Three weeks had passed and college had started. Everyone had joined college except Naina as she had gone to attend a wedding of her masi's daughter along with Rakesh and Arjun. And those days family weddings took around a week holiday for guests. So after attending wedding Naina joined college after two weeks of start of college. And she was very excited as finally they were getting rid of school uniform, got freedom from taiji's kich kich and she was missing her sister Preeti like anything and she was unable to understand why she dint contact her. When she reached college, it was already lunch time and she saw few girls tying their hair in two braids, heavily oiled, behenji type dresses and she started wondering that someone can be even more behenji than her and here she was in jeans top. After some moment her face felt in shock, because her Preeti and new friend Swati was in the group too. She waived at them called her names. Preeti responded and signed her to be quite. Naina went to meet Hostel's warden who was HoD of dept too. Then she got settled in her room, After few mins Swati and preeti came to their room and full Bharat Milap scene went between Naina Preeti. Preeti was crying after meeting her and when asked about her get up that she came with such modern dresses, what happened to her sense of dressing, preeti told that they are being ragged by seniors. These girls are behaving like their taiji.. they force them to wear such clothes and oil and braid their hair like it champoo. Such serious ragging is going on in their college. In fact boys are going through more rigorous punishments. they are being beaten and everytime when they cross the seniors they have to bring their heads and front of them and come in uniforms even in college. Preeti informed Naina that she also will have to follow the same dress code as herself was wearing. Naina was totally against this idea
she told why should we follow the orders of seniors we are not their slaves, we are not related to them we have come to this college by your own self so they are not responsible for anyone. Preeti told Nanna that if they are not going to follow their orders senior boys will be harassing them so it's better to listen such senior girls. Naina agreed reluctantly. She changed her dress accordingly and went to college as it was their workshop time. She was given all instructions to be followed. She got so scared that when someone tapped her shoulder and asked her name she dared not to look back and check and respond to that boy. Two months passed since then and she as instructed to first year kept her head low and dint look at anyone. However the girls off first year however less in no,gelled very well due to torture being meted out to them. Naina swati kamya preeti became very good friends till then. They were told to prepare for girls party to be kept within a month. Boys were also being tortured a lot. As she came late, many girls had started liking for someone or other but one person was there who was common favourite and when seniors in ragging asked their bf name from college( it was part of ragging and they had to say any boys name from their batch), every girl woyld say Sameer. Naina had heard a lot about him, his looks, his voice, his swag and how he is not scared of seniors and is very smart n hamdsome but somehow she never saw him dur to fear insuniated in her by seniors. Two days before party, they were removed from being under ragging and allowed to dress as they want but advised to be together and not move alone in college as they were new in the college. also college premises was spread in acres aon they shouldn't go alone. A day after they weer allowed, all first year girls took extra time, infact complete two lectures to get ready. Even the boys in all classes were confused that where were the girls but as it was their first day out of ragging they were sticking to old rule of going to college with all the girls hence got late. When before the third lecture girls went to classes, all they could listen was gasping of boys, hooting, and they felt so shy. few ppl had become aquainted to boys in the lab classes but Naina dint like her labmates too much as alloted by roll no. That day she was working in Chemistry lab, when she felt someone staring at her, she could feel the heat, but Kamya being extra smart tried to do their experiment and snatched the apparatus from her. And remember this was the only time when lab assistant had told that this particular apparatus, i. e. viscometer is very expensive and to be used carefully.Naina straighened herself and unknowingly followed the gaze of person and looked straight in eyes of Sameer who git startled when their eyes met, and the apparatus felt down and broke simultaneously. She broke her gaze and immediately coloured as everyone was looking at her and she saw lab assistant coming towards her. That day Naina was wearing white coloured churidar, suit and draped baby pink dupatta, but the chemical spread on her white dress like colours of Holi, of course it was an indication that her life is going to be coloured up
