Chapter 3 :

Sameer's pov :

For the next 2 days, Naina was completely ignoring me pretending to do some work or other. I replaced the flower in the vase with the new ones and kept chocolates on a daily basis. I knew she noticed it but ignored it.

I was thinking of ways to call her when Rhea knocked the door to provide me the dress for the shoot. Suddenly an idea struck me and I asked her to call Naina.

And now seeing Naina, I knew my idea was perfect. She turned deep red on seeing me and immediately turned back.

"What are you doing?" She almost shouted. I held back my laughter and went near her.

"Naina, I spilled coffee on my shirt. Arrange some other shirt for me please" I said giving my shirt to her.

"You could have asked this to someone else , right?" She said irritated by my ways.

"But you're my PA, right?" I said in a teasing tone.

"So, you'll stand like this" she said waving her hands at me without looking.

"Like what?" I asked coming in front of her. She immediately closed her eyes seeing me shirtless. I can see she is struggling in her emotions and loved to tease her more.

I went close to her and wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her close. She placed her arms on my chest to avoid falling on me but the moment her hands touched my chest she opened her eyes wide and looked at me completely shocked and her face turned red. She immediately dropped her hands from my chest and I pulled her more closer. She was now so close that not even air could not pass through us. She had no other option than to place her hands on my chest to push me back. I can see her face changing to deeper shade of red if that was possible and her eyes was closed. Even I lost my senses, seeing her.

I bend down near her ears level and blew air on it. She dug her nails on my chest out of her nervousness. I placed a soft kiss on her cheek and chin and was about to place my lips on hers when she pushed me back.

Naina's pov :

I was startled and came back to reality when I heard a knock and that's when I opened my eyes and saw that his lips were an inch away from mine. I pushed him away with all my force and he looked at me confused. The knock came again and he understood why I pushed him and smiled knowingly. I so wanted to remove that smile from him face but I noticed my nail marks on his chest and turned red again which he noticed.

His eyes followed my eyes and landed on his chest. He placed his hands on the marks and he smiled teasingly at me.

I couldn't take any longer and hence I took the shirt and left the room.

"Wear something" I muttered before leaving.

Once I left the room, I released my breath which I don't know for how long I had been holding. I thanked god for stopping the kiss but the same time I was angry on myself for falling in the moment. When I touched his chest, I felt like my hands are burning. When he pulled me closer, my entire body started to turn warm. I hate the fact that still he can make me feel so. I made a mental note that this should not happen again.

"Move" Rhea said trying to get inside but I stopped her as I don't want anyone to see him like that.

"What?" She asked me confused for stopping her.

"I need your help" I said thinking for the reason and told her to bring another shirt for him and gave the coffee spilled shirt to her.

Rhea never left any opportunity to go near him. Though I didn't like it I made sure I didn't show it at least in front of him.

The next day, I was working on final arrangements when I noticed him entering the place.

"Wow" I heard someone say and turned back to see Reema looking at him stunned.

"He looks so hot" she said looking at him dreamily.

I never liked it when girls drool over him even during my school and college days and now also I can't help it.

The photoshoot went for the next few hours and I had to admit he looks like a real hero.

"Sir, can we have some shirtless photos?" The photographer asked and immediately my eyes popped out and I looked at him shocked and noticed he was already looking at me. He placed his hands on his chest where my nails dug him making me turn red. I just prayed he doesn't embarrass me more.

"No need for that" he said still looking at me and I relaxed a bit.

"But sir atleast open the first few buttons so that it looks good" the photographer suggested.

"Okay provide me few minutes" Sameer said moving to his room and asked me to accompany him.

I was scared as what would he do now.

Sameer's pov :

She was nervous which was visible on her face. I called her name.

"Yes sir" she said biting her lips afraid of my next move and a smile escaped my lips.

"Do you have compact powder I asked her and she looked at me confused.

I remember that day when she wore make up for the first time. I knew she wanted to try it but was scared coz of her house strict rules. She along with Preeti went to Swati's home and had decked up themselves beautifully. She looked so beautiful that I can't lift my eyes away from her. She has the triumphant glow in her eyes as if she achieved what she wants. As everyone left to the class, I pulled her along with me to the abandoned corridor.

"Are you planning to kill me today?" I asked her and she giggled.

"You did this for me? I said letting her see the desire in my eyes.

"No, I have dressed up for Karthik. Yesterday he asked me to come like this.. she said teasing me.

"Oh, then I you can go to him. Btw Sunaina is asking me daily to drop her home. I can let her know that I'm free today and she was looking hot today I said teasing her back and she got angry immediately.

"Let me go. She said trying to free her hands from me

"I was teasing just like you did. And you're my Su-naina : Sundar Naina, Susheel Naina I said pinching the red tint of her nose.

"If you come like this daily, I'm gonna be dead of you soon I said complimenting her.

"Thanks to Preeti then. She did this. We bought few make up things yesterday by lying to Taiji. She said giggling.

