I must admit that this show caught my attention from the absolutely endearing and delightful promo itself..

2 weeks down and what is really impressive is how perfect is the presentation of the feeling and rush of having the first crush

I dont think I have seen something in detail before in any other show around it..it feels real and nostalgic whatever Naina goes through.

Each one of us have experienced it at some point or the other in our life and the fact that this show manages to vocalize those crazy, sweet, innocent feelings in the best possible manner, is an absolute win win for me.

I am watching it as yet with not much expectations, because good shows with fresh presentation hardly survive in this mad trp race..but I truly hope that YUDKBH continues to stay afloat with the way it is going right now..and no compromises are made in the process of churning out content as we go ahead.

yes its so right now ..the pace is ok..the softness of feelings..the scenes r not v in ur face..very subtle...n not sooo less subtle..just the right kind of warmth..i think they r getting it right weave by weave...it looks like they will get it perfect all the way..the directors n writers r handling it v delicately..lots of care 👏

I agree that the presentation of those feelings is quite sweetly and realistically done overall for that era, but I feel they get a little too indulgent about the dreamy song sequences sometimes...not every episode needs a random 90s song sequence with Naina mooning over Sameer...

The show has a languid pace in general which is sweet when they make 90s references but when they start to fill up some epis just with the song sequences of Naina mooning after him, it gets a bit repetitive...for me atleast.

Yesterday's epi was good though...the Mahabharat reference and how life just stopped in those days for it...haha...and Naina being happy just to drink from the same water tap as him...sneakily stealing his picture...these things atleast move the story a bit forward more than the song sequences.

They have potential but I do feel they should tighten up the scripting a bit or there is danger of getting a little too languid...I'm all for wallowing in nostalgia...it's a human tendency but even then it starts to get a bit much after a point if all you show is the same bit of Naina mooning after him every day...

Have to mention though that the family nok-jhonk is so on point and refreshingly done compared to the usual high voltage drama families...Chachi and Taiji ke little antics of trying to best each other...haha

Completely agree about the song sequences..

Those r the parts which I literally fast forward.
Other than that the pace goes slow sometimes but it's ok..

Ye UN dino ki baat hai😆

Yo Anu..I think they took your comments seriously..less or no moony song and dance sequences now😆

I am liking the way it is moving now..both Naina and Sameer are interesting characters to watch..I like how both are flawed and have their battles to fight at home..

I really really liked how Naina took her father's and brother's side and did not act like a blind eyed, obsessed teen..

Sameer also thankfully did not overnight become the headboy or the captain..he will have to work hard to get where he has to...

I absolutely enjoy the family scenes still..real, tadkedaar and fantastically enacted!

The only cliche is the step dad being the bad guy..lol anyway..thats fine..

how are you finding the show now?

yeah forgot to mention..actors playing Naina and Sameer are quite one note with their performance..
though what I do like about them is the fact that they are raw, kind of makes it more natural..than theatrical..though yes both can be very bland at times..

their styling though and their look is apt for the roles..

+++++++++++++++
older cast - FANTASTIC..they are all brilliant in their performance!👏👏

I prefer not to miss it at 10:30 on TV so that I don't miss the song,.. in yt it's just plain bgm or some other song

If you miss to watch on TV watch on SonyLiv the songs are not muted on the site.
