@bold - Rekha, you made a good point with that. It was something I used to question in the earlier episodes. The narrative was kept one sided for a purpose and till the end Nanu did not meet Naina. If he had Naina would've become more aware of Sameer's background Truth is Naina still doesn't know what Sameer lost when he lost the headboy competition. She only knows the bet aspect, she still doesn't know the underlying reason. So yes, Naina needs to find out many truths... she needs a overhaul of her perspective. I'm curious to see how the CVs are going to bring that about... will it be Mundit who reveal it to her after Sameer leaves in anger? That truthis what will make her grow up and share equal emotional responsibility in their relationship. Until now its Sameer who has taken a giant share of the responsibility. It started after the bet when he decided to get Naina back and assume responsibilityfor their relationship, but now Naina needs to become an equal partner... Sameer will need that support even more. Its like Sameer has almost cocoonedNaina in his quest to keep her happy. Also, when Naina was reading that letter she glossed over the portions where he talks about his loneliness... its as if that aspect has somehow not registered with her. She intuitively focusedmore on the parts thatproclaimed his love and his impending visit... I would've thought she would lament about how alone he was, but that didn't come at all...
Aarti,
I probably wrote this elsewhere...
Every story has a point of view...or a story narrated from a certain perspective. It's a given the perspective the story narrates will have the greatest graph..in this case it is a story from Naina's point of view so aspects will unravel as time goes along.
I know a lot of discussions happen around Naina...the bet, the stealing , her somewhat insular world etc but in my view this is the most interesting aspect of the journey... if it weren't so... this story would be so boring.
Sameer's world has a weak support system in his mom because as Nanu said Naina will be his saathi...
For her to become his saathi... she will need to know him well. Rewind back to the convo... Naina and Samee have after the scooter incident ... Sameer Maheshwari tum jaan lo.. Naina Agrawal will doston ki dost hain ( she said it with a narrow perspective but her vision will broaden)
I look at the paper stealing event revelation as a cathartic event in Naina's life. I don't know how the writers plan to show it but I see it as an event that changes Naina more than Sam. He has lived its fallout already...it is Naina who will feel it more...In that convo with Sameer she said I now know you are not responsible for the theft but Naina never owned up to why... The sequence of events will hereon show us how she will own up... ( hopefully)
