Hi Ross... as usual am very very very late! Lovely review as usual... what stood out was your reaction to the market scene... looks like it put you off completely. Since that seemed like the most controversial part in your update I will reflect on that first...
I have two thoughts on that... first one matches yours... quite un-creative of the creatives to prove Naina is intelligent... hope we don't see more such silliness from Sameer, for we have seen him be and act in a very intelligent, responsible and mature manner in the recent past... hope we are not subjected to forced 'dumbness' of this kind just to elevate Naina...
But... my contrary thought to that is maybe it is a way to foreshadow that even if Sameer slips in his judgement in the future Naina will have his back... she will be there to guide him... we have seen Sameer slip in the past like when he joined the mawali gang or when he bought into daadi's manhoos talk... in both cases his sane mind told him he was being stupid, yet he didn't know how to get out... until Naina helped him directly and indirectly... maybe this market scene was to show that with Naina by his side Sameer will not get pulled into believing such words, as he was not alone anymore... just like we have seen how he is there to always protect her and make sure no harm comes to him...
So overall... many lovely moments... Start with Sameer-Vishaka... i enjoyed every scene of their last week... each one is worth a repeat watch! 👏 Finally we got to see Sameer's mom... who loved and pampered her son... who gave importance to him and spent time with him... who in the process has seen many many cute, lovable and sensible shades in her son... love the two scenes where she was massaging his head while he has this blissful look on his face... loved Randeep's expression here... this was the first thing that got to him when he arrived at Delhi... the closeness his siblings shared and the ease with which Vishaka pampered... Finally he himself was enjoying that attention from her... unadulterated love which maybe he was experiencing for the first time since childhood...
Two other noteworthy things... First...this kid, who was experiencing his mother's undivided attention for the first time in maybe more than a decade, had so much love in him that he was willing to share that with Naina...how easily he kept telling her that Vishaka was her mom too... somehow totally loved that gesture...👏
Second of course was the fact that he frankly opened up to her about Naina... so loved it! 👏 So much nicer to hear these things from your own child than from others... now even if anyone try to complain about it in the future Vishaka can shut them completely... it also reflects that Sameer now trusted his mom... the same boy who hid behind Nanu and didn't want to share his feeling with her, now opened up about the most important truth/ secret of his life... and then once he started he could not stop! He kept praising Naina to the skies, so Vishaka to make sure could understand his feelings... and also made sure Vishaka should try to understand Naina's nature and not just look at outward appearances... To me that concern from Sameer was touching... he just wanted to make sure she sees in Naina everything he does, and he knew Samaina had very limited time, like an hour, to convince Vishaka...
Mundit scene on Wednesday reminded me of the other market scene ages ago, when Sameer tried to explain to them about Pooja's wedding. 😆 only this time their teasing Sameer was appropriate! 😆
Agarwal's family scene was well done... one could feel all the Diwali vibes... the rangoli scene with Taiji was absolutely hilarious! Preeti definitely stood out in all the family scenes... be it advising Naina or training her... she was brilliant... and I continue to like Juhi... still wonder how far her role would stretch, but for now, she is definitely a pleasant addition. 👍🏼 Only new Arjun needs to pick up on his acting... somehow his character seems loose now... Rakesh is still blaming him, he feels lost and a loser in his current job... he also seems aimless without cricket, though he seemed to be a little disinterested in that towards the end... he definitely wants to get money the easy way... incidentally this is exactly what Naina stopped Sameer from doing... and advised him to work hard for his goals! While ARjin was slowly drifting to the easy, maybe even wrong patch... so he is definitely still depressed... also seems like chachaji and chachi are not able to completely get to him...
Last scene... took my heart, so real! 👏 That nervousness in Naina and over eagerness in Sameer was so well done. While Vishaka was gauging them... and the song was cherry on the top... I love how there CVs do this sometimes, use the perfect lines from a song... those scenes are always iconic, unforgettable... tohfa tohfa when Sameer spit the gum onto Naina's hair... or main nagin tu sapera when Taiji and Rakesh were fighting once or tayab ali pyaar ka dushman 😆 and now panchi akela dekh mujhe yeh jaal bichaya hai! 🤣 Samaina and Vishaka's expressions were worth watching... and then poor naina, shaking like a leaf... so much that SAmeer was cutely concerned... and then we will continue tomorrow...
finally applaud the CVs for all the mom-son scenes... and for not dragging Naina-Vishaka meeting... precap seems fun, let's see what this week holds...
And a huge round of applause 👏👏👏 to the cast, crew and creatives for conceiving and presenting a simple love story in a refreshing manner... 300 and counting and we are still not bored! A huge achievement for an Indian show! 👍🏼👏
