Some ramblings here..
Personally I have mixed feelings about the way they have handled the two tracks..I don't have issues with the distinct moods of the two tracks becos it was both a necessity as per the logical flow of the narrative and imperative from the aesthetic flow of the narrative to showcase the differing emotions..
Logically becos Naina and Sameer are in different places so it had to be shown and as for the differing emotions it is a reminder that no matter how connected you are, life is lived in the moment. Technology can aid the process of connectivity but cannot change the course of happenstance or destiny. Naina being with Sam could have soothed him but cannot reverse the path of destiny..
Coming to my nitpicking is the lazy writing for the village scenes...the CVs set up a track for Kuldevi pooja and I dont recall any mention thereafter of it...the scenes while written with a touch of humour which is ok but it seemed too much of an effort for a commentary on village life...Somehow it did not glide well and every scene looked like a filler..as I said for me it's a nitpicking issue but i am saying this since there was such great thought to the authenticity of the Nanu funeral track... the other scenes jarred not in its intention but in its execution.wish they had shown a sequence with some greater depth even while they incorporated the humour..
I am so glad the CVs kept the Nanu scenes so relatable... Sameer was flitting in and out of his acceptance of the death...so natural for one very affected deeply by a death.. Randeep aced the portrayal... loved the nuances..
On Somani... the jury is still out for me. I wont say that he will not manipulate the situation to his advantage..He will most likely assume Sam to be irresponsible and so would try to dissuade any attempts for the business to be handed over to Sam but not necessarily as a plotting thing... can't say for sure until the dynamics with Dadi is known.
Hard pressed for time so not able to comment more on the other fab posts in the thread!!!
