Today I am going to take a leap of faith and jumping in for an analysis of the episode. So let's start.
Excellent post Minu! Thanks for starting the thread... much appreciated! 👏
Summing the whole episode in one line would be -Things fall Apart.
Quoting W.B.Yeats's famous lines from 'The Second Coming'-
''Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold''
Sameer is the centre and his loose hold due to 'manhoss' jaap has definitely loosened chaos and confusion. But the only solace is unwavering faith of each one of them on the other and thats what I love about the show.
@bold - that one aspect is so endearing to watch... not for a second anyone lost faith on anyone else... Sameer thought he could keep it together... he thought he would fall apart and nothing else would be disturbed... how totally wrong! When he realizes that he is that center that holds all those people around him, he will realize his own worth... that alone will give him a renewed purpose to value and hold on to all these people around him... and it will harbor his turn around. 😃
Also things have to fall apart before they can be put back together... in this case Sameer's breakdown in front of them is the cue they all needed to realize they need to help Sameer find his way back to them
Though the episode seemed a bit fast paced but nonetheless it seemed a familiar and balanced episode which covered myriad of things.
SaMunDit Reunion.
Munna is really a very emotional bacha. The way both caught him off guard was such a comic relief.Loved the dialogues though.Their friendship which is one of the lit factors of the show still has the charm retained.Pandit's mathematical dialogue-"teen mei se agar ek jaaye na toh kuch nahi bachta''.How deep the dialogue is and so is their friendship.
@bold - reminded me of the auto VO by Sameer during the marriage track... Pandit's dialog only reinforces how well these three know each other. What was sad to see was that while Mundit had tears of joy seeing Sameer back in his surrounding and back with them, for Sameer it was tears of sadness too... for somewhere he knew he would have to separate himself from them too.
The hug really took my heart away. They counted days for Sameer and Naina's reunion but deep down they were counting days for meeting their bestfriend.MunDit smiling through tears and Sameer too knows how he is the centre and strength to so many relations around him.No doubt he feels vulnerable with Dadi's reinforcement of manhoos jaap.
Yes... even though Sameer was hiding, the moment they hugged he took them in... and then pulled them even closer... all three were crying too. It was lovely... these three don't need elaborate words or dialog... a tear, a long hug and everything is back to normal for them.
MunDit as Anti-Romeo.
This part was bit forced may be and stretched to cover screen time but as always it added to some comic relief.Well MunDit chasing away the unmarried couple reminded me of Akshay Kumar's character chasing away everyone in Bhuool Bhulaiya film. The way they were frustrated and confused and took out it in most cutest and funny way.😆
But one thing was clearThey still have faith in idea of Love'.The way dhartiphad idea' came to Munna's mind took me by surprise.Seriously yaar!If this much dhartiphad idea' would have struck Munna a bit in studies,he surely would have been HEAD BOY of PVKM.
Loved Munna... for cheating Sameer with his technicality for the promise! 😆 Poor boys thought if they bring Naina in front of Sameer everything will fix itself
Samaina missing each other.
Mandir se, na Masjid se
Na to Girja ghar se
Dharti se na ambar se
Na to banda parwar seMohabbat ko lagi kiski baddua...
The way they are missing each other really had so much pain engraved in it. Each other's belongings are the ways of they belonging to each other. His letter ,her photo and their numbness.Their love exists and that is forever. The hard times shall definitely pass.
Yes, it will pass... they have too much love and yearning for each other... Sameer needs to take that leap of faith once again... its the same leap he took when he decided to win Naina back after Mt. Abu... when despite what others said, he was so sure he had hurt Naina but she still loved him... now once again he needs to take that leap, but this time he will need Naina's strength and confidence in their love and future to do that... this time he will need to believe in her faith.
PreeMunDit planning.
That was definitely another highlight of the episode.Though I wonder how they got Preeti into confidence and planned the meeting. Anyways the planning was superb. The pen again did the trick.Loved the parallel though there. In the beginning of school phase Naina had split ink on Sameer and now with the starting of college phase he split ink on Naina's shirt.
