I get that the kids obviously didn't know about Nanu being ill etc but he has just passed away and nobody else in this house is bothered about it...? Then again, Vishakha herself is so calm and composed and happy, I doubt she ever even talked about her dad to her kids. What bothers me is that Sameer is going through so much emotional turmoil and she's so uncaring that her Rohan baba's schedule is more important to her than the fact that her dad died? Did she actually have any empathy for her father? Or after so many years of being away, it has just become a fact of life for her?
I had thought that nanu's death would have brought the two closer, Sameer being able to confide in his mother and she can share her grief with him. But she clearly doesn't care so Sameer becomes a burden rather than anything else.
In any case, it's very clear Vishakha has little say in the house so she's going to be of absolutely no help to Sameer. I hope at the very least, for his sake, she sends him back to his own house...I don't understand why on earth he needs to go to boarding school?? He was doing just fine in Ahmedabad...and they don't even have to care for his expenses or anything since Nanu must've left everything in Sameer's name. He can hire as many servants as he want, live whatever way he wants and the Somanis don't ever have to hear from him again.
This is one of the few situations where I feel cuttung off all ties is the best way to go...Sameer already has all the love he wants from Mundit, Naina and the Agarwals - who I am sure will love him so much he will never be lonely!
