Belas character

Was just watching a clip from the very first few epis...and I get a feel that they changed Belas character from what they might have thought they will do..initially she was nice to naina no doubt but I feel they did try to keep a tint of grey shade to the character. Like a woman who eventually will choose her own daughter...
However then I feel they turned her out n out positive and one og the most supportive towards naina..sometime even moore than preeti also...and I'm soo happy they did that..I'm so happy they didn't go the cliched way of a bad chachi and naina always under her pressure because she has lost her mother and her father hardly aknowledges her presence.

I loved her during sharads time..the way she was the only among elders who supported naina even after when anand said yes to it...
And last week..She had a point and had the reason to react..but again she did understand what she is doing and again supported samaina.

The contrast shown between TT and Bela and Anand and their thinking is so beautyfully done. Especially when Tayji said that despite of us sacrifising for the honor..we are being maligned...this shows how they are still in the old thinking while people around are changing their thinking. They thought Anand and bela will have to face the taunts but here they are facing.

Yes, I agree with you. I recently re-watched the school time episodes of YUDKBH and realised the same thing. In the initial episodes, the character of Bela Chachi was not as positive towards Naina as it is right now. In the first episode, she also commented on Naina's looks. But I think this is the growth of her character. Like every character of the show be it Sameer or Naina, Chachi Ji's character has also developed with the story. And I think that it's because of Anand's thinking and attitude. Because in the show, Anand always teaches new things to Naina, Preeti and Chachi Ji. And there is a great influence of Chacha Ji's character on Bela's character which we can see in the show. And I am happy that makers have shown Chachi Ji's character highly supportive and positive towards Naina. :)
