Arre you see for Indian TV there is straight protocol:

When Saree comes into picture things suddenly become Sanskaari...doesn't matter if the blouse is backless, or the saree is worn way too below the naval, or even if the blouse is missing...only saree is drapped...nothing matters...what matters is agar Saree hai toh sanskaari hai...

And agar western kapde hai toh asanskaari hai...No confusion great combination😉😆

So true! Whereas I feel, Sari is more provoking than any other attire since you expose your body more than other.

In my family there were TAIJI like characters who won't let us wear revealing clothes. Just like Zulu said wearing sarees with deep neck was not much problem then but when we teans tried to put on a top with some deep neck they used to say a big NO... Even my mummy wouldn't let me wear such dress. This was specifically for upper part of body😉😆 bcoz I remember we used to wear knee length skirts and frocks😆. When I was watching the episode i was literary smiling as my cousin had to face similar taunts from one of my aunt's after wearing a top.

Meher you said it right. I'm from a remote area though not much village type. People used to give staring look when they see girls wearing jeans-then it was not common in our area- even I started wearing jeans when I joined professional college only😆. This is a fact. YEH UN DINON KI BAAT HAI😆

I agree Meher...My Naniyal is still very traditional...even if we are wearing a long kurta and jeans...my Mamaji and Nani don't like it...so it is my mom's special instruction to pack completely desi clothes kurta salwars and even abaya...😆...And I'm like why?...I can't travel in all that...atleast travelling mein jeans please...😆

But my point here is chalo this show is 90s so okay fine...but other shows are still promoting the same mentality...Saree/Salwar Kameez heroine is super-sanskaari...even if it is completely backless...but normal jeans top wearing characters are shown to be bold and hence they are then called asanskaari and munhphat in the show ...

C.v's are trying to show Naina's family was very conservative compared to Sameer's
If they could give maami such deep blouse Nd that topic nothing what naina wore ...yes saree Mei kamar dikhega to koi problem nahi par short top aur jeans pehnato bawaal hojayega.
