I must admit that this show caught my attention from the absolutely endearing and delightful promo itself..
2 weeks down and what is really impressive is how perfect is the presentation of the feeling and rush of having the first crush

I dont think I have seen something in detail before in any other show around it..it feels real and nostalgic whatever Naina goes through.

Each one of us have experienced it at some point or the other in our life and the fact that this show manages to vocalize those crazy, sweet, innocent feelings in the best possible manner, is an absolute win win for me.

I am watching it as yet with not much expectations, because good shows with fresh presentation hardly survive in this mad trp race..but I truly hope that YUDKBH continues to stay afloat with the way it is going right now..and no compromises are made in the process of churning out content as we go ahead.

I agree that the presentation of those feelings is quite sweetly and realistically done overall for that era, but I feel they get a little too indulgent about the dreamy song sequences sometimes...not every episode needs a random 90s song sequence with Naina mooning over Sameer...

The show has a languid pace in general which is sweet when they make 90s references but when they start to fill up some epis just with the song sequences of Naina mooning after him, it gets a bit repetitive...for me atleast.

Yesterday's epi was good though...the Mahabharat reference and how life just stopped in those days for it...haha...and Naina being happy just to drink from the same water tap as him...sneakily stealing his picture...these things atleast move the story a bit forward more than the song sequences.

They have potential but I do feel they should tighten up the scripting a bit or there is danger of getting a little too languid...I'm all for wallowing in nostalgia...it's a human tendency but even then it starts to get a bit much after a point if all you show is the same bit of Naina mooning after him every day...

Have to mention though that the family nok-jhonk is so on point and refreshingly done compared to the usual high voltage drama families...Chachi and Taiji ke little antics of trying to best each other...haha

agree dear.
hoping this show maintain its trps..
Sony is famous for terminating shows with low trps but this show deserves to stay here with beautiful concept away from same saas bahu dramas.
hope Sony changes its time slot to prime time.

true...the presentation is so good that you can actually feel the butterflies in your stomach just the way naina does when she sees Sameer

SOny should focus on promoting their good concept shows rather than showing Crime petrol all day everyday

I am loving the way it is progressing... As here said sometimes playing songs of 90's on every moment gets quite repeated that can be avoided...
Its a real relief to watch something which so different and beautiful... I was hooked up with this show from the 1st promo itself😳

So true
Loving every bit of it... eagerly waiting for the next epi
I prefer not to miss it at 10:30 on TV so that I don't miss the song,.. in yt it's just plain bgm or some other song

Take your point totally. The only explanation I have is that I remember dancing on Teri deewani in my head, when I first crushed on someone too😆😆😆 its ridiculous and silly now that I think of it..and my husband would be totally😲 if I told him about😆😆😆

I think finally the story is turning tide with Naina Sameer actually pairing up for study and stuff :p

TBH, I am not really big on chemistry or couply stuff anymore..dunno, maybe just got over shipping onscreen couples etc..so yeah there are times when I wish for more family oriented scenes than couply stuff too😆just happy about the overall presentation of the show..and hope they maintain the sanctity of it.

Ohh absolutely I love the family nok-jhok as much and the bonding of two sisters..cute cute!

I get that they want to show a dreamy eyed Naina but the constant barrage of songs was getting a bit much for me...now they seem to have reduced it a bit mercifully since Naina has experienced "heartbreak"😆

LOL and just to clarify, I'm not watching this show for any chemistry either😆...I don't find this to be in that zone...the show works for it's sweet nostalgia and innocence...an unassuming quality to the experiences of the kids...otherwise the young actors are pretty average too.

The older cast is more seasoned and pull off the irreverent stuff nicely...but going by the usual history of TRPs and Sony, if they get too languid in their pace, it may be hard to sustain ratings...BBKD was way better paced than this and that never got much ratings sadly.

Anyways yeah, the story does seem to have taken a turn with a Naina put off by Sameer and Sameer himself finally trying to work towards a goal rather than just whiling away his time...let's see if they can find some momentum with this beyond just the mooning that Naina is busy doing all the time😆