"Next time, take me for shopping. I ll buy you whatever you need I said placing the strand of her hair behind her ear and she nodded smiling. She introduced me to the world of Makeup.

"But Why?" she asked confused looking at me. That's when I realized I was smiling at her without saying anything.

"If I open the shirt buttons, there are possibilities that they can see the nail marks I said winking at her.

She nodded understandingly and searching her bag and took a small box handing it to me.

"Apply it I said removing my shirt buttons.

"What? She asked shocked.

"Either you apply it or I ll go just like this I said making her understand my stand. She stood thinking about my words.

"If they ask me about the marks, I have to tell them the truth as I can't lie properly I said teasing her.

"Shameless" she muttered and walked closer to me. She bend down near my chest. She slowly and softly applied the powder worried that it might hurt me. She looked so innocent at that time.

I hissed and she immediately looked at me worried.

"Is it paining? She asked looked at me concerned.

I nodded sadly looking at her innocently hiding my smile. She blew air on it and continued applying the powder. I held her arms tightly when I couldn't take more. She looked at me coz of my grip.

"Is it paining too much? She asked thinking it I'm holding her for support.

I pulled her so that she is now facing me with her confused face.

"If you continue to do like this, I don't think we could go out anytime soon I whispered slowly tracing my fingers along her arms. Her expression changed soon. She understood what I meant and Nervousness took over her.

"It's done. We can leave" she said trying to pull out of my grip. But I was so lost in her.

"Sameer" she said a bit loudly and that brought me back to my senses.

"Finally you called me by name" I said with a genuine smile and left her.

"And yeah, don't bite your lips." I said caressing her lips lightly at the place where she bite before.

Naina's pov :

I tried calling him but he was nowhere in his senses. Even I feel like losing into him but I don't want to fall for him again. Finally I lost my patience and said Sameer a bit louder and he came back to reality.

"Finally you called me by name" he said with a genuine smile.

He was so happy hearing his name from my mouth. I saw love in his eyes. If he loves me so much why does he have to leave me a part of me questioned myself.

We left out for the photoshoot to complete and I was so tired by the end the day. Reminding the fact that the next day is Sunday I relaxed a bit.

Sunday morning, chachi ji asked me if I can accompany her to Preeti home and I agreed. A small change can make me feel good I thought. The sight that welcomed us in her home was delightful.

"Pandit, will you listen to me or not?" Preeti shouted and he nodded a no.

Tears started to pool in Preeti's eyes and Pandit rushed her.

"Fine I ll go and buy" he said sulking and Preeti hugged him happily and he hugged her back smiling

"I didn't see anything" I said entering her home with my eyes closed.

"Naina" she shouted happily and I hugged her.

"We won't mind even if you see" she said laughing and I hit her.

"What did she see?" Chachi ji asked entering and I looked at Preeti asking her to explain.

"Mumma" she said hugging her and chachi ji ignored the topic and hugged her back. Chachi ji asked about her and Pandit and we got to know that their parents went for some relation marriage. Since Preeti is pregnant, they didn't want her to travel. Pandit's parent were just like chacha-chachi, very friendly. They accepted Preeti as their daughter instead of DIL. Respecting their privacy, they gave the first floor of the house to Preeti and Pandit and they stayed downstairs. In those days, these small things were considered big. Infact when Taiji came to know about it, she blamed Preeti but Pandit's mom stood for her and told her that it's her decision.

"What are you going to buy?" I asked Pandit.

"Your sister want chocolate ice-cream. I told her that she might get cold but she is not listening" Pandit said sulking.

"What? Damad ji is saying is right beta, don't eat" Chachi ji supported pandit and immediately Preeti's eyes welled up again.

"Ok okay don't cry now, only a small cup okay?" Chachi ji said patting her and she nodded.

"Drama queen" I whispered in her ear and she winked back at me.

Pandit went to buy ice-cream and chachi ji volunteered to wash the dishes asking us to talk.

"So tell me, how are you?" I asked her.

"I'm good to be more precise fat" she said sadly.

I laughed at her and pulled her cheeks.

"Remember how we used to exchange clothes in school and college" she said and I nodded at her. "Now look, you're slim and fit and I'm fat" she said sulking. "If you were also married, you would also be pregnant and once again we could have exchanged dresses" she said and I went silent. Yeah only if I was as lucky as her. Sometimes I feel what taiji said is right. I'm unlucky since I was born. Preeti understood my silence.

"I'm sorry" she said side hugging me and I smiled at her.

"Tell me, how is everyone in your office? Anything new?" She asked me. How can I tell her that he is back. I can't even lie to her face-to-face. She can easily find out. I was thinking for an answer when Pandit came inside shouting ice-cream.

"Ice-cream" she shouted back and Pandit brought the ice-cream to her and feed her.

"You're feeding me less. Give it. I ll eat on my own" she said snatching the bowl from him. I laughed and chachi hit her head.

Sometimes I wish life was as simple as it is. No big dreams. A small family with our loved ones filled with happiness and laughter.
