PART 4 A

Preeti and Naina after a lot of attempts , were able to devise a perfect plan . Accordingly , the next day preeti hands over the form to Rakesh and asks him to let arjun participate in the cricket match to be held there as it would serve as a great opportunity for him to show case his skills in front of other panels as well . Rakesh was convinced with what she said but instantly turned red when she asked him to let naina also accompany him for participating in dance / singing competition. He screamed at her for letting such thoughts occupy their mind instead of focusing on studies . Preeti was determined, she reasoned that since it's a new city , they would require help to settle down things , make food and do other chores as the competitions would continue for at least a week. She was supported by bela who praised naina and her skills . Preeti then gave her final stroke by saying that also vacations are coming and there will be no loss of studies . She pleaded him to such an extent that rakesh without any other thought ordered Arjun to fill the form and with his usual rude tone asked naina the same .

Naina was overwhelmed with the success but as preeti sacrificed her chance , she was annoyed with her. Preeti assured her by saying that for her , dance is just a pass time but naina has skills to perform and for accompanying her she don't need to participate . Naina was confused but preeti asks her to keep faith In her with her usual wink .

The days passes by with dance/ singing rehearsals and cricket practice going on in full swing . Naina with a lot difficulty managed to hide this thing from sameer . For hiding one lie , she had to cook up a story to fill the gaps and she was surely not enjoying this at all .

Four people stepped out of the train after a long journey . Two faces radiated tiredness while the other two beamed with some unknown glow .

" nainaaa someone sreamed and the four faces turned to see the sound of the source

" hi naina, mai amrita ...pehchana muje ? and she forwarded her hand for a hand shake .

" hii amrita " naina shooks hand with her , surely not expecting her here .

" naina yeh kon hai han ? tune yahan bi dost banakar rakhe hain ? padhai vadhai mei dil ni lagta kya tumhara ? rakesh almost screamed

" arey arey uncle chill ..naina or mai toh bas pen friends hain ...mahine mei ek baar toh humari baat hoti hai...aap kyu delhi ki garmi ki tarah garam ho rahe hai? amrita answered rakesh in her cool mode and winked at naina . Naina understood that rohan have sent her to welcome them . Preeti and arjun just looked onn and tried to suppress their laughter at the last sentence.

Rakesh throws an angry stare at her which amrita ignores and asks them to follow her , being a guide she would help them to locate their place of stay . Rakesh denies her help but on arjuns insistence he agrees .

Since rohan was managing all the work related to competitions , he was elated when he received forms from Ahmedabad but seeing arjun's form instead of preeti's ,his face fell . How much he was waiting for her to come , to spend time with her but then all his dreams were crushed . Little did he knew that where there is preeti , nothing is impossible.

Very cleverly , he had planned the stay of them near the SOMANI MANSION . Rakesh's eyes were dumb folded on seeing the flat they were given . It was a 2BHK . The accommodation of the participants were mostly in the school hostel but since rohan was given the responsibility , he had given them a special stay, which was meant for some participants only.

Amrita helped them in understanding the things which were new to them and in return asked to allow naina and preeti to come to her house for spending some time . Initially rakesh was a bit apprehensive but after considering the help she had done ,he allowed them .

After taking some rest , amrita came to pick them up .

" naina tu yeh pehen kar apne sasural jaegi " asked preeti . Naina was wearing a cream coloured dress and had tied up her hair in her usual style ( same as on the first day of mount abu)

" han toh ..kya problem hai ismei ?

" kya problem hai ? heroine teri yeh puri dress hi problem hai " said amrita who has just came there

" kyu amrita ...achi nahi hai " now naina got worried .

" arey Romeo ki Juliet ...tu pareshan kyu ho rahi hai...tu chal mere saath ...abi tuje Madhuri bana dungi " and she almost dragged naina while preeti chuckled and followed them .

On reaching amrita's home , she unknowingly went to the window which has been the witness of the exchange of telephone. There she saw sameer's room adorned with curtains . She so wished to see him once and as the wish escaped her heart, the curtains were threw open .

Simultaneously, amrita pulled naina aside , giving her a small smack on head for trying to spoil the surprise . Sameer had appeared on the window calling amrita for asking about any call from naina. Though naina was not able to see his face, but listening to his voice gave her a tinge of happiness.

Amrita has almost emptied her almirah for choosing clothes for naina but naina was so choosy that she didn't like even one dress. The actual reason was the loud colours and the different styles which she has only seen in magazines or films . She never dreamt of wearing such kind of dresses .

Finally after a lot of insistence and scolding from the two girls , naina decided upon a one piece long, red colored, flared dress .The upper portion of the dress perfectly adorned her curves, fitting tighly till her waist and the flared lower part with some floral prints matched the headband that graced her freely swaying her . The short sleeves were the only problem that naina felt , otherwise the dress was perfect ,and suited her choice .

Naina for once wasn't even able to recognize herself in the mirror , she blushed at the reaction of sameer .

" preeti ...tune yahi pehnna hai ? asked amrita arranging the clothes back in almirah

" han kyu? Mera konsa vo sasural hai " and preeti chucked

" han han...tera konsa vo sasural hai...vaise ek baat bta doon apko...rohan usi ghar mei rehta hai " naina smirked

Preeti looked at her with " what do you mean " looks while naina winked

" ek minute...naina tum kya kehna chahti ho,...rohan or preeti ...

Preeti cuts amrita off " nahi nahi amrita...yeh pagal hai...kuch bi kehte rehti hai...chalo late ho rha hai "

And as she said the bell rang . " I think rohan agya.. and amrita rushed to open the door

" wah kya connection hai.. naina teased preeti while she made a face

" han vahi hai " amrita said while looking through the key hole . This made preeti jump from bed and she rushed to the mirror to give a final look to her hair and face . Naina raised her eyebrows at this while preeti ignored this .

