Z,
Sorry for making another post.

I just thought of something else.

Safari suit has mastered the art of being an eternal victim. This mindset always makes him distrust the people around him and their intentions. He cannot see anything beyond his woes of being a victim.

Mini Safari is also following the same 'Victim-Mindset'.

People like them never go far in life. Yes, things might have happened in the past. But you cannot still live there. Somewhere along the way you need to move forward.

Another classic symptom of the this mindset is that they expect everyone cater to their needs, they want others to do their work. And if something goes wrong, the blame will be always on the others, they are above everyone and above any mistakes.

I have seen people in my own family behave in such a way.

Love
Kshithi

Arjun's character has always been portrayed as a weak character .A person who has no say whatsoever or have an opinion other than his father. I mean he doesn't even have a say in what to eat or what clothes to wear for his sister's wedding. I personally don't want Shefali to be with such a man who takes all his decision based on what his father wants him to take and also don't want Shefali to be the one to make his at least a little self independent or reliant as I don't want her to loose her spunk which is bound to happen if she stays between Arjun and Rakesh. Arjun should himself realise his mistakes and have the courage to stand up to his own father.

I am not sure if any one would agree to what I have to say...I never thought Arjun had a character worth appreciating . Just because he was calm and blindly listened to his family especially his dad doesn't mean a person of good character. I have always felt he was "SELFISH" .

To begin with he doesn't have a stand of his own. That's the first thing any individual should have in life.
He loves his sister but when it comes to his need vs hers he chooses his . Never even thinks of her happiness. We all became happy seeing him apply medicine on her hand or him sitting next to her bed during the hospital scene. Fighting with Sameer to keep him away from Naina. But when ever his family has taunted Naina not even once as an elder he has stood up for her. When ever his dad insulted Naina he stood there as mute spectator. Where as Preethi does it with all possible force to protect Naina.

Again the paper issue , I actually didn't see much of guilt ..yes initially two days he felt bad rather I would see it as fear as that might be the first time he did it...later that was not there.

He got up from the wheelchair because Naina compared him with Sameer. If that comparison had not come out then probably he would have sat there. So if any one thinks that he came down for Pooja or family then you need to watch the episode once more.

Shefali was insulted by boys in front of him but he couldn't take a stand for the girl who was getting trained under him...seriously?? He could shout at her abt her dressing and how important it is to be disciplined to learn the game ...sadly he didn't believe in disciplining the boys . How chauvinistic is that ??

So for me from the day one he was never shown as a Hero Material ..I always saw more shades of Grey in him . In fact many a times I felt , Munna and Pandit are of much better character than Arjun.

I don't want to even compare him with Sameer. ... 😆

I really loved the way you wrote the way Arjuns character has progressed over time... 👏
I really am disappointed with the way he is on the way to becoming the next Rakesh Aggarwal

He just can't be doing wrong and always giving lame excuses in the name of father's reputation expectations and pressure... at some point you ought to take responsibility of your deeds which he never even thinks about😡

Also being at a wrong side you have the guts to bully a person who isn't saying anything just bcoz he becomes weak bcoz of your sister's love... otherwise he has the courage and ability to give him back👏

Shefali obviously won't ever think of spending her life with such a coward and escapist mentality person... so for me too... it's the end of their relationship... his character has been butchered horribly

Zulekha... as I said earlier in this thread a fab post.. slow death is the perfect description and sadly when they seemed to show so much promise.

I somewhere still get Arjun's frame of mind but the CVs are in my view not very successful in delineating Arjun's anger towards Sameer from his general state of mind. I felt there was some hint of it,very subtle... in that scene between Arjun and Rakesh where Arjun is trying to say a few things but somehow the finesse in that scene was missing perhaps due to lack of something which I can't clearly pinpoint.

Let me phrase how I read the scene...it was classic in its setting. Arjun wants to avoid confrontation or ideally wants it for himself because frankly the fight is between him and Sameer. He tries to dissuade his father but as usual Rakesh is dismissive of Arjun..if you guys notice Rakesh does not try to assuage Arjun about the situation but as usual talks down to him... which sets a chain reaction. Arjun uses the Head boy rant but typically I read it as a purposeful insert by the CVs... Arjun and Rakesh will also most likely have a confrontation at some stage...Arjun uses those words more to rile himself up like itching for a fight..

Unfortunately where the scene did not work was the CVs have not spent much time building on this aspect making Arjun very unidimensional. If I were writing these scenes I would focus on Arjun trying to use the Sameer Naina situation for developing a voice. It's like this..he has no voice otherwise but through this he is trying to prop himself up... creating a personality he can call his own
