,,.but can she stop Yuvraj from hurting her at least now? And using her to harm the relationships that do matter to her before it is too late?

And for all the guilt that she feels for not marrying him,....does she ask herself if he feels guilty for taking her to gallows? Even when she thinks he is innocent...she was going to hang and lose Sarnash. At least ask if that was love that he felt for her when he let her take the blame and didn’t fight as hard. She was being distant with him in the end of that track, and that wasn’t just because of her marriage to Rudra. And if what Yuvraj felt wasn’t prob love....then at least don’t feel guilty now becuase of the crap he gives.

What other feelings? She’s very clear about what family means to her. She stands up for herself, she stands up for Rudra. She chose to lie to save Rudra because obviously he means something for her in order to make her lie. I’m not sure why it’s such a bad thing? She lied to save him.

Regarding Yuvraj, again I’m reiterating: she does not know what Yuvraj has done unlike we do. The audience knows far more than what Preesha does. He’s her childhood friend so she probably wants to give him the benefit of doubt. Has she not repeatedly told him to butt out? Not once but so many times but he comes at the wrong time. Has she ever called Yuvraj intentionally? It’s not like she wants him to come and for Rudra to misunderstand. Yuvraj appears out of nowhere, what is she meant to do?

@bold - Hmm, I think most of us here on IF have been complaining about lack of POV from her side, not so much realization of love. We know she's a dhakkan, and dhakkans taking time is character consistency, not character butchering. 😆

@red - haha, female characters do have feelings other than family and love. She went through a lot after the MU and there had been a distinct lack of POV/monologues for her, even though this is a track which is supposed to be focused on her character. The question is not why she lied to save Ru, it's why she chose not to tell the truth when that could have saved Ru as well. Her lie here only served to protect Yuvraj, and the question is why. She might not know Yuvraj is a psychopath (as the viewers do) but she does know he's pretty bad considering she thought him capable of murdering Kirti. But oh well, from the precap, looks like things might finally come to a head.

Also, Ru got his fair share of criticism when he pulled his antics after MU. Now, it's Pree's turn because she's clearly doing some shady stuff here. The love story only makes sense when both characters are properly developed. We love both of them, but might be critical when their actions don't make sense to us as viewers, which is how it should be. So, can we please not make this ML vs FL, and stay away from the toxicity that inevitably ensues?

I have caught few scenes here and there. Rudra is absolutely resentful and no matter how charming Abrar is I find his character repulsive. He has taken Preesha for granted. Judged her at every step and if he doesn't trust her, he could have given her the benefit of doubt and had a chat with her rather than hurling accusations at her. He never married her coz he loved her and he made it abundantly clear that he was with her only for Saransh's sake and to ensure she didn't steal his brother's money even though she never displayed any inclination to do so. I have visited this forum a couple of times and all I could see were posts justifying Rudra. Thank you for making this sensible post.
