Hello there! :)
I am not a regular viewer of this show or a regular part of this forum, but I couldn't help myself to write a post after watching the last two episodes.

I usually do not expect much out of Indian tv shows, having suffered the consequences of applying too much brains where it is not required😆 But watching Ye unn dino ki baat hai sometimes really seems like a breath of fresh air. To have periods and body hair being discussed so appropriately with JUST the right amount of awkward and adorable factor had me chuckling away :)

And the voice overs so beautifully take you through different phases of Naina and Sameer's life, without glossing over the troubles that love truly has to face in reality. It always leaves me smiling, the first motor bike ride, the first time you want to get a wax and the innocence that makes you wanting to see where their love story goes.

I am twenty one and sometimes when I see relationships of my age group, I often wondered how they did it back in the old days. And I am telling you it felt AWESOME to have someone talking about the complex you get when you have too much leg hair🤣Having being educated in a elite public school and yet having had a middle class typical background, I remembered going to school hairy for quite a long time when almost every girl around me had their eyebrows done and all the works😆

Coming to the oh so cute Bike ride, I totally related to it (Do not ask how😳😆) but it just felt so good to be watching love so innocent. And I almost wondered if I am living a generation back or something 😆 Because for some reason, the hesitation, the thinking, the dilemmas, they make sense to me. In a world where we are running ahead everywhere, even in relationships, to see a time where every moment was shared after so much deliberation and remembered rather than captured and posted on instagram...

It just felt so real :)

All in all, Ye sach me unn dino ki hi baat hai, jab pyaar sachcha hua karta tha

And they are doing a pretty good job of portraying old world romance, the little things that matter in your list of memories😳

Couldn't agree with you more! Loved to see your post here. That's the best part of YUDKBH...the old world charm...which we all crave to live or to relive! And they discussed about such topics so easily...aren't all these a part of growing up. I guess almost every middle class girl could relate to Naina. Being in a relationship with a dashing guy, she was obviously unnerved by the fact that he'll find her repelling...she didn't realize though he would love to see her all decked up, he loves her the way she is! And then Sameer's complex- I was laughing! The guy is not yet getting his beard n one of the most handsome guys of the college is worried for that! Wonderful aspects- somehow related to our lives and it seems so real!

Funny .was jus discussing sme time bac wit my frends on twitter about our show where the TV medium is glorifying. ..highlighting all sorts of saas bahu craps, infidelity n even supernatural stuffs...Here We r witnessing the first bike rides, the memories to it...waxing.. periods...pakodas...facial hair ...the small small things but true realities of life ...!!
Everything that the show has to offer is surreal ...the emotions that ones goes thru each every moment is captured beautifully that all luks so relatable..!!...i cnt help smiling myself that my frends used to tease seeing my hairy avatar n sme proudly exhibited their skin right under the nose...College does bring a lot of revolution ..n as rightly said by the VO...its a place where all sorts of complexities do crop in whether being in relationship or not...U are made to feel conciou n inferior some or the other way...

The whole point is the phase ...the detailing ...the nuances...one step at a time in romance is depicted innocently ...that u feel ur living a part of ur life with them...!!The bike ride had its beauty...Nainas conciousness n Sams adorable smiles,n all those endearing stares from his rearview mirror at his ladylove is heartfelt melting...Their getups ...their distance yet so very close on the bike...their happiness on being 2gther for the very first time ...was a pure bliss...!!
