Munna pandit are good. But I guess we need just "Sameer time". Like you guys mentioned... It would be so nice to see him write a poem thinking of her. Sigh.

I was ok with confession n the resolve.. I was disappointed with the next episode.. after he met Nanaji. The dance sequence etc.

Still hoping for the red t shirt Wala scene. Were Munna n pandit n that scene too?

See.. Naina had been crushing on Sameer for a long while now, we were able to see it's progression, as each episode ran, with diff scenarios.. she basically fell head over heels over Sameer, and it honestly started because of physical attraction. In the case of Sameer, it was the opposite..

Sameer didn't see Naina in that manner because she wasn't attractive to him. He saw her as paraku, behengi type.. and Sameer being the modern type as well, never could relate to Naina, no matter how much care or obvious 'love' she had shown him before.. It was ONLY in Mount Abu, when he was getting sick, he first hand could see, witness Naina's genuine love and care for him. When she took care of him, covering him in blankets, giving him medicines. When she comforted him in his weak moments, that's when his eyes (and his heart's eyes) opened towards her! He didn't even realise he was falling in love with her, till much much later..! He in fact.. JUST realised it.. For him, it isn't "head over heels, mad and crazy" kinda love. His 'love' began or started out of respect for Naina, after understanding her character and appreciating her as a person well. So, you wouldn't see the kind of similar love in his eyes, same as you saw, depicted by Naina.

Also on top of that, him receiving a cold shoulder from Naina, just after his feeling realisation made him hold his feelings back. Naina's rude behaviour kinda acted as a 'turn off' to him. That doesn't mean he doesn't love her now.. but, it just means, his love for her isn't being watered yet..

For Sameer things are at a very intial stage.. where he is first time dealing with such feelings, and with such a girl who genuinely cares and loves him.. He wants to win her forgiveness first.. then slowly develop something.

Love is a two way street.. if Naina isn't gonna warm up to him, it is going to be difficult for him to express himself even when he wants to..

Anytime he tries to be soft with her or friendly.. he gets met with resistance from Naina.. any person would feel held back, when the person you love, you try to talk with, be warm with, but they are rude with you, you'd feel your emotions be stagnant.. on hold. So you can't blame him! He doesn't want to get hurt.. he is also protecting his heart!

Also, remember, when we are physically attracted to someone our eyes light up at the sight of them.. or when we have shared love and interest with that person. But when it's love found through personality.. it takes work to develop the relationship from both sides. Sameer fell for her goodness, not because of her looks. So, it's gonna be a diff kinda love notice, from him!

yeah, they completely lost the opportunity to cover something that it so relevant to their story and Sameer's transition from realisation to acceptance and acting on it..

words like Naina's boyfriend should have been shown running through his thoughts.. even if with an amount of uncertainty of the outcome.. but some wishful thinking!

At least show him gazing at their sunrise pics together! That moment was so beautiful! Their carefree spirits together.. and how they can bring out the best in each other..

Makes me wonder is this due to the change in director? Maybe the new one does not want to highlight some of the best stuff produced by the previous guy??

Hi
I will post here what I wrote in Saru's post.
It's just my opinion about this no intentions of hurting anyone here.

Totally awesome episode.
The way you wrote we can clearly see Sameer's love.
I don't know why some are saying that they don't feel Sameer's love.
He is personified love yaar.
Look at him he is doing all those things which he wouldn't have dreamed of.
His love is really unconditional. He just want to see her happy and smiling again.
I recall his confession he said he don't want her love, forgivness but he don't want her to live with the pain he has given her, that is the reason he is doing all those things.
And we can't ignore the fact that he is only 16yrs old first time fallen in love. He is bound to be confused little bit right?
We have seen Naina's love for him,but I don't know I always found her love filmy.
She fell for his looks, love at first sight.
Her main idea of love comes from films .ok later on she got to know him that he is not bad just misunderstood.( I know I am gonna get lots of punches for this)
If you look at her situation she don't have any role model in front of her when it comes to love.
Now when we look at Sameer he didn't fell for looks but the person she is beautiful inside out.
In fact he also don't have any one to look up to when it comes to love but now look at him he is in love and making amends for causing her heartbreak. He is learning from his mistakes.
And as such he is in her house just like he said Dushman ilaka where nobody wants him and hates him for hurting their Aadarsh Balak Arjun so how can he show love to her?
We can't forget that Bela and Taiji also there. You know they say women gets to know this kind of things very easily if something is brewing between two people.(personal experience)
If they get to know about them it will be more difficult for Naina than Sameer.
So right now he is in asking forgiveness and getting her happiness back mode I am completely ok with it.
May be after their mutual confession we will be able to see that intense and passionate love from his side also the way we have seen Naina's.
But for me his every action depicts love for her.
Sorry for the long post and I hope didn't offend anyone.
P.S. I loved Munna, pandit and Nanu. They truly are amazing and they really love Sameer so much.
He is really lucky in friendship department.

