Hey Sweetheart... Here I am... and thank you for reminding me that I never commented on this story after joining IF... I was truly horrified, it was like loving the rains but missing the chance of dancing in them. 😳

I cannot write couplets, even though this story deserves every bit of it... I would rather just say that "Holding It Together" held my heart... ❤️

I was captivated when I started reading it. I struggled for a para or two, my brows furrowed as I tried to match it up to the show, trying to find what track you were writing on. But when Naina entered dressed in petals printed frock, I went back to the beginning and re-read, this time my concentration on the words rather than connection with the show...

And as I read on I forgot everything... the flow was like a breeze, gentle and soothing. The touch of first love was intoxicating to read about - the confusion, the magnetic pull, the awakening of desire.

The search through corridors told me that they would search like this for each other always, never letting go... though the apology from Sameer did have the capacity to inflict pain, it was soothed the immediate next day by his concern and care... As the growling stomach was soothed with piping hot samosas, my heart was soothed with the bonding they shared.

The part where Sameer is raging but calms down as soon as his eyes meet hers is my favourite. Only love has that power to calm and soothe, and it was well detailed here. The broken art, the worry and concern, the urge to re-build helped the two form a new relationship... The way the scene was depicted was touching, it spoke of mending and healing.

After that they had to each other's, it was not a choice, but a rule, rule of heart. And so his heart said "His Naina", and so the colours matched of their attire... everything was in sync.

The same brother who warned of consequences of the forbidden tea, now joined hands with the forbidden for his sister's sake... I loved that.

The small nuances you add make my heart leap with joy - of his name sounding better and sweeter in her voice, the simple congratulations from him giving her a sense of achievement.

The dance was just like the song you chose, just like the rains - if it fulfilled the need of the school, it also somewhere fulfilled the need of the two parched souls. Dancing with a partner requires trust, and here their hearts were already beating as one - the drowning in eyes, the surrender, the twirls and embrace, the touches that flushed the skin - everything was simply perfect!

The self-made home-made supreme court, the resounding sound of slap, caused physical hurt at one end and was felt at the other. His wait to see with his own eyes and assure that she is fine, the glaring difference of the abuse at home and appreciation at school, the eyelock of just friends... aah... I don't have enough words.

The orphanage and playing with kids, that just touches my heart a little too much, maybe because I am so used to doing the same. 😳

The tuition classes were the best phase of Samaina's beginning and I always wanted to see a repeat of it, and still do... but the way you handled it is worth appreciation. Truly, no one could teach him better than her, and love gave her strength to try and find a way to help him. A little bit of courage brought such a beautiful outcome. The confession was unique... she wrote her heart out on a paper, and the very note landed with him, finally making him solve the equation his heart was trying to solve since so long...

Do you know what? I just realized that the day I joined on the forum, is the same day you added the epilogue to this story - 14 January, 2018. 😃

Such a perfect part this was... even though it ended with them going far physically, they were closer emotionally, and they separated with a promise, for a better future, only to be able to meet again for forever. His happiness on her success, the demand of saree, her innocence in still not knowing that she could demand and ask of him too, the understanding that something is off only by looking at clothes... Could it get any better? Oh, but it did. The lighting of diyas, the gift of a bangle, the shared kiss on the same piece of jewellery. Such cute romance. And the embrace of safety and security, of assurance of love... how could she not give and surrender, how could she not feel, how could she not seal the promise they shared. And she did... The sealing of lips was more than an intense moment... the pleasure and desire that awakened inside them, the overwhelming love that they poured in each other in an attempt to ease the aching pain of impending separation.

They parted with a promise of holding it together and forever... and same for me this story will hold my heart forever, for the words in this made me connect to the emotions of a person I didn't know, yet felt that I know... It was a feeling that words cannot do justice to... and I know that you understand it, because once we talked to each other we shared that connection, and I know both of us will also hold it together... forever... ❤️

Lots and lots of love from your soul sister... 🤗

Naina cried buckets in this for her love and my eyes turn mist with this love.❤️

A cricket match and already a spoiler that Sameer would lose the Head Boy competition,I tried to make both of them stay together and not tread on the nasty path of revenge and all.First love is always special and being loved by first love is like a slice from heaven. Not knowing how they would end up on show,I tried to create a bubble of my own happiness.😳Off the track it was,but glad that it connected. And this theme itself is a giveaway hint.😉

And as I read on I forgot everything... the flow was like a breeze, gentle and soothing. The touch of first love was intoxicating to read about - the confusion, the magnetic pull, the awakening of desire.

