The summer drinks of that era!!!

Guyz I dnt knw hw many are aware about this bt ppl in Maharashtra m sure must b knowing abt this!!!

With many other things of 90's even drinks of that era was something worth remembering...no doubt nw v hv variety of food...much better than that era...bt yet charm of that era was different!!

1. The ice gola- V yet get this ice gola...bt it does nt have that feel...infact now days v hv variety of gola...malai gola n all...bt yet vo rs.2 ka ice gola with kalakattha n orange flavor mix cn yet do wonders...what a rs.150 malai gola cannot do!!

2. Pepsicola- nw I dnt knw hw many knw abt this...we use to get 25 paise k pepsicola having different flavors orange, rose etc... Pepsicola was basically water n this flavour iced I.e kept in freezer...den after that v had milk ka pepsicola...milk n flavor iced together...v use to get milk ka pepsicola at rs.1...I yet remember I use to fight with that shopkeeper for pista flavour!!!

3. The goti soda:- Now a days we get soda frm that soda machine...bt the goti soda is very rarely seen...I use to drink goti soda just to see that seller breaking that bottle...he never needed any opner to open the bottle his fingers did wonders...n that "tak" voice when he opened it...I use to drink soda for that!!!

We yet get all these things...bt I guess we use to njoy all these in that era more!! Nw even these things have improvised these drinks hv also changed into sophisticated drinks!!!

So guyz what are ur memories about food of those days...plz share!!

P S.:- I just recalled those days n sharing about it today bcz after ages today I had milk Wala pepsicola...my brother has bought for me a whole 2 packets of milk pepsicola- pista n orange...40 pepsicola in each packet!!!

Ice- gola and Pepsicola being my super fav...I remember in summer vacations I used to visit my Grandpa's place in Gandhinagar and our native place is a 2-3 hrs drive from Gandhinagar...And ice-golas of our native place were a bit famous at that time and hence we used to have super-fun having golas there...My grandma being a bit strict used to warn me and allow me to have only one gola,but I used to take my grandpa in confidence and he would buy me 3 golas chupke se...😆...Good old days...

Suddenly some days back I saw Limca in a shop and I realized that I saw Limca after so many years...Limca was also very hit in 90s..but since past 5-7 years Limca sales are completely down...I used to like limca...obviously mom-dad used to not allow us to have cold-drinks much...but kabhi kabaar chance mila toh I would love to have Limca...Limca book of records aur Limca ke magazines and comic books bhi aate the...

Maharashtra mein there is this thing called as 'Neera/Neer' drink kiosks...specially in Pune...it is juice from a coastal palm fruit...If anyone from MH they might be familiar with it...it's also quite refreshing...

I live in Pune...yes neera...hw did I forget abt it...u yet get neera in every Gali(roads) of pune...till date it is my fav...before I use to drink a lot...nw days atleast once in summer to it has to b!!!N plus this neera was always allowed by parents bcz neera was good for health in summer!!!

N yes limca...yes the sales hv gone down I also use to like limca...even fanta sales hv gone down...fanta was another fav of mine...I remb v use to get rs.7 ka bottle that glass bottle which v HD to return...I use to love fanta... Mummy use to gv me money to buy some vegetables every Sunday n I use to spend it on fanta!!!

And home made drinks like Rasna and ruh af ja.

And yes Neera Kendras are everywhere in every galli in Pune...and yes pehle frequently peena hota tha par ab once in summer...abhi thodi aur garmi hone do then I will buy it ...maza aayega...Mom Dad allow karte the Neera 😆

And I remember when Fanta was launched it was a hit ...infact unhone Green Apple Fanta bhi launch kiya tha ...that was good...and remember Blue Pepsi...it was literally called Kerosene' by boys for fun 😆

Omg u also a punekar...wah wah the world is actually small!!!

Blue pepsi...the all time kerosene of boys yes yes I do remember...my cousin frm Mumbai use to come he was small n I had a gr8 time teasing him with that blue pepsi as kerosene...when he was small he never had it thinking actually it could b dangerous...n I use get it then!!!

Pepsi cola... 25 paise... i remember that very well... we used to ensure having the last drop of it..the double pepsi cola for 50 paise... 😊

And the goti soda... I can't remember what it was called though in my place.. not goti soda something else.. probably banta I think...