Very interesting points raised in this thread and some very engaging replies.
Just reiterating some of the points I felt were valid too.

I agree there were some interesting possibilities in the plot that were missed out by the writer perhaps. But I must confess I have never felt that Sameer's love is not expressed. Somehow, it was just woven subtly over days. I think they rushed through his realisation a little fast. One day he was saying, he wanted to make it upto his friend, the next day he stated he must feel like this because he loved her.

I am still not sure if Sameer himself knows the intensity of his feelings for Naina. If he did, he wouldn't declare that a smile on her face is all he wants. Of course, he must want more than that, he just hasn't processed what it is that he wants, because he has never thought about the concept of love prior to this.

Sameer not verbalising his feelings, or remembering those days with Naina- I look at it as a sign of respect for her feelings. Naina is hurting, due to those very same episodes...she curses those moments...and Sameer can't cherish them, unless Naina does too. All of it was not fake from his side, but Sameer can only remember the harshness of his betrayal, until Naina forgives him. One day he would have to tell her how exactly he felt through the journey, only then would Naina be able to recover those moments for both of them. I don't know if the show will review that chapter.

For now, Sameer can only hold on to the sweater as a token of her love for him. Any other memory would only make him feel the pain of Naina's suffering and make him feel guilty. He has done quite a bit of regretting for now, so I guess he wants her forgiveness first and foremost. He can't touch those memories or revel in his love, until Naina is happy too. But he will continue to blush when his friends or Nanu tease him. And give respect to her unreasonable father...and feel guilty whenever he accidentally brings up something from their past that hurts Naina. All that is love too.

๐Ÿ˜† Expect the unexpected! ๐Ÿ˜›๐Ÿ˜†

I would love to hear your pov.
All I can say is, when I watch yudkbh I don't put my thinker's cap on. The narrative flows quite smoothly. So, except for few things like wondering if nanaji can be real, turning love guru for his grandson... ๐Ÿ˜† And stare at that man called Raqesh Agarwal incredulously...๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ˜ฒ

Waiting for your thoughts. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Interesting thread...and interesting perspectives...๐Ÿ˜Š
I guess many of you are approaching this from the level you see this plot's development. You see that a guy has admitted to his love and then you don't see him behaving the way a guy in love of that age would ordinarily behave.๐Ÿ˜‰ so your sense of feeling that it's not all there is justified!!

Actually what Soup has said in this post is how I would describe Sameer's state of mind. Soup has beautifully processed Sam's mind ๐Ÿ˜‰

Just a few of my thoughts, a bit of it i mentioned in another post that Sameer has found his love like a prayer. something he may not have fought for but something like a serendipity ( hardly the best way to describe love๐Ÿ˜†) but that is what it has been. He wasn't even thinking about love when he admitted it to himself. I know many were a bit flabbergasted that he said that...for me it was a natural progression simply becos a guy like him was expected to own up to it only in that fashion...under duress, if you like๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†

He was a confused guy through the period of the bet which is why he was never able to commit to it or get out of it totally. in his arrogant moments he was assuring himself he was doing this for the bet, in his unguarded moments he was enjoying and basking in Naina's company; in his pensive moments towards the end, he was chiding his friends not to remind him of the bet and finally he was looking for an opportunity to come clean, before all hell broke loose.
If we were to string them all, a pattern emerges and that was his realisation that he was just not happy making her unhappy. Was it love yet? perhaps no...but it was a sure sign that she meant more to him than he was perhaps prepared to admit at that stage. His realisation episode made many question some aspects but for me it made complete sense becos I was watching Sameer grappling with the apology not like how one deals with an apology. He had turned the "sorry" into an event; as if it was not just an unburdening from his end but a sort of a ceremony. He wanted it to mean something but himself not sure what he was expecting. He was shocked at the turn of events and his realisation of what Naina meant to him came to him like a Eureka moment. Their unique circumstances always meant that the guilt and love will be somewhere enmeshed and that is Sameer's cross to bear for now.

So Soup is right when she says, he is likely to process it all only when she is in a happier state of mind.

Like Naina, Sameer did not grapple with the concept of love. Naina verbalised the feeling to the extent that anything less than that will now not look love. ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜† Benchmark is very high...but Sam will topple it and how!!๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†
