I agree. It is kind of contradictory. Sameer is sure of marrying Naina but in some situations his hesitation seems contradictory.

When on movie date topic, Naina asked him to marry.. he also knew that she was being sarcastic. But his reaction was not convincing.

exactly my point! Too much contradiction in the same situation.

With marriage comes responsibility.. Aur shaadi jitti badi responsibility lene layak responsible abhi hua nhi h wo

Yeah I wrote something similar after that room talk ep when naina asks sameer whether unka pyar shaadi wala yaan time pass wala hai but I guess at that time I was the only one thinking that way.

Sameer is always committed to Naina and he wants only Naina as his life partner. Earlier when he was talking about marriage he was a free going teenager who had a loving and caring Nanaji as his support and shield. At that age one doesn't know about the responsibilities associated with marriage. For them it is just a girl and boy spending time together and will be always happy happy just how it was showing in movies.
But while staying in Delhi he learned the commitments and adjustments one has to make in a marriage. He saw how much his mother is adjusting and sacrificing for saving her marriage. And he got few months of working experience in radio station also which taught him how difficult it is to earn money and how difficult is to adjust in a work place with peoples with different mentality.
Now, in Ahmedabad also he is getting a first class example of struggle of a daughter in law as Poonam bhabhi. Just because of her cooking skills only she is surviving in her sasural. At any cost Sameer don't want Naina to suffer like this. For that both of them have to be develop a strong career. And now he knows that marriage is not just spending time together, it also involves a lot of responsibilities. He doesn't have the protective hand of Nanaji whom he can trust blindly. Even though right now mama and Mami are trying to fill that void but emptiness will be there always. As per his promise to Nanaji he has to become SJM first then only he can commit to much bigger responsibility like marriage.
So now when marriage talks comes up all these things are going through his mind. That is why there is some hesitation. He knows very well that his life partner is always Naina but he needs some time to fulfill his promise to Nanaji first.

Where and how did u find him commitment phobic... Abhi to cvs ne uska thought process PURA reveal bhi nahi Kiya hai regarding mrg... Obviously he wants to marry Naina... But thy have lot to discuss before that... And thy both know it's too early for them... Thy r just in first year... Naina is just teasing him... even she would have reservations if she is seriously asked about mrg

See hum 1st episode as show k dekh rahe toh we know he is committed to Naina and only wants to marry her, voiceover se bhi we know but recent mein joh dikha rahe hai oh thoda differently potray kiya hai cvs ne. Agar koi new people ush episode we hamare show ko dekhne lage toh surely they will think recently he is not thing to get married with Naina. Cvs ko yeh thoda carefully dikhana padeka. Sameer ki thinking sahi hain ki before marriage he want to enjoy love phase. Since he knows Naina family and their attitude towards Naina toh usko dusra option bhi sochna chaiye, yeh CVs nai dikharahe hain. He have stayed with agarwals for long, he knows ladkiyon ki sadhi jaldi kardete hain family wale toh usko yeh ensure karna hoaga ki infuture agar Aisa hua toh he will be ready. Yhe toh sure hai after Sefjun track Taiji is not going to leave Naina and she will make sure Rakesh mane and Arjun k waja de Rakesh bhi ladka search karne lagega jahe hun kuch bhi bole early marriage hai bagera bagera but ush time mein marriageable age was 18 and almost sab ki sadhi hoti thi ush time mein. Cvs bar bar hint derahe Naina ka proposal start hone wala hai. I know agar situation yesa aya toh sameer will be ready but joh sameer ka character that ush hisab se abhi ka sameer achaa nai lagraha hai(sadhi commitment k liye only). Atleast cvs ko small things ka care karna padega, CVs ignore karte hai yese things ko coz unko lagta hai people won't notice but I m sure if we ask our parent to watch only those 2/3 episode jaha sadhi ki baat hui hain toh defines they will se in their opinion sameer Naina se sadhi k bare mein nai soch raha hai. I tired to avoid this thinking but jab yeh post dekha toh laga sirf mein nai hu jiske isme problem dikh raha hain. Atleast we can suggest cvs to be careful. Hume show k bare mein pata so we know samina's love but new people if they watch by chance toh oh log logic nai lagayenge. Choti Choti things hi trp ko effect karta hain. Lastly sorry if hurt anyone and sorry for the spelling and grammatical mistakes. Yeh kisi ko hurt karne k liye nai hain.

Like its strange when he realized he loves naina & turned into majnu maheshwari to win her heart, he talked about shaadi so many times but now he's shown being hesitant?

Like sure you can say you dont want to marry yet cos naina doesnt want to either but his reactions are weird lol. Before that ep, ppl used to say sameer is 90s confident sanskari kid who believes once you fall in love then shaadi is pakka. Cant the makers show that kind of confident sameer.

exactly.. the shaadi doesn't have to happen now but the hesitation sd go away! He was hesitant & scared 1 min & next he said Naina Maheshwari... that's so unlike him! His is a firm & determined character...dnt mind the flaws in a teenager but he is growing up & tht is his path!

truly loved ur post! Very nicely analysed & apt reasons u gave for his hesitation, which was the main concern...he can talk openly to Naina about this... he is till. It comfortable about opening up about his bottled about emotions like Naina who shares everything with him like how she wants to study more & become someone before marriage. Yes I admit that he also said that this was not the right age of marriage but then next minute he hesitated & a next minute it was Naina Maheshwari... seemed like a wavering character... but I guess u r right!
