I've seen a lot of comments of people who are calling him an coward etc but this isn't right.
Brothers should be very protective for their sisters, especially younger sister. So if a brother overhears a conversation about a boy making a bet to make his sister say 'i love u'.. then it's so so normal that he is going to hate that guy. Arjun doesn't know that this bet has made Sameer actually fall in love with Naina and how deeply he loves her. So the way he treats Sameer is a good thing, bcz it shows how much he cares about naina, unlike safari suit. He is treating him like trash bcz of what he did with Naina, not bcz of his injury. Try to understand his POV. He sees Sameer as a spoilt brat who had played with his little sister's feelings. He doesn't even realise how much sameer actually loves naina. He doesn't realise that Sameer is taking care of him with good intentions. He is not to be blamed
As for faking his injury, the only person who is to be blamed for that is safari suit. His father is constantly yelling at him for playing his match and to get selected. He just doesn't want to hear his father screaming and being all mental. Rakesh is unknowingly using arjun for his selfish reasons. Not bcz he loves his son but bcz he wants respect. He wants that everybody calls him a father of a famous cricketer.
He wants to be better/more succesful than his brother Anand. We all know that he is so selfish.
Arjun needs the guts to stand up against his father and shefali will make him do that. He is again not to be blamed. I think everybody will react this way if they have a father like rakesh.
