Nia! Pehle to terribly sorry for this super duper late reply...I took some time to read the past few updates n then to comment upon them. I always wanted to type out a big fat reply for each, but then life has really turned hectic for me...
So I'll start with where I left off...the bet revelation was as expected sad...but what touched me the way Sameer realized just before that he was in love with Naina...you are my light...the hill convo is my personal fav! And then Naina's anger on Swati...thinking she chose love over friendship...which she kind of did..
Sameer's guilt n pining for her...n then never getting a chance to explain...Nanu's death n Naina sealing their separation fate for a while by leaving for Delhi...she wanted him to come, believed that he would come...but post that...she only listened to her mind. I love how you've represented an alter story here with Sameer already being in love with her..Naina's guilt for being unjust to Sameer was heart wrenching...if only she'd asked for an explanation...how lack of communication complicates things...Sameer's belief that she would come back...
The courtroom scenes were epic...I cried...no jokes here as Naina paced ahead n rapped Malhotra for declaring Sameer guilty without any proof..
I was reminded of that movie...Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor...kya naam tha yaar...the movie like your story represented the side of a man accused in a physical assault case.
After all, being a man doesn't make one guilty...image n respect are same for both genders...kudos to u for bringing it out...I loved how the love brimming deep down was rekindled as their eyes finally locked...I was hoping Naina would run n kiss Sameer fair n square...obviously imaginative...but this is what your update made me do...feel good n romantic n hopeful of a reunion of estranged lovers!
Love,
Sur