And definitely loved the face-to-face meet.Though many are disappointed with the way it was executed..I didn't find any fault in execution.May be we were expecting a Bollywood style meeting but this scene felt so so real. The way he ran away from her and she pestering nonchalantly. The typical teenagers in action. The chaos and confusion of mind is not letting him think rationally. Most importantly she got a hint of that chaos.Again loved the emotion of immense 'faith' in their relationship.
@bold- I didn't either... this is not a normal reunion for them... this is a reunion for Naina to realize that something had gone wrong with Sameer. To understand he was hurting badly... and he needs to be healed. She saw the torture he was going through when she was hurt, how he tried to hide his tears too... and then he fled. Their real reunion will happen when Sameer stops running and takes his steps back to Naina... when his confidence will be restored... when he will realize his true worth to those who love him... and I hope we see this happen on her birthday, which I suppose is coming up fast. I also think it will happen before college starts.
Naina's accident.
Naina's accident was to add another point of analogy for Sameer's clarification of 'Why he is a Manhoos'.Keeping all manhoosiyat jaap aside,he really did could never see her hurt. How I loved that the handkerchief came again on to the scene. He could not heal her wound and can't afford to give her more wounds.
And painfully he walks away.
Yes... handkerchief again... be it Sameer or Naina, when one is hurt it is always the other who has what they need to help them. 😃
Sameer's confession to MunDit.
That was one major highlight.Though he had decided to not to speak about his problem to anyone he could not help breaking down in front of his brothers from another mother.Somehwere I felt that he understood what he's doing is childish but the battle between the heart and mind is never easy.. He's in more pain than anyone and caught in Hamletian Dilemma.
Not to forget ,Bela Chachi again proved that one doesnot have to produce a baby and be a mother. The way she got worried and cared for Naina..such a selfless soul she is.❤️
Yes... Finally, finally he was forced to admit part of the truth... enough to give them a hint that he is hurt and bleeding... and has no strength to fight anymore. Loved how they all understood that something was wrong with Sameer... now they will not leave him alone anymore. With this, I really hope they talk to Vishaka to know what happened, because that was the last straw that made Sameer believe that he is manhoos and a danger to his loved ones... why was fear ruling Sameer's mind and actions now? Why was he blaming himself for all that had happened in the past?
SPECIAL MOMENT OF THE EPISODE:MunDit's admiration for Naina Bhabhi'.
'hume toh yakeen nahi ho raha tha, maan gaye naina bhabhi ke yakeen ko'' ..There is so much adoration, respect and warmth in the way both MunDit talk about Naina's undying ,true love for Sameer.
'.. YAKEEN nahi PYAAR'The way Pandit was sitting with complain list against his bhabhi and the next moment he corrected Munna.Naina definitely has redefined the idea of love' for them.
Naina has won over MunDit with her selfless and unconditional love for Sameer.
And the way they wanted that Naina should finally be at peace after meeting with Sameer. And the innumerable times they called her bhabhi' as if she is 'officially married..'😃
Though Sameer smiled, it was an ironic smile... I think that Bhabhi just reinforced to him that she will never be that... because he was going to let her go for her own good... so that Bhabhi both warmed him and hurt him today.
SPECIAL DIALOGUE OF THE EPISODE: "Jhagda! Jisse mein itna pyar karta hun use kaise jhagda kar sakta hun.
Such deep love he harburs for her.Yes!He loves her so much that he is ready to get himself drowned in an ocean of pain. But she is always his priority, his responsibility, his love...and always will.
Oh! I loved that dialog... how much love can he have for her... he keeps away from her yet her well being is his top most priority, even if it meant he has to hurt himself... he has yearned for her, cried for her, yet holds himself back to protect her... this is precisely why he has not written anything about all this to Naina, maybe has not even told her about Vishaka. This dialog just did it for me today...
Do share your opinion guys!😳
