Redemption

Is it possible to redeem ones lost character?? The answer is, you can change yourselves for better but cant completely get back everything that you lost because of your misbehavior or inappropriate character.Let us take examples of Swathi and Sameer.

Sameer , in a fit of anger placed a bet saying that he will make Naina Agarwal fall in love with him. Was it wrong , yes it was. But then viewers still have some sympathy for him and we wanted to see his redemption . Why ??
Because even though he placed the bet, all through out the track , he wanted to come out of it. He not even once tried to misbehave with her . There were plenty of opportunities to win the bet ,but he himself went back to the extent that his friends asked him , if he was falling for her. When he was caught red handed by her father in her room, he could have easily spoiled her image saying she called him to her room, instead he took the blame on himself and saved her image.

Now lets talk of Swathi. She is Naina's best friend. As per Naina , Swathi has always been there for her . Naina had refused to go for the tour as Swathi was upset with her. Swathi today said she didn't want to be Naina's shadow. Did Naina push Swathi to be her Shadow?? I don't think so because Swathi has never shown interest to lead. If she was interested in leading she could have spoken to Naina than running to Sunaina for a shoulder to cry. This essentially shows the grudge that Swathi had for Naina. And this grudge started with Sameer falling for Naina. Today again she said Naina had began this whole thing bringing Sameer between them...really?? She is the one who thought Sameer was in love with her . In fact, that boy was behind Naina and Swathi just happened to be at the same place since she was always with Naina.

Now many might argue that Naina has taken Swathi for granted many a times. True she has but while she did that her intention was never to see Swathi fail in life. Her act has never caused this kind of embarrassment to Swathi. In this case Swathi not only tried to destroy Naina' image , she also played with so many peoples emotions.

Swathi not only failed as a friend but also as a lover and she acted with no feeling of guilt.. rather was planning to destroy her best friends' success. Whereas , Sameer even while trying to win the bet , he didn't allow Naina to loose. He wanted her image to be intact. So, when we compare the Swathi and Sameer's character and their negative , act viewers wouldn't mind Sameer to be redeemed but not Swathi.

She was complaining about Munna today, the question is when has Swathi shown that kind of attention towards Munna. Swathi's main problem is Sameer. She , even today she is not able to digest the fact that Sameer fell in love with padakoo , behanji types Naina and not her.

I just hope Naina tells what Swathi had done to Sameer because he deserves to know. She had even argued with him for Swathi . Its high time that she showed trust in her relationship with Sameer as I think that is very important. If she again tries to save her friend like DIL of sans bahu serial , then the love story of Sameer and Naina will start loosing its value. And I personally don't think any amount of redemption can make Swathi be liked again by the rest of the gang or by viewers.

And Sam used to feel guilty at a time. Kahi na kahi Sam k pass reason tha, uske dosto ko pata tha. Though oh Naina ko like nai karta tha(according to Sam) neither he misbehave nor he betrayed her, he was genuinely faking for her and used to help her. But swati betrayed being friend with them and yeh sab karne ka itna bada reason bhi nai tha like Sam

Loved your beautifully written post. Completely agree with it. I think Swati's reaction was wrong and it is high time for Naina to lnow that she can blindly trust Sam about everything.

Swati has flipped in her character completely.. Never ever one would have thought that she had such pent up emotions inside her or maybe just passing thoughts which got badly fuelled by Sunainas words.

Feeling really bad on seeing the end of such a beautiful friendship. In real life also some people behaves like this. They themselves will not do anything and blame everyone else for their failure.
I agree that Munna ignored her and never gave her that extra treatment that a BF should give to GF but did she ever made Munna felt special. Except Sameer and Nanu one really know how much Sameer has changed in Naina's love. He was also a person who was escaping from problems instead of facing it. In Nainital when he had problems he choose to run away from hostel and instead of going to meet his mother in Delhi he chose to go to Ahmedabad so that he don't need to face taunts of his step father and Dadi. Until he realized his love for Naina he was having this escaping mentality. He was keep on saying that once she forgives him post bet revelation, he will go away from Ahmedabad permanently. But once he realized his love towards Naina, he got the courage to explain his entire love story to Nanu including bet story. Nanu immediately realized this big change in Sameer and that is why he accepted Naina wholeheartedly as future DIL.
May be Naina is also not aware of the kind of changes that she made in Sameer. That is why when Munna was confronting her before suicide drama she was not able to say anything. We have seen Sameer doing a lot of things for Naina but everyone forgets that the person who made him to change like this is none other than Naina.
