Miss Naina Agarwal, The topper in school and college not just in studies but cultural activities too.Nobody had expected her to fail so miserbly in the basic household chores. But to our disappointment she failed.There must be reason behind it right. We often saw Taiji blaming Bela for not upbringing the girls the right way. I think her forecasts came true. "Sasural ja k Naak katayegi ye ladki" Sometimes Taiji used to make her do the household works but honestly I never felt that Naina was doing them sincerely. Chachaji wanted Preeti and Naina to excel in academics and never cared to mould them to become a perfect bahu in future. We have seen Bela doing everything herself and asking them to focus on studies, In fact Preeti used to do more of household help than Naina to escape studies.
Naina once baked cake with the help of Shefali, Made choupsey I think from a cookbook(correct me if I am wrong) and she did not cook it alone.
All she could cook well was halwa and chai as shown in the show. Just like today's generations kids know how to cook maggie and of course this does not make them a masterchef.
Its not that Naina is zero in doing them afterall she belonged to a middle class family of 90s, actually she was never interested in doing them.
Thats why when she got the freedom to escape them, she ran away. In addition she had exams exams ahead. Initially she wanted to do but slowly she realised that there was nobody to scold her for her carelessness hence she shed off the remnants of that guilt.
Sameer gets angry with her only when somebody else points out. It's not that he didnt know about the dirty dishes but he didnt care untill he faced the humiliation.
A couple always dream of their own house but for them their house is not from their hard earned money it's as if they won it in a lottery.
I am happy that Mamaji, Chacha-Chachi came for dinner. Now they will face the mirror and maybe realise what they have doing it.
My house my rules sounds musical but certain rules must always be adhered to.
our kids need to realise life is not a cake walk. Freedom comes with responsibility.
