many things r look before making head boy or head girl not just by exam and doing well in cricket discipline of student his or her attendance in school his or her character are also look while making head boy or head girl and I think those who r chosen for head boy or head girl their supporters do propaganda for them and I guess by voting head girl or head boy is choosen

This competition is absurd.The Head Boy and Head Girl are chosen by the authorities and teachers instead of students being asked who would like to take up the position and then having a competition among them. Also a Head Girl too should have been chosen.

In one of the school in the gulf in which I studied the head boy was selected based on the marks...the highest mark winning boy or the one was famous in extra curricular activities or a person who was excellent in communication skills was chosen as head boy by the authorities ...like wise the head girl also...

But in another school in which I studied in India ...our school headboy was chosen by voting by the students.Any one can conpete.They have to give speech and be able to gain votes from the students.The person with highest number of votes will win...

In both cases 10 11 ans 12th class can compete.
