the reason being, the generation who faced those issues, are now parents. and they wouldn't want their daughters to go through what they had to.

Also these days...there are more Anand Agarwal's in families and less of Taiji's. as compared to those days. So girls are getting more support now, if not from parents then definitely someone from extended family.

But still lots of room for improvement.

Alot has changed . With each generation things change. Sometimes for the better other times for the worse. The restrictions of the 90s was less than those of the 80s or 70s or any other time before. There was a time when girls were buried alive simply for being born a girl. There was also a time when girls were not allowed out of the doors of their homes or to look out through the window. So thing have constantly changed.

The responsibilities of males towards females have also changed. There was a time when women were the property of men to be done with as the man wished. He could sell her or make her his queen. He could chop off her head if he so wished.

In the world today, some girls are completely emancipated whilst others are still living the life of a by gone era. Thankfully more girls are being educated, governments have taken up many programs to uplift the condition of females. However many dangers lurk for females at home and in the broader world. #metoo shows one of the dangers for females. Rates of Rape, murder, femicide etc are highest for females.

Whilst some conditions have improved, the objectification of females continue. The struggle for the emancipation of all women is an ongoing one. Alta continua.
