Couple of things (I do like making lists!! I am a nerd!)

1) I still remember when I accidentally touched my hybby's hand during college days. We were just friends then, not yet dating. We were walking towards our college, with couple of other friends. We were talking about something intently, I was wearing a brown salwar-kameez which was shapeless...I was literally drowning in that! He was I think wearing a greenish-mehendi colored shirt. And then it happened. So, I guess it was big deal then. To touch.

2) Holding hands symbolizes so many things...its an assurance, its love, its a desire...

3) All through the sequence, the song in the background was 'Tu meri zindagi hai...'. He was looking at her like she is the answer to his every question. There was intensity today, a new level of which was not seen before from Sameer. He is way ahead in in his desires.

Hi Nivi... seems like I missed reading your post so I am late to respond.

Just adding my two pence on the para you have mentioned about the bharosa angle!!
I personally did not see it as a bharosa angle per se...you remember, the previous day I said I don't like to preempt any thoughts about how a particular scene is intended to be played out until it actually plays out becos it kinda clouds our vision of what the writer perhaps intended to say through that scene. We may take several interpretations of a scene but what stands out is the writer's vision in the end.

Just a precursor to that scene...Sam had been looking to hold her hand and he received some impetus in the form of Pandit the earlier day about bharosa..Pandit was used in the next day's scene tbh only to extend that
attempts from Sameer..as if he had bought into that belief that a girl will feel comfortable only if they held hands...I put that down to their age talking!!

However, when the actual scene happens...you will notice it's a almost an instinctive reach out for support..Naina's voice over does not dwell on the magnitude of the minute as much as its circumstances
in jest as if to say... lo dekho.. pehli baar hua bhi toh kaise... 😆

Personally one of the interpretations I saw in that scene was just a juxtaposition of what we build as a dream and how reality could be different yet meaningful. Another interpretation I saw was of the old and new... in the old scene... she was testing him presuming that if he held her hand..he was trustworthy yet the funny thing is Sameer would have held her hand but for Mundit's intervention; however would that proved anything? His heart was not involved at that stage!! In the scene yesterday.. Naina wasn't testing him but he reached out instinctively for help even as his energies throughout the hours earlier had been to hold her hand for a romantic purpose yet fate gave him that chance in a sorta twisted way but in the final analysis of this did it matter how it happened? The thing of purport was that they progressed to the next level in the relationship 😊

So if Nanu dies, Sam is only 17. He is not adult . So cannt look after the legal matters of business. So Vishkha is perhaps next in line to look after it till Sam becomes 18. We know Vishakha is always nachoing on Somani's isharas...so may be she will ask Somani to look after the business...and he may stop funding Pragati Vidya...and throw people out of job...so imagine Rakesh losing his job...😆😆 Waise bhi Rakesh had asked for 5 lakhs in front of Somani when he had gone chasing Sam to Nanu's house...so...may be Somani throws him out...

and post leap...Rakesh is sach much "naukar" at Maheshwari industries...😆😆

I enjoyed the first scene a lot... Since Mt. Abu, even before actually during the debate track, Sameer has said a lot to Naina about herself, and what he feels for her. He also also praised her a lot in front of a lot of people. So Naina knows what he feels and thinks about her. But this is the first time he is hearing her say what is in her heart... so I'm sure Sameer would've been elated to hear Naina talk so fondly of him, also respect him. 😃

The whole goofiness with the haath pakado and later after the haath pakado was cute... something only this couple can pull off without making it seem silly. 😃

Finally, the real haath pakado was to help Naina... how poetic that was! And the second one was just him placing his hand on her as a reassurance that he will be there for her. Again, the whole aspect of first touch was handled with sensitivity... So a romantic touch is still udhaar in this pyaar saga...😳

Sorry, been MIA all week... real duniya was too hectic. I read a lot of the posts here... and enjoyed reading all the different interpretations. 😃