Rohan entered " amrita ..naina agy? . Amrita smiled and took him to the room occupied by the two girls .

As they were about to enter , rohan's eyes fells on the person he was least expecting . His lips curves into a broad smile which was reciprocated by preeti accompanied by a pinkish texture on her cheeks .

Amrita and naina amusingly looks at the two souls who were experiencing different emotions and feelings, unknown to them .

Naina coughs breaking their trance and rohan shifts his eyes to naina while preeti just looks down ,smiling sheepishly . Rohan greets naina and preeti , after that asking them about the forms and arjun . Naina briefly describes him the whole drama they have created , very cleverly detailing the preeti's part and her emotional drama . Preeti was red with embarrassment while rohan smiled inwardly on knowing that its not only him, but she too wanted to come to delhi ...maybe to meet him .

Brushing off the thoughts , he leads the two girls towards the somani mansion . Naina was feeling her heart beats thumping louder and louder with each step while preeti was enjoying all this , waiting to meet the rest of sameer's ...or you can say rohan's family.

As they reached the main door , rohan opens it ,revealing them the big hall . They entered , naina felt the same shiver in her body that she felt when she had entered sameer's nanu home .

Preeti was busy in adoring the house while naina's eyes only searched for him . Rohan breaks her trance saying that he had gone somewhere with his friends so he leads them to the sitting area where dadi was taking her music lessons . Naina and preeti greets her with a smile as she was busy rehearsing and they didn't want to disturb her while dadi just passes confuse looks . Rohan asks them to wait while he goes to the kitchen to call his mom and to order Keshav for some snacks and juice.

Naina and preeti were having a hard time in controlling their laughter on listening to dadi's voice, naina wondered how sameer , the one who could laugh at any small thing would have managed to control himself .

Naina and preeti passes each other helpless look . When rohan arrives with his mom ,they stands up and naina without realizing touches her feet , much to Vishakha's surprise but she smiles and blesses her.

" tum naina ho na ? asks vishakha...caressing her face ..naina nodds

" or tum preeti " she looks at preeti , who then comes forward and touches her feet like naina

" namaste aunty " preeti says as she bends down , vishakha blesses her too

" muje dono pasand hai " says vishakha as she looks at their faces dreamily

" han ? asks rohan shocked " kiske liye "?

" mm..mera matlab hai...mere sameer ne kitne ache dost banaye hai Ahmedabad mei ...tum kuch seekho usse...dosti se toh tumhara door ka koi rishta nahi hai.. says vishakha , rohan makes a puppy face while naina and preeti chuckles

Vishakha asks them to sit while dadi still continues with her lesssons

" acha mumma..sameer bhai ko nahi pta inke baare mei toh plz aap sambhal lo ..vo aagye hai bahar " rohan says as he watches sameer through the window . Naina's face instantly lights up , which goes noticed by vishakha . Preeti signals naina to control herself , naina composes but eagerness can still be felt on her face.

Vishakha smiles and leaves while rohan settles himself at the adjacent sofa of preeti .

" sameer beta...kuch guests aaye hai...tum mil lo zara vishakha asks a tired sameer. Although he was not tired, he was just frustrated as he hadn't talked to naina since two days . There were no signs of her call or letters . Apprehensiveness has started taking the place of concern now .

" nahi mummy ..muje koi interest nahi hai..mai bohat thaka hua hoon..abi apne room mei jaa rha hun sameer says, he just wanted to avoid any communication right now . But as he walks towards the staircase , sameer stops by himself with some unknown force . He feels some familiar fragrance surrounding him .

" Sameer ek baar mil lo na beta "

Sameer nodds in return and as his steps moves towards the sitting area , he felt some tickling sensation in his stomach " yeh kya ho rha hai muje...muje aisa kyu lag rha hai jaise naina...nahi nahi naina yahan kaise ho sakti hai " his brain worked at these thoughts.

Sameer steps inn and words left him . Naina and preeti almost jumps from their place on his arrival . It took a second or two for him to digest the sight before him, even though she is right before his eyes, larger than life. Then he felt his lips stretch wider into gaping grin. "She's here his heart bought him back . He stared into those black orbs , which seemed as if they would shed tears if he held her gaze for one more minute . He breaks the eyelock by closing his eyes , trying to control the emotions , trying to control himself from taking her in his embrace as his mind was active enough to register the surroundings . Naina understood what his act meant . She too tried to act normal on seeing the glaring eyes of his dadi , and confused Vishakha who has just came inn , confused b'coz she expected him to jump with joy and here he is just standing at the door , without a reaction .

But only naina knew , she knew what he is feeling right now . She could sense the contentment of his heart .

Sameer finally came closer , shifting his gaze towards preeti . They greeted each other with a silent handshake as preeti knew her words wont reach her jijaji right now . Sameer then noticed naina's new style . The long dress revealed her fragile body and curves , it looked like she had lost some weight . As she forwards her hand , not moving her eyes from his, he holds It like a delicate flower . His touch still runs down shiver through her spine , butterflies dancing in her belly . He could feel the effect he have on her , bringing a naughty smile on his face .

" kaisi ho ? finally he managed to speak , his voice a bit heavy with emotions .

" achi ..or tum? she replied , resisting from throwing herself in his embrace .

Sameer smiles and unwantedly let go off her hand as he saw his mother approaching them .

" Sameer ..tum poochoge nahi yeh yahan kyu aay hai " vishakha asked cheerfully . Sameer nodds in a "no . It doesn't matter to him why she is here, what matters is that she is here , with him . The presence of her by his side, which he was craving for so many days.
