There r 2 questions in minds of many!!

1)Why did naina dint five sameer the sweater

2)And why she dint talk about the Rakesh incident while giving him the sweater

Well my take on this is

She wasn't confident of he liking the sweater and also they had bring the sweater at Sameers breaking point!

So from a story pov now after Rakesh incident it gave Naina confidence that Sameer accepts anything her..so sweater which she probably thought might have been inferior as per his standard ...but after the incident it instilled confidence in her to give him the sweater!
And from drama galore pov they had to get sweaters entry at the right time as the last nail in Sameers guilts coffin!!

The second question as to why Naina dint say anything about the beating up incident:
I would say it was rather a matured act
She gathered courage to meet him despite this incident give him the sweater and came prepared to say ILU!! Doesn't it show how sensitive she is to his hurt rather than a 5 minute dialogue baazi ki tumne mere liye kyonkiya and all that... there relationship is more emotions and feels rather than dialogues or explanation...hence I quite liked that she dint bring up the incident but showed with her act of coming to him giving the sweater and saying I love ...to show how much she acknowledges he standing up for him..totally my pov!!

Thoughts?

Even I had the same doubt...I thought naina will at least say a sorry...but I guess they didn't feel there is need for it...becoz naina was ready for accepting mistake and it was him who didn't allow her to do so...

About sweater giving...they have probably planned that for the last twist...I think sometimes we should forget about logics...it happens...afterall kuch tho karabhi bhi honi chahiye na... warna nazar lagthi hein...

I think the sweater and the ILU was her way of saying sorry and thank you!

Naina was quiet because Sameer asked her to be quiet...most women show that level of silence when stopped by spouse...I found this as a very husband and wife behavior...though she didn't think that he would take all the blame on himself to save her image in front of the society...and Sameer did that because for her ...she is his family and ladki ki izath ghar ki izath hain... Sometimes men have to take such bold decision to save the image of the lady the love...

This is the difference betwn Arjun and Sameer...Arjun couldn't stand by Shiffali when those boys made vulgar comment on her...but look at Sameer he saved her image in front of the society and also from getting beating her dad...That's called being a MAN!!

Naina's gift of sweater to Sameer is her love ...and he understands that ...when the relationship starts getting deeper you don't need words to describe your thoughts and feelings...even a glance will make ur partner understand the meaning of it...

Really well said...Arjun seems to be a good guy and Sameer a spoilt one as per their reputation in front of others...given a chance, I would choose Sameer...as you said, he has the guts to protect his lady, his friends...taking such a blame on yourself is something, especially for a teenager...such are the wrong stereotypes of our society...just because there is no one to defend Sameer, jiska man chahta hai use uske character n upbringing pe suna dete hain...poor lad...but the kid had enough sense to save a girl's honour, while her own dad never respected her or any female. Sameer is a gem...really
Nancycrio: Good post...I too hold Sameer on a much higher pedestal than Naina...and as u said he's turned out really well given the circumstances he's been bought up in...in the end...it is never about being from a rich or poor, good or bad family...but it is about one's own morals and values.
