Thanks Nivi for a lovely post.. been reading a few comments here as well..in a bit of hurry so could not respond to posts on specific comments but will try to summarise my perspective on the episode
Sorry.. if it is a bit contrarian to the posts which have largely been in agreement of how the episode was.
I don't mean to put a contrarian view per se on the episode which was along expected lines.. Mundit arriving and if Sam did not react as was expected would be terribly odd so no issues with the way the episode shaped up. Yet, something was missing for me and since I look at writing and directing largely I was not satisfied as a viewer..
Why? It's a bit difficult to explain but I will try. For me the transformation of Sam in the first place was rushed or more than rushed i would say it was a bit wishy washy...while as a concept I completely sold on the fact that Sam was torn between what he had left behind and what he was forced to confront in a new place. So Sam, wanting to belong to this new group was understable... the CVs missed a great opportunity after the cigarette pack search event to highlight Sam's mental state... it was not a thing to be explained by a VO but even accepting it for the story's sake, I expected the repentance or say the shame that Sam felt to be more impactful in the flow of the narrative but somehow it felt incomplete... 😕
I expected Sam to display a sense of shame or should I call it nervousness on seeing Munna and Pandit discovering what Sam was up to. I found it very strange that he seemed at ease.. I expected the writer director to convey the unease in the moment far better than the way it turned out. The slap though timed well I found Sam capitulation a bit too sudden even if welcome. After all, Samundit were all part of the whole bet charade... the aspect of how their own journey had taken them to value sentiments had to figure somewhere in their reflections. I wished they had not rushed that scene... wished a few flashbacks had been used in the narration.

YASSS! I concur fully but I wasnt going to write about it. Thanks for bringing this up.
Sam's realizations are always at lightening speed. 😆
Rekha, this is how I felt about his realization of being in love too and the next episode.. it was rushed. I can't explain so please dont ask me to... though I still owe you a reply from that thread few months ago😳
I am unwell is my excuse for the day 😆

Amazing post as always ❤️
I typed out a huge long reply but I don't know what happened and my whole edited post got deleted. This is why I like to log in from my laptop and not my phone 😭
Really sleepy now but I just want to say a few things -
It's wonderful to see that Naina has finally found a balance. She is focusing on her work now but the dreams of Sameer also continue. The whole dream sequence was beautiful!!
I can't wait for Vishakha to find out about Samaina. I think that'll be the real bonding point for her and Sameer. Today's little scene where Sameer is thinking of Naina and Vishakha questions was nice. Hoping to see more.
I like how Sameer decided to call Naina first before calling his stupid friends
Munnas slap was the best part of today's episode. Much needed. I love love love Mundits love and care for Naina! They know she's faithful and deserves much better.
Even I felt that Sameers realization was a bit too rushed. But then again maybe it just goes to show that Sameer wasn't too far gone into the bad side, and he just needed a little wake up call. In fact we've seen that he's been shown being a little uncomfortable, especially with watching that film. Glad he's back on track now, and I definitely agree that it was great seeing Munna and Pandit being the ones to make him realize his mistakes rather than Naina.
The thing he said about what it means to be a real man was great- shows what he truly believes in.
I honestly cannot wait till tomorrow's episode when Dadi will try to look for the bottles and film but there'll be nothing there! 😉 😆
As for the precap- I think maybe Naina will confess about the letter being hers. Idk I think she wouldn't let Shanti mam take the blame for her.
Lovely post and caps Nivi.
Nice episode.
One of the screenplay writers changed again. 😊
Beta CVs, lage raho Dilli walon ka kachra karne😡
Rohan got more dialogues and what did he say? Commented about Delhi girls dressing up in flashy clothes😕 that was quite random!
O bai, Bobby darling romantic mood mein😆
Wigi dadi said to Vishu 'Sameer humare liye Rohan aur Deepika se kam thodi na hai' in the episode when Sam is returning from Ahmedabad after Rajiv Gandhi's assassination. Today she says only her family is invited to the party making Sam's status clear. 😕 *not complicated* actually.
Another thing I remembered from the same episode, the man wanted to lock the PCO booth from where Sam was calling Naina, there was no glass on the door, it was just framework on 3 sides😆 Why was he locking it?😆
