I agree that what Sameer is doing is unjustifiable. He is not revealing his mind even to his close friends Munna and Pundit. In front of all others he is acting as a good boyfriend but only Naina is aware of that indifference.
But if we see his past, has he ever revealed his mental condition or thoughts to anyone. Even Munna Pundit also not completely aware of the loneliness and insecurities he faced from childhood. Because of his love with Naina and friendship with Munna Pundit he had discussed some issues with them but the tendency to keep it all inside is still there. That is why he was running away from all of them when he came back from Delhi. He always had an feeling that there is something wrong in him because of which his mother abandoned him in hostel. There was so much pain in him when he said that his mother used to call him only twice every year that too just to know his academic results. So a kid who grew up without having the luxury of discussing his issues or opening up his mind with a person whom he trust will naturally find it difficult to trust others even after growing up. Plus Sameer is already having a feeling that he is not good as others. He has somehow overcome some of those issues with Naina's and Munna Pundit's love. But when Vishaka raised those doubts about Samina relationship, his insecurities started coming back. He is trying to hide it from others because that is what he was forced to do from young age onwards.
Now the question is there of why he is not trusting Naina. First and foremost reason is his mother's words and his insecurities. Second reason is, for any relationship these kind of interactions are enough to understand each other. But to trust, they need to know more especially for someone who has gone through a childhood like that of Sameer. Of the 4 years they were in love hardly for one year only they were physically together. So Sameer can come out of that insecurities completely only after their marriage or after he is completely sure that no matter whatever happens Naina is always his and only he got the right to touch her intimately. Until then he may get these kind of doubts on himself and others every now and then. It was a 10 year old Sameer full of insecurities was talking to Vishakha yesterday not a young man. Because he is confident on his capabilities but not on maintaining a relationship. It is really heartbreaking to see any child suffering like this.
