Hello there! :)
I am not a regular viewer of this show or a regular part of this forum, but I couldn't help myself to write a post after watching the last two episodes.
I usually do not expect much out of Indian tv shows, having suffered the consequences of applying too much brains where it is not requiredđ But watching Ye unn dino ki baat hai sometimes really seems like a breath of fresh air. To have periods and body hair being discussed so appropriately with JUST the right amount of awkward and adorable factor had me chuckling away :)
And the voice overs so beautifully take you through different phases of Naina and Sameer's life, without glossing over the troubles that love truly has to face in reality. It always leaves me smiling, the first motor bike ride, the first time you want to get a wax and the innocence that makes you wanting to see where their love story goes.
I am twenty one and sometimes when I see relationships of my age group, I often wondered how they did it back in the old days. And I am telling you it felt AWESOME to have someone talking about the complex you get when you have too much leg hairđ¤ŁHaving being educated in a elite public school and yet having had a middle class typical background, I remembered going to school hairy for quite a long time when almost every girl around me had their eyebrows done and all the worksđ
Coming to the oh so cute Bike ride, I totally related to it (Do not ask howđłđ) but it just felt so good to be watching love so innocent. And I almost wondered if I am living a generation back or something đ Because for some reason, the hesitation, the thinking, the dilemmas, they make sense to me. In a world where we are running ahead everywhere, even in relationships, to see a time where every moment was shared after so much deliberation and remembered rather than captured and posted on instagram...
It just felt so real :)
All in all, Ye sach me unn dino ki hi baat hai, jab pyaar sachcha hua karta tha
And they are doing a pretty good job of portraying old world romance, the little things that matter in your list of memoriesđł
