whatever is her situation.. She does love Sameer but she is practical which is why she let sameer return. So whatever love she got from his son after a long time might vanish if Naina comes. This is why i think she didn't approve of Naina initially...

But when she got to know that sameer didn't appear for his exams because of Naina her disapproval become stronger... And no parent would approve of a life partner for their son/daughter in such case at such age...

His elders don't understand their relationship for a number of reasons I guess.

- One being they have personally not experienced anything like this and hence they don't understand this sort of soulful young love.

- There own relationships are probably based on the practical and socially acceptable criteria and hence they cannot see outside that box.

- They do not see anyway the family or business will benefit from this alliance, and hence of not much value to themselves. Mamaji had been quite keen to talk to Su's father about his rishta before before, so age is definitely not a concern for them, right?

But, it is not a phase. It is love that will endure and only grow deeper!
