This a really really short story call it drabble or flash fiction! Was watching earlier episodes and got this on mind..
It's 3.00 am! He's lying on the bed it was back. The nightmare was always the same. No matter which path he took, it always came back to the hangman's noose at the center of the maze. He woke up with a sudden jerk his heart pounding in his ears, he found himself paralysed unable to move, unable to utter a word, full of sweat and tears pooled out of his eyes! Finally after what seemed an eternity, but was probably no more than a few minutes, he found himself able to move again. He looked at the figure lying beside him sleeping peacefully and even though usually he would find it adorable to watch her sleep but these days it was more of an assurance that he hasn't lost her. This nightmare or let's say the flashback to the day he set a bet to win her love was torturing him almost every alternate day and giving roots to the fear, the fear of loosing her again for something stupid! He stood up and walked towards the window staring at the moon, crying, sniffling! He felt someone tugged on to him from behind.. She asked "Same dream again? to which he hummed.. She turned him, wiped his tears and took his hands in her hands and said "I don't know why out of all these years you're suddenly having this dream again and again but you need to get over this fear of yours! It was our past, a bad one yes, but we're over it and look here we are tied to each other for all our lives! You have me now and always! I promise " He pulled her into a tight embrace having the realisation that he was not alone they have been through this together and she is with him today and forever felt extremely calming to him. She hugged him tighter to assure him that they were together forever! His tears had taken a slower pace now.. "I don't want to lose you ever again by doing anything stupid like that.. like ever the fear evident in his voice! "That was you long time ago, now you've grown up and won't do such mistakes I know! He broke the hug, wiped his tears and said, "Promise me you won't go away if I commit any stupid mistake because back then I was an idiot not to realise what you meant to me but if I lose you now I'll die next second just how a heart dies the moment it loses its beats! She smiled and said,I promise I won't! He hugged her again and said, I love you Naina, I love you.. a lot! You're my heartbeat! to which she replied saying, I love you too and will always do, now let's sleep please?" requesting like a cute little kid. And it worked, how could someone not smile at this cuteness.. they were back in bed hugging each other his more tighter embrace having a peaceful sleep!
