Awww... thanks for missing me! 🤗
Hubby was out of the country the last three weeks... so doing single mom duty. Had to catch up with work at night every day... all that running around caught up with me this week... barely had energy left to type anything.

All the episode were s precious this week... and so unique... ILU, the 'first' bike ride... I even enjoyed the cricket match a lot... was so happy that Sameer was not being mahaan or sacrificing, but volunteered to help because he was the only one who could do it at that time... glad the CVs kept everything logical and befitting a teenager. 👍🏼

True, Sameer was not sacrificial or anything, it was pretty logical the reasoning they gave. But, Sameer was desperate to help his saala, it was pretty evident he was trying hard for sasur and saala to like him😛

Even the Pooja wedding,he was not made mahaan, there were so many articles on how Sameer will save the wedding and all. Nothing of that happened.

Aarti I actually thought of it because of all the humiliation and the emphasis on the word "naukar" several times during Sam's Naukar stint at Agarwals...Didn't even think of EK...😆 I have decided to avoid EK shows like people avoid plague. 😆

It is really bothering me that Rakesh and Arjun got away with all bad deeds...paper stealing is a cirme. CVs gave a very wrong message.

Don't watch EK shows either. Infact I'm watching an Indian show after a gap of 3-4 years.

@bold - I know. i hope their day of repentance will come. In real life, someone who takes shortcuts will one day face the consequences. SO I hope Arjun will face that too... he's not going to have a Sameer (or even Rakesh) to put the blame on or pick him up each time he falters under pressure. At some point he will be caught, like how so many sports persons are caught for doping... I sincerely hope that's what the CVs have in mind that Arjun will learn a bitter life lesson someday... and Rakesh too.

OR

As Arjun's sports career moves forward, he will discover that the pressures of maintaining a top form are high... he may buckle under that. If his bond with Shefali has become strong by then, she may influence him to stop pursuit of that, but still make a career by coaching cricket or something... just like in that car ride, he may eventually separate himself from Rakesh and make a life with Shefali.

So, don't which way the CVs will take, but I do hope one day they show the audiences the consequences of cheating/ picking the easy route.

@bold - Yes, he was. But he thought that would mean playing alongside with Arjun and encourage him to play his best. At no point did he think about sacrificing for Arjun...👍🏼 To me that was a huge thing... But of course Arjun (even Rakesh) didn't want any advice from Sameer... and Arjun once again picked the sneaky route... one which bordered on being illegal without actually being one, but was definitely unethical and unsportsmanlike.

What I really liked was Sameer's outburst to Naina... she simply acknowledged her brother and father were wrong without defending them... that was a first for her to openly agree to Sameer that he was right... no further explanations were needed.

That's trust right there... he trusted her enough to explode in front of her about her family's worng doing and she simply let him know that he was right but she has no control over her family's actions (as of now). He clearly saw that she believed him, understood his POV and even accepted it. She didn't try to convince him that he may be mistaken about her brother's actions...

As for Naina the moment she understood that Arjun had used underhand tactics she ran to Sameer... She knew Sameer would need her more. That and the way she pacified him allowed him to cool down quickly.

They both instinctively know how to handle each other when the other is angry or worried or upset. 👏 To me this match set the tone for the next track... the track where Naina comes to know a lot more about Sameer. It's been due for a long time and I'm glad the focus shifted to it from last Monday.

Just adding my two pence on the para you have mentioned about the bharosa angle!!
I personally did not see it as a bharosa angle per se...you remember, the previous day I said I don't like to preempt any thoughts about how a particular scene is intended to be played out until it actually plays out becos it kinda clouds our vision of what the writer perhaps intended to say through that scene. We may take several interpretations of a scene but what stands out is the writer's vision in the end.

Just a precursor to that scene...Sam had been looking to hold her hand and he received some impetus in the form of Pandit the earlier day about bharosa..Pandit was used in the next day's scene tbh only to extend that
attempts from Sameer..as if he had bought into that belief that a girl will feel comfortable only if they held hands...I put that down to their age talking!!

However, when the actual scene happens...you will notice it's a almost an instinctive reach out for support..Naina's voice over does not dwell on the magnitude of the minute as much as its circumstances
in jest as if to say... lo dekho.. pehli baar hua bhi toh kaise... 😆

Personally one of the interpretations I saw in that scene was just a juxtaposition of what we build as a dream and how reality could be different yet meaningful. Another interpretation I saw was of the old and new... in the old scene... she was testing him presuming that if he held her hand..he was trustworthy yet the funny thing is Sameer would have held her hand but for Mundit's intervention; however would that proved anything? His heart was not involved at that stage!! In the scene yesterday.. Naina wasn't testing him but he reached out instinctively for help even as his energies throughout the hours earlier had been to hold her hand for a romantic purpose yet fate gave him that chance in a sorta twisted way but in the final analysis of this did it matter how it happened? The thing of purport was that they progressed to the next level in the relationship 😊

Sorry if I rambled 😆

Hi Rekha

Thanks for the beautiful explanation!

My problem was with Pandit's interference and insistence actually more than bharosa or no bharosa. If Sameer had done the attempts to touch all by himself I would have loved it and then the reality vs dream what you mentioned would have been more awesome. Guess, like someone else also said, teenage boys tend do this !

Yes, when it happened both of them didn't even realize what had just happened 😆
