Have always envisaged this scene post wedding.
So the scene is at Naina and Sameer's new home. Maybe immediately after her grah Pravesh, post wedding ritual games done. Everyone is kind of resting. Maybe next day too.
So, Vishakha tells Naina that all her stuff is kept in her and Sameer's bedroom. She may want to sort it and put in her cupboard as per her convenience. Naina goes to her room to set up her stuff. Sameer is also with Vishakha. Suddenly there is lot of commotion from Naina and Sameer's bedroom and Both Vishakha and Sameer rush to the room, only to find all of Naina's stuff strewn across the bed including jewellery boxes and Naina frantically searching for something.
Sameer asks, "kya hua Naina, yeh Sab kuch ulta pulta kyon hai, what are you searching for so frantically?
Naina says, "my treasure box, it contained precious things.
Vishakha's concerned, she asks, "kya hua beta, is some precious jewellery missing. Were there more boxes? On hearing this mami walks in and mocks, "Vishakha didi, aap ko Lagta hai uske librarian papa or middle class family ne kuch kimti jewellery di hogi' Then looks at Naina, Chinta mat Kar, uss se kahin mehenge Haar Diye hain humne Shaadi pe. Sameer aur le ayega chahiye to. Then she mutters to Vishakha that Naina is pretending to escape from the embarrassment that her family has not given her much jewellery.
Naina finally speaks up that it is not jewellery which is missing. Something far more precious. All are perplexed. Sameer goes to Naina and asks what is it Naina. Naina doesn't want to say out loud so whispers in Sameers ears. Sameer smiles and tells her, don't worry, I didn't realise, I have kept your treasure box safely in our cupboard. Naina has tears of joy and rushes to the cupboard and checks the contents and once again smiles at Sameer and says thank you.
By now both Vishakha and mami are curious. Vishakha asks Sameer to tell them what is in the box. Sameer says Naina will tell. Naina nods her head in the negative. Sameer blinks his eyes and signals Naina to tell. Sameer then looks at Vishakha and says, "Mummy aapko hamesha lagta hai na ki Naina dil se nahi dimaag se sochti hai, usliye hamara Mel thik nahi hai. Ab Pehli baar Apko Meri topper Naina ka dil dekhne ko milega.
Everyone sits on the bed while Sameer is indulgingly looking at Naina, resting on a wall. Naina slowly and apprehensively opens the box. The box is an assortment of odd things. Vishakha is surprised, she sees an old shoe, dried roses, letters etc. Mami meanwhile taunts, "yeh kya kachra hai jiske liye tumne poora ghar sar pe utha liya. Naina immediately reacts, "yeh kachra nahi hai Bahut kimti hai. Vishakha meanwhile sushes mami and asks Naina to continue.
Naina says, Kahan she shuru Karoon, Mummy ji apko to pata hai mujhe Sameer se pehli nazar me hi pyaar ho Gaya tha. Tab mujhe nahi pata tha ki yeh pyar hai par hamesha Sameer ke aas pas rehna chahti thi. She picks her old shoe and smiles, pata hai yeh Sameer ki Taraf se mere liye pehla gift. Vishakha is amused, "School shoes? Naina goes into flash back and smiles and narrates the incident. Vishakha also smiles looking at Sameer.
Next comes Sameers passport size photo and Naina explains how she stole it. She laughs while showing her the Lycil bottle , how Sameer had been so thoughtful and she had been so embarrassed. She goes through all the items and narrates all incidents one by one including the Aashiqui cassette cover, Sameer sang Naina card, the dori, the dried roses from their rose plant, birthday bracelet, first time Sameer bought her bangles, wool from the first sweater she knit him, his hand made card when she is announced student of the year, the love letters he wrote while he was in Delhi etc.
By the time she finishes, Sameer and Naina are all smiles. Naina safely puts her box back in the cupboard and leaves from there. Mami also makes a face but is speechless so leaves from there.
Sameer comes and sits next to Vishakha who is all teary eyed. She looks up at Sameer with tears now flowing down her cheeks and says, "Beta Aaj tak mein Samajh hi nahi payi tere pyaar ko. Kabhi aisa pyaar mehsoos nahi Kiya to Tera Sachha pyaar hamesha infatuation laga. Aaj mujhe pata Chala kyon tum dono apne pyaar ke liye sari Duniya she lad padhe. Why you were so protective of your precious love and Naina. Naina was correct when she met me the first time that as far as you are concerned, she has always thought from her heart. I should have just for once listened to you and Naina and trusted you. I am so stupid. I should have thought that papa would have never given his blessings if he was not sure of Naina. Mujhe Maaf kar de. Maafi mujhe Naina se bhi Mangni hai. Naina sahi Kehti hai, uske treasure box me is duniya ki sab se kimti cheezen hai. " Mom and son both smile through tears and hug.