Our heart knows what mind defies...

Teenagers they are and fickle hormones at play..

He is just a rude brat, very well knowing what his words did to her.Food is something that connected them most of times. And I think still iss. From stealing Aloo Paratha to cooking Chopsuey..they have come so far and we too..🤗

And so his heart said "His Naina, and so the colours matched of their attire... everything was in sync.

Mere sawalon ka jawab do...He knew he has lost himself to her..😳

The same brother who warned of consequences of the forbidden tea, not joined hands with the forbidden for his sister's sake... I loved that.

Arjun was kept minimum here and he did what he was expected as a brother. He cares for his sister and hence would do everything to find her and rescue her.

Well didn't you like Kamya?😉

The small nuances you add make my heart leap with joy - of his name sounding better and sweeter in her voice, the simple congratulations from him giving her a sense of achievement.

The dance was just like the song you chose, just like the rains - if it fulfilled the need of the school, it also somewhere fulfilled the need of the two parched souls. Dancing with a partner requires trust, and here their hearts were already beating as one - the drowning in eyes, the surrender, the twirls and embrace, the touches that flushed the skin - everything was simply perfect!

Putting the song of rain in October month was definitely not in sync with nature's mood. But the place where HIT was conceived and first 3 parts were written is a small Cherapunji and yet the place where I feel loved the most. The place where you can't even think of seven deadly sins..No doubt HIT feels like a sweet school love story.😳

Me too love doing that and it feels great.😃

The tuition classes were the best phase of Samaina's beginning and I always wanted to see a repeat of it, and still do... but the way you handled it is worth appreciation. Truly, no one could teach him better than her, and love gave her strength to try and find a way to help him. A little bit of courage brought such a beautiful outcome. The confession was unique... she wrote her heart out on a paper, and the very note landed with him, finally making him solve the equation his heart was trying to solve since so long...

Reversible equation it always was..Only they thought it was unidirectional..I don't know if destiny brings to people together, but a notebook surely does.😳

Do you know what? I just realized that the day I joined on the forum, is the same day you added the epilogue to this story - 14 January, 2018. 😃

Oh wow..That was my sister's birthday.I had saved this to update on that day as a gift for her.She loves HIT like no other. Now I know soul sisters ainvayi nahin hein.🤗

Thank you darling..❤️

Stories are meant to be read and forgotten. But this one bringing someone so close to me was never expected. Some 7-8 parts can build relationships..may be thats why they say Master the words and you master the world..well for me..pour the heart in words and you would get heart in return.❤️

Lots and lots of love from your soul sister... 🤗

You have written pages of appreciation for me but a single line from a newbie will always be a treasure. My inspiration to every single piece, every single word...will be my light for eternity in writing world.😳

Thank you Sweetheart.Loads of love.

Sending hugs to my soul sister...🤗

Minu.

Hi Minu
I stumbled upon this story by chance. Infact thanks to Mou for commenting on it yesterday that I got to read another amazing piece of work.

Once again the title has my heart and I read all the parts in one go.

The way both had unspoken feelings in the beginning, Sameer's care , his admiration, him feeling her pain when she is being admonished by her father/Taiji...loved every bit of it.

Though the last part brought tears to my eyes, as the title says I just hope they hold themselves forever.❤️

I regret not reading this earlier...but as they say, der aaye durust aaye...so here I am Minu Di, reading stories by such a talented writer like you!
Chapter 1:-

Ah...those days! Thank you for reviving one of the best days of the show through your writing, Minu Di! Are you sure this is your first attempt at writing?

So Sameer is finally falling for her...and his dazes and reveries are a treat to the eyes! Naina's pain is clearly making Sameer very uncomfortable...ab aakhir dil ka rishta jo hai 😉

Oh bai! Taiji ka kuch nahi ho sakta!

Loved the vivid descriptions and the emotions your writing evoked, Minu Di! I can't wait to read the other chapters of one of the best Short Stories written on SamAina! 😃👏
