Well, Indian TV works weirdly.. Story is not fixed so many times twist and turns are decided depending on audience response aka TRP and channel. So there is tinee tiny possibility that anythign can happen.
But personally, I strongly feel they will end up together. It is 90s pure, innocent in Naina's language massom and nirdosh love story so it is shadi wala pyar. There are many strong indications about it. eg. VO sais Nanu's accident changed their love story forever, that clearly means Sameer fell in love with Naina because of that (here path change means from not wanting naina in life to having naina in life).
Also, VO always says I got to know about it much later. Its definitely Sameer who told her. Why will Sameer tell her so many details if they didn't end up together? Even if you assume they are friends after their break up, it doesn't go with the theme. The theme and VO always criticise today's generation where love is not strong and people easily get over. That means, for the kind of person Naina is, she can not just love other person and can not forget first love. And if you can not forget, you will always be unhappy about it. VO is clearly happy and cheerful..
So I am 100% sure they will end up together. And if they don't CV definitely have changed their mind in between depending on TRP and it wont be preplanned. The planned story logically, from now should make them together.
Totally agree with all the points made here!
I think our biggest evidence is the VO of the show...the way she relates a lot of the stories, they sound better if you think Sameer and Naina eventually end up together.
@accident: That was a major turning point, and I think in more ways than one. First, of course Sameer saw how Naina threw away her chances of winning the debate and got punished - just to save his nanu. But we cannot forget the huge impression she has also made on nanu. He always thought of her as a good student, and now he is convinced she is a good human being. I think he will be one of their biggest supporters.
@details: Like you said, this wouldn't make sense if they weren't together few years from then. And if they weren't together, this point isn't important in her life.
In general, whenever VO talks about the shartwala baat, sometimes she's actually laughing as if it's a very funny point. Things are always funny in flashback if you're happy now...Plus she always talks about how Sameer is confused about her. That isn't important if he didn't end up with her!
I think the pehle pyaar thing is a nice point in the show - hindi serials are always talking about how pehla pyaar is the most important one but isn't the akhri pyaar more important? Sameer himself told his friends that he doesn't think of his previous girlfriend, so Naina shouldn't be too worried. I think Sameer summed it up very nicely, that they are two kids with the same pain (family issues) so they click better 😊😊
