Abida, even i feel Sameer will dislike if any closeness develops between Poonawala and Naina, which will most likely happen, considering Naina is hard working and Poonawala likes hard working students... And i feel Naina will be so excited with all her success that she will fail to notice Sameer's feelings and discomfort... since she broke up in first year she has been developing more thick skin and practicality has lost some of her sensitive nature, and I feel this is eventually going to hurt Samaina now...But in all this I'm not sure how Sameer can get a role in that play or how this drama track can have any importance to Sameer... Once he is out of the selection, Poonawala will not take him back, and Sameer will have no reason to hang around the drama group... So wonder what will happen... There will be no reason for him to work for the play after he's rejected... unless something drastic happens and Sameer gets a chance to display his talents somehow...
Also, I don't think CVs will repeat the exact same thing from school, like give Sameer a side role... that would be too repetitive and boring... they have been showing parallels but also opposite, in the sense that in school where Sameer participated in many things but lost, now Naina is participating and winning... where Sameer didn't have any good support in school, here Naina has a lot of solid, useful support from her gang... the only thing Sameer succeeded in was the Romeo role for the school play which did not bring him much recognition, but now its a much bigger thing as this is an inter-college competition... Lets wait and see...
I feel its high time the CVs need to start showing Sameer's luck turn... he needs to start growing as an individual... he needs to start understanding his own talents and having trust in them... he needs to start winning and getting recognition for his talents and capabilities... that one scene in Vishaka's FB where Sameer tells her what's the use of trying if he is not going to win shows that he does not have confidence in his capabilities... and part of the reason is he has never won, his family thinks he is not capable of achieving anything. in fact he has been constantly taunted about this, compared to Rohan, all his life. Now he does not even want to even try, and I feel there is an in-built fear in him that he will lose. He cleverly hides it behind a carefree attitude, but its there... unless he is shown to win, this attitude will not change for him... until then he will be happy to support and help Naina and just stand back in the shadows... he needs to feel the taste of success to crave it, like how Naina does... she hates losing because she is so used to winning.
But I'm skeptical if the CVs are thinking this way, since Naina's VO mentioned how Poonawala will become important for Naina in 3rd year... there was no mention of what will happen to Sameer... so again, wait and watch...
